This should be the rule, not the exception
Yes, that is a real tweet from TSA. If members of Congress want to fly they can do it just like the rest of us if going through the TSA checkpoint. Heck, if they voted for Biden’s Green New Deal they should be denied entry and given directions to the train station.
DHS reverses course on suspending TSA PreCheck after outcry
The Department of Homeland Security reversed course Sunday morning after saying that it would suspend TSA PreCheck because of the partial government shutdown.
“TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public,” the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement. “As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly.”
A DHS official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal processes, said the change was “based off of conversations the secretary had with the White House and TSA.”
The Global Entry program, however, will remain paused, according to the official.
There are reportedly 20 million enrolled in PreCheck, so, I guess it’s good to keep it. Though, it really only saves about 10 minutes. And, really, most do not ask you to take your shoes off, nor take laptops out of bags anymore. Is keeping your belt and light jacket on worth it? If I flew a lot I’d rather have CLEAR, so you can skip right to the security check, skipping the lines.
What Democrats need to do is fund DHS. Stop playing games in trying to protect illegal alien criminals. ICE is already funded. Morons.
