WVA AG Investigating Shady Climate Cult Groups

They really do not like it when the scales of justice are aimed their way

West Virginia Investigates Climate, Environmental Groups Over Alleged ‘Deceptive’ Acts

West Virginia’s Republican attorney general has launched a broad investigation into many of the state’s leading environmental groups, demanding a decade of internal records involving their fundraising and climate change advocacy as part of a probe into “alleged unfair or deceptive acts,” court records show.

The environmental groups decried the inquiry as a sham, and at least two asked a judge Thursday to dismiss subpoenas from the attorney general’s office they described as harassing and overly broad.

Attorney General JB McCuskey has urged federal authorities to investigate and defund certain climate advocacy organizations and said protecting the state’s fossil fuel energy industry from what he’s characterized as overreaching liberal climate and energy policies is a priority of his office.

The subpoenas seek records related to the groups’ public statements on climate and energy, internal deliberations and requests for donations. The documents offer few details of any alleged deception but say they concern “an investigation into alleged unfair or deceptive acts” and invoke “other possible violations” of the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act.

“This investigatory subpoena from our state’s attorney general is nothing more than a fishing expedition intended to stifle our collective voice in our advocacy for clean water, protected public lands and healthy communities,” Jennie Smith, executive director of the West Virginia Rivers Coalition — one of the groups that went to court to fight the subpoena — said in a statement.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The sad part about so many “environmental” groups, besides being part of the scam climate cult, is that they tend to not spend much of that money they raise on the stated mission. Most goes to things like salaries, perks, raising more money, and paying off politicians.

David Cole, a Georgetown Law professor and First Amendment scholar, called the West Virginia investigation “frivolous” and said the subpoenas should be quashed.

“If government officials can start prosecuting nonprofit groups because they disagree with the political view they take on a matter of public concern, that would chill a tremendous amount of protected political expression,” Cole told The Associated Press. “The proper place to fight this out is in the court of public opinion and in the labs of scientists — not in criminal investigations that essentially seek to weaponize the criminal arm of the state to take sides in a political debate.”

Interesting, because they had no problem with the Biden and Obama admins going after Conservative and Christian groups. Maybe because those groups did not engage in fraud that put money in Democrat pockets. Also, he can talk about the court of public opinion, but, the cult groups engage in a lot of climatelawfare, filing suits left and right to try and force Everyone Else to follow the cult’s beliefs.

    Investigating!!! OMG
Even though Trump’s DOJ has a piss poor conviction rate against Trump’s political enemies Teach still gets a chubby every time a new investigation is announced

13 months ago big headlines about 10 billion or 20 billion in MN “Somali” fraud announced. There are about 300000 “Somalis” in the USA 290000 are American citizens,1/2 by birth right 1/2 by naturalization. The remaining 10000 are mostly aged who are unable to pass the citizenship test.

That all seems to have just turned to smoke and blown away

Given how much fraud using taxpayer dollars is being uncovered, investigations are pretty much required.

The FBI, under the Biden Administration, was surveilling “radical traditionalist Catholics,” which basically means Catholics who preferred the traditional Latin Mass, even though the President himself was (purportedly) Catholic. But it was all OK, because Catholic Democrats are far more concerned about being Democrats than being Catholic.

Dana your rebuttal about the “alleged” possible state and federal felonies concerning the child prostitution involving Lindsey Graham left out the important fact that with the 17yo the offended took place in AZ which sets the age of consent at 18.
Of course the Mann Act crossing state lines makes no mention of age.

As for fraud? Have you noticed how the 10 billion Somali fraud uncovered 13 months ago seems to have disappeared? Did it ever really exist or was it just more of Trump’s lies and fantasies ?
