House Passes Bill To Make Deportation Of Criminal Illegal Aliens Easier And Quicker

Who would be surprised that the Democrats mostly objected?

(Washington Post) The House on Friday passed a bill that would restore the federal government’s ability to deport immigrants for a wide variety of violent criminal offenses in a vote that won quick praise from President Trump.

The Community Safety and Security Act aims to address an April Supreme Court ruling that found that the federal definition of a “crime of violence,” which under immigration law prompts the mandatory deportation of a noncitizen, is impermissibly vague. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Karen Handel (R-Ga.), specifically enumerates more than a dozen crimes that would qualify.

The bill passed 247-152, largely along party lines.

Democrats objected to the bill for being rushed to the floor without hearings or an amendment process in committee, though 29 broke ranks and supported it; four libertarian-oriented Republicans opposed it.

It’s a pretty simple bill, H.R. 6691. You can read and comprehend it in about 4 minutes.

Among the offenses that would be considered a “crime of violence” under the bill: “murder, voluntary manslaughter, assault, sexual abuse or aggravated sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, child abuse, kidnapping, robbery, carjacking, firearms use, burglary, arson, extortion, communication of threats, coercion, fleeing, interference with flight crew members and attendants, domestic violence, hostage taking, stalking, human trafficking, piracy, or a terrorism offense” defined elsewhere in federal law.

So, what’s the problem?

The American Civil Liberties Union and several immigrant-rights groups opposed the bill, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, warned its hasty consideration could create unforeseen consequences.

“The Judiciary Committee has had ample time to examine the decision, to hold hearings, to gather input from a range of stakeholders, and to carefully develop legislation through a markup and regular order,” he said Friday on the House floor. “But none of those things have happened. Instead, a bill with significant ramifications for criminal law and immigration cases was introduced just last week, while members were out of town, and is being rushed to the floor today without any adequate opportunity for review by the public, by legal experts, or by stakeholders.”

So, because they couldn’t spend 4 minutes reading the bill, they have a problem? A bill that defines what crimes of violence are, making it easier and faster to deport illegal aliens? It really doesn’t get any more simple for a Congressional bill than this. It’s almost like Democrats do not want to make it easier and quicker to deport illegal aliens that do things like sexually assault children.

I have for years been confused about the left. I mean to sum up their philosophy in a single sentence so that understanding what drives them becomes much easier to understand and ultimately deal with.

I watched a video last night made by a professor who is a leftist. He explained it very clearly to the point that I had that ahah moment.

“The left simply boils down to one simple concept.

    Oppressed vs Oppressor.

His points to explain this concept.

    1. It is why initially the left was hard supporters of Israel(they were the oppressed, nearly snuffed out little guys fighting to survive.) Then they became America light, a becon of democracy and tough little sons o beaches who stopped being the oppressed and in the eyes of the left started becoming the oppressors.

    2. Muslims. They do not care if they violate everything else that the left stands for (womens rights, abortion, gay rights, women excelling) No. Muslims have become an oppressed people by the very nature of the US, EU and many other BULLY countries fighting against these poor little oppressed people.

    3. American Indians. They were the oppressed despite everything they did would be frowned upon if the right did those things today. The thug that is America oppressed them. Therefore they are the oppressed and receive full backing and support by the left no matter their actions or deeds.

    4. Illegal immigrants. The Oppressed. They are beaten down in their home nation and therefore they should be allowed to move to the US and receive a standing ovation for breaking rules and laws and living illegally in our country. They are oppressed people and therefore receive the full endorsement by the left while the OPPRESSORS or those that would dare to say they should not be here are the real evil villians in this scenario.

    5. Global warming. The oppressed are those people who are incapable of standing against those in power to alter the climate. The Oppressors are corporations and politicians and people in general who deny global warming is a problem because AGW is clearly and oppressed vs oppressor scenario.

    6. Corporate America and capitalism. This quite clearly is the oppressed vs the oppressors. Capitalism is simply a means to ensure the oppressors remain in power and wealth why the oppressed do not share the bounty of the system. Capitalism must be struck down in favor of a system in which the oppressed can gain equality with their oppressors.

    7. Abortion vs the right to life. Oppressed are the poor women who are forced to have unwanted babies in a world where the oppressors force them to have a baby rather than abort it. This argument is truncated into the Oppressors becoming once again evil villians who want to control the bodies of women, while the oppressed stand heroically in opposition.

    8. Gay rights vs those who stand opposed. This again is the oppressed(gays) vs the oppressors. In essences the entire left is a culture in which it is VICTIMHOOD or bust. To ensure leftists remain in check they do not tolerate anyone who strays from this Oppressed vs Oppressor culture.

And that in a nutshell sums up the left. Oppressed vs Oppressor.

  2. JGlanton says:

It goes to another level. The oppressed are just tools to be used to further the goals of socialism. They don’t really care about them, and their actions keep the oppressed oppressed. The oppressed. Their true goal is to cause social instability through subversive and divisive rhetoric and use “the oppressed” to overload a society with social spending programs and class warfare to the point that hatred and division cause social panic and collapse so the socialists can take power. That’s why you always see groups like RevCom funding and organizing for BLM. The commies don’t give a sh!t about the blacks. All they want is chaos.

Sometimes it works, but often the hard right and military juntas use these opportunities to restore order.

  3. Jeffery says:

The American right strives to preserve caucasian, Christian, wealthy male hegemony. Every act, policy and thought derives from that premise.

  4. Jl says:

Yes, the fact that a law is in the works to deport “criminal illegal aliens” quicker causes J to immediately see racism behind it, which is what racists do. So J, what non-white males are we allegedly trying to get rid of?

    • Jeffery Keene says:

I was responding to another commenter.

I support the rapid deportation of immigrants who have committed crimes of violence.

Democrats objected to the bill for being rushed to the floor without hearings or an amendment process in committee,

The Dems have a point, too, don’t they?

The Dems can address in 2019 when they control the House.
