Goreacle: We Need To Fix “Democracy” To Fix Climate Doom Or Something

By “fix democracy” he means investing authoritative government in charge, and the Useful Idiot base level Warmists are all for losing their freedom and life choices

Al Gore on Midterms 2026: “To Solve the Climate Crisis, We Need to Address the Democracy Crisis”

I watched Al Gore in An Inconvenient Truth in my eighth-grade US history class. It was the first time I learned about the depth of climate science, and it has stayed with me ever since. I have spent years organizing in the climate space, mobilizing the masses to vote, pushing for policy at the federal level, and consulting with the United Nations. While most registered voters would prefer to vote for a candidate who supports climate action, however, it often feels like much of the older generation has abandoned the issue.

You mean the movie that can’t be taught in British schools without a large explainer on all the scientific errors?

Even so, Mr. Gore has become a beacon of what happens when you step into your own power. He has served as a congressman, senator, and vice president of the United States. He has been steadfast in his determination to ring the alarm bells on the climate crisis, and held the first hearings in Congress on climate.

He’s also made a lot of money doing this schtick, eh?

These midterm elections will determine the balance of power in the House of Representatives and the Senate. And that means these elections will determine what policies will pass, and what policies will crumble. The past two years have presented us with demoralizing rollbacks: trampled endangered species protections, dissolved air pollution standards, and an all-out assault on climate justice.

When you write “climate justice” you admit this is not scientific, but, political. The author, Saad Amer, interviews Gore, they apparently have a long relationship, but, also has this to say

These policies don’t shift unless we take in that power and get to the polls and shift things in the right direction. Yesterday, I was doing a text bank, and we were able to text 25,000 voters in Michigan. So many people were excited to get texts from us and were telling us that they had already voted. We had so many more people volunteer to tell their friends to get out and vote. One person told me that they were volunteering with Planned Parenthood and mobilizing voters, but that they had free time, and then they wanted to sign up for more shifts to mobilize people to vote.

Right now I think the name of the game is democracy. Come November 4, the day after the election, is when we get back to holding our elected officials accountable and making sure that they know which policies they need to implement and are actually doing their job and representing our communities.

Got that? Unless the right types of people and policies are in office, it is Not Democracy.

AG: I was excited that just in the last week, young people and students were responsible for a huge surprise victory in Serbia, overturning the Putin-friendly dictator-wannabe there and electing a new democratically focused government. And the same day, basically, young people and students pulled off a surprise victory in the second round of the elections for president in Brazil. The son of Bolsonaro was the victor in the first round, and students got busy and turned that around, so that we have a progressive leader of Brazil now being reelected.

The one thing I would add to what you said is: We need more young people who care about climate action to become more active participants in our democracy. That means, of course, voting in this election—and not just for Congress. Make sure you do your research on your local races as well, to learn about the candidates and policies in your area…. Public service commissions determine a lot of energy choices and school boards.

See? Unless you vote for far-left wackadoodle Communists (that’s Commies in practice, not Political Theory 101, which is very much about very, very limited government) to control your life you hate Democracy.

Al and slick Willie sold off the elk hills oil reserve back in their days in DC. That’s when oil was trading dirt cheap and it is always wise to sell at a low price and buy high later. sarc Of course it went to Occidental Petroleum and the Gore family friend Armand Hammer. They also violated the law by selling the reserve without Congressional approval. Such democracy.
