    I thought all the charges surrounding Killary for the last 40 years were all false. How can someone be pardoned for something they didn’t do?

    Although it would make a good historical epitaph: The Clintons, second President impeached first SecState needed to be pardoned.

    I believe like Ford did with Nixon, it is better for the country of we just drop the whole thing so Obama should pardon her.

    As I have said before, if he pardons Clinton, he is saying she committed a crime. If she accepts the pardon, she is admitting to the crime.

    The US Supreme Court has held in United States v. Burdick.:

    This brings us to the differences between legislative immunity and a pardon. They are substantial. The latter carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it. (emphasis ours)

    In Wilson v. United States, the Court wrote:

    A pardon is an act of grace, proceeding from the power entrusted with the execution of the laws, which exempts the individual on whom it is bestowed from the punishment the law inflicts for a crime he has committed. (emphasis ours)

    Once again, if Obama pardons her, he is saying she committed a crime(s). If she accepts the pardon, she is admitting that she committed the crime(s).

    I can’t see that happening.

    Therefore, if one really wanted to put Clinton in a box, the person who should pardon her is Trump. He can be magnanimous and want the country to move on, but he would be saying she committed crimes and if she accepts the pardon, she is admitting to those crimes. Either way, Trump looks good and Hillary looks horrible.

    If President Obama thought there was a reasonable likelihood that Trumpski’s DOJ would pursue malicious prosecution of Secretary Clinton he might be tempted. In any regard, this is just a continuing right-wing wet dream.

    Perhaps Mr. Obama should pardon Trumpski. Or arrest him.

    I would agree with you, but the problem is that Hillary and the Dems have not played fair with the transition. She or her minions are constantly challenging the legitimate claims of Trump to his fair winning of the election. In addition, millions of people in the US, and for that matter around the world, see this woman as a criminal and wonder why she hasn’t faced justice like the rest of us. She deserves her day in court.

    Comrade Trumpski and his minions label all unflattering news as “fake”. Israel can’t afford to gamble with their national security. Can Trumpski play footsies with Russia, Iran’s benefactor, AND hope to have an ally in Israel?

    Discussions held in closed forums recently raised fears of a leakage of Israeli intelligence top-classified information, clandestine modus operandi and sources, which have been exposed to the American intelligence community over the past 15 years, to Russia – and from there to Iran.
     
    The cause of concern are the suspicions of unreported ties between the president-elect or his associates and the Kremlin, whose agents are also associated with intelligence officials in Tehran.

    What is interesting about Jeffery’s citations is the alleged sources are people in the US Intelligence community. They would be the same people that have tried to de-legitimize Trump for quite some time.

    Is there any actual evidence to their claims? Nope. Not a shred. (There’s a bit of irony in the alleged sources in the “intelligence community” complaining about Trump not keeping secrets while divulging sensitive information as well.)

    So while the citations have concerns about Trump (not from the Israelis mind you) Jeffery conveniently forgets Clinton’s lack of security which opened up confidential emails and conversations to everyone in the world. Yet in Jeffery’s world, it is Trump who is the threat.

    Jeffery also conveniently missed these articles from the same source:

    The left has to criticize Trump in order to hide the massive and almost un-imaginable failure of the Obama administration and try to distract from Hillary’s role in that failure and her promise to “continue the path” laid down by Obama.

    Frankly, there is so much/many accusations and plain BS flying around and so many bad actors (pun intended) from celebrities making videos to scores of left wing outfits sending “protestors” to the inauguration it’s looking like an attempt at a soft coup to me. It’s one thing hating the outcome of an election and even the guy who won, I’ve been there. It’s another to attempt to make the entire government unstable like some third world commie shit hole.

    Listen, we all hope that the mentally ill Trumpski doesn’t destroy America out of his monumental ignorance and mercurial nature. We hope the extremist Repubs don’t destroy America with their ideology. Recall, more Americans voted for the other person than voted for Trumpski. We can be certain that Trumpski will take office with the lowest approval rating in modern history, as he has done nothing to assuage the concerns of the American people – in fact, he continues to antagonize normal Americans while he succors his radical base. He would rather be adored by a few than respected by many.

    The investigations into his sordid relationship(s) with Russia are just beginning. Fortunately for him, he has a rabid Congress to protect him.

    Trumpski will continue to attack, threaten and penalize those that criticize him. Maybe he’ll disclose his long-form birth certificate tax return. Once a petty tyrant loses the people he has no leverage except raw power and force.

    What Exactly Is Trumpism?
    Note the common denominator to the all these hostile groups: It is Trump the man, not Trump the avatar of some political movement that they detest. After all, there are no Trump political philosophers. There is no slate of down-ballot Trump ideologues. If Trump were to start a third party, what would be its chief tenets? There is as yet neither a Trump “Contract for America” nor a Trump “First Principles” manifesto.

    Nonetheless, from the 2016 campaign and from President-elect Trump’s slated appointments, past interviews, and tweets, we can see a coherent worldview emerging, something different from both orthodox conservativism and liberalism, though certainly Trumpism is far closer to the former than to the latter. Here may be a few outlines of Trumpist thought.

    Unless you plan on overthrowing the government of the United States Jeffery, you’re gonna have to. We know how you feel Jeffery. That’s how we felt when Obama was elected. Now you can understand how lousy it feels to have someone you consider an asshole as President. BUT, unlike many on the left we were able to put it behind us for the most part. Matter of fact, it was the left that continued blaming Bush for Obama’s fuck-ups for years if I recall even while any criticism of Obama was of course, raaaacist.

    You guys need to work through your stages of grief, get off denial and move on. You all were amusing for the first month, irritating for the second but now into the third it’s becoming pathetic. Plus, a great many of you sound unhinged.
