Climate yfrlit is correct that the area in France burned is less than in other years. It fails to mention the fire season is only half way over.
Teach is always using a fallacious tactic in his arguments “an appeal to authority’ Dr Pielke is a learned and man and an expert do he must be believed.
When in actuality his views are considered quite controversial and have been critiqued by the consensus of the majority of actual non political scientists.

Pielke Jr is a fellow at the far-right American Enterprise Institute. Like so many on the right Pielke Jr has become a climate change artful dodger.
He writes:
“The IPCC has concluded that greenhouse gas emissions resulting from human activity are an important driver of changes in climate. And on this basis alone I am personally convinced that it makes sense to take action to limit greenhouse gas emissions.”
