Democrats Super Worried Interview With DSA Member Will Hurt Them

The DSA is the natural progression of how wacko Democrats have become, and, come on, few are actually calling the DSA out

Democrats fear viral DSA interview on Fox News will leave a scar

Democrats are worried that widely circulated comments from a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) leader outlining the group’s priorities could become Republican attack fodder as the midterm elections draw closer.

The unease from moderate Democrats intensified after Megan Romer, DSA co-chair, was asked a lightning round of questions on Sunday during a Fox News interview about the organization’s platform, answering true to several proposals, including abolishing the Senate and — as a long-term goal — prisons.

If they don’t become GOP ads then some Republicans need to be fired for failing to play Politics 101

Now, on the heels of a string of primary victories by DSA candidates in states including New York and Colorado, some Democrats worry that it will have an impact on Democrats across the board.

“You now have to argue to voters that you aren’t insane when you want to talk about making groceries cheaper,” said Democratic strategist Steve Schale.

“It’s all just off message,” Schale said, adding that Democrats in competitive races will now “have to spend time and research dollars learning how it impacts the race, then you may have to spend limited campaign resources pushing back on the idea that you want to eliminate the presidency or close prisons when you need to be talking about how to make life more affordable.”

It’s the only message Democrats seem to have, other than Orange Man Bad. You had the serious rise of the DSA wackos in the Squad around 2018, and they kept rising because Democrats offered no real message, so, they filled the void and the Democrat base, unhinged wackos who cosplay as Marxist revolutionaries, ate it up, particularly the affluent ones.

Fox News’s Shannon Bream asked Romer a string of rapid-fire, true or false questions — including whether the DSA platform includes “abolishing the Senate,” to which Romer replied, “True.”

“Replace the presidency and Supreme Court as we now know them?” Bream asked on Sunday.

“Yep,” Romer replied.

Romer then proceeded to say a DSA government would “absolutely” abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. When asked if a DSA government would abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone who is in the U.S. illegally, Romer replied, “As a long-term plan, yep.”

They really do believe this stuff. They want to release everyone from jail, get rid of the cops (of course, they’ll all have their own private security), ban all guns, and so much more.

Democratic strategist Hyma Moore warned that the interview is “going to hurt DSA candidates first, but it will weigh down on Democrats writ large.”

“They’re talking about burning the whole thing down and that’s not where people are,” Moore said. “They don’t want to burn the whole thing down.”

“This is going to be an albatross Dems have got to watch out for,” he added.

These are your people. Most Democrats won’t call them out, because they’re more concerned with winning than anything else, just like with Graham “Nazi Tattoo” Platner. The complete wackos were elected because of Bush Derangement Syndrome, and then they started getting more and more extreme. Have fun!

The platform itself reads like a fever dream a committee wrote line by line. A 32-hour workweek with no reduction in pay and benefits, a federal jobs guarantee, canceling all student debt, and free college from pre-K through graduate school anchor the economic wish list, alongside healthcare that is universal, free, and includes gender-affirming care as a guaranteed right.

Unfortunately, a large number of Democrats who were indoctrinated in colleges think this is great.

The DSA is just as blunt about reimagining how the government works. The platform seeks statehood for Washington, D.C., self-determination for U.S. territories, and the abolition of both the Electoral College and the Senate, alongside an expanded House and a presidency and Supreme Court that answer to Congress instead of operating independently. The DSA wants to swap the two-party system for proportional representation and ranked-choice voting and pay for all of it through full public financing of every election.

Which would leave the Dems in charge permanently. Because Democracy or something.
