Schumer: ‘No f???ing way’ Dems will back Trump DC takeover extension
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) declared on Wednesday that Democrats will not go along with a potential request by President Trump to extend federal control of the Washington, D.C., police department and deployment of the National Guard in the District.
Trump can unilaterally control the department for up to 30 days, but any extension beyond that period is up to Congress, meaning it would require the support of Senate Democrats. Schumer made clear in an interview on Wednesday that wouldn’t happen.
“No f???ing way,” Schumer told host Aaron Parnas.
“We’ll fight him tooth and nail. … He needs to get Congress to approve it, and not only are we not going to approve it, but there are some Republicans who don’t like either.”
Let’s say there has been a nice little drop in crime in 3 weeks, will Democrats still be fighting this? Do they understand that 90% of DC residents voted for Kamala, and that if they said “we’re going to back Trump within reason. We want to reduce the crime in the District, it looks bad for our nation’s capitol to have the crime. We want our constituents to be safe walking the streets, in their cars, and in their homes” the Democrat voters wouldn’t give Trump the credit, but, Democrats.
Both Maryland senators on Wednesday also told Semafor that they will not support any further plan to federalize the MPD.
“What Donald Trump is doing is, in some ways, a dress rehearsal for going after others around the country. And I think we need to stop this — certainly by the end of the 30 days,” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.). “This should never have started, so I definitely want to make sure it doesn’t continue.”
“We want our streets to be lawless” is a hell of a pitch, eh?

On Jan 6 2021, former FBI agent Wise spent the day listening to trump and then walked to the Capitol. He illegally entered the Capitol building and exited through a window, although he was not sure why.

We didn’t claim Dr Antoni was pardoned. There IS video evidence that Dr Antoni was in the crowd, but did not even do as much as to throw a sandwich at a police officer. Since the kerfufflers did no wrong, there is no need to defend them, but you be you.
Let me ask you this… If there WERE videos of Antoni beating a Capitol offer with a flag pole would you still defend him? Just wondering… Is a sandwich more dangerous than a flag pole?

Well, if there were videos of Mr Antoni beating a Capitol officer with a flagpole, or even so much as “did not engage in violence, but witnessed others damaging property and continued inside the building“, you can bet your last euro that the Republican-hating Merrick Garland and his minions would have charged him withy several offenses, though possibly plea bargained him down. Fortunately, he would have been pardoned, as were the rest of the Capitol kerfufflers, though he might have already completed whatever sentence he received.
