    The U.S. president’s Trump Organization family business and its local partners received approval for the project just last week from the Communist authorities in Vietnam, which is separately negotiating over tariffs with Washington.

    Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said Eric Trump’s visit “motivated us to expedite this project,” and urged local authorities to provide maximum support and facilitate the completion of the 2,446-acre resort.

    HUNG YEN, August 11 (Reuters) – Vietnamese farmer Nguyen Thi Huong has slept poorly since authorities told her to vacate her farm for a Trump family-backed golf resort, offering just $3,200 and rice provisions in return.

    The golf resort, for which construction is scheduled to begin next month, is offering thousands of villagers such compensation packages to leave the land that has provided their livelihood for years or decades, according to six people with direct knowledge and documents seen by Reuters.

      The democrats knew Mackey was innocent but they used the system to punish him anyway. All Mackey did was the same thing political cartoonists have been doing for hundreds of years.

        A jury found Mackey guilty of conspiring to illegally influence the election. Reactionary judges let him off the hook.

        The court found that the government failed to provide sufficient evidence that Mackey knowingly agreed to join the conspiracy. The court emphasized that mere association with individuals involved in an unlawful undertaking is not enough to prove knowing involvement in a conspiracy.

        In other words, a “technicality”. He tried to rig the vote, but the prosecution didn’t demonstrate “conspiracy”.

    Mackey was found guilty of conspiracy against rights by a federal jury in March 2023, facing up to 10 years in jail. In his trial, Mackey said that he had changed since 2016, and had started therapy in 2018. In October, he was sentenced to seven months in jail.

    On December 4, 2023, Mackey’s motion for release pending appeal was granted by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, staying his surrender date. The court ordered that his appeal be expedited. Oral arguments were heard on April 5, 2024, before a panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals consisting of Judges Debra Ann Livingston (R), Reena Raggi (R), and Beth Robinson (D).

    On July 9, 2025, the Second Circuit unanimously overturned Mackey’s conviction, finding that the government had failed to provide sufficient evidence that Mackey had conspired with others.

    How dare a reactionary federal court overturn a jury, right? They should be impeached, right?
