    President Donald Trump defended Chinese purchases of U.S. farmland during a trip to Beijing this week, arguing that restricting foreign ownership would hurt American farmers by driving down land values.

    The remarks, delivered during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, marked a sharp reversal from Trump’s previous hardline stance on Chinese ownership of American agricultural land and immediately intensified concern among farmers and national security hawks already uneasy about Beijing’s growing footprint in U.S. agriculture.

    On the campaign trail, Trump was already warning against Chinese acquisitions in the U.S.

    At a Smithton farm event in Pennsylvania in September 2024, he said that the U.S. should block Chinese purchases of farmland, adding: “we don’t want you buying our land.”

    Just another campaign promise broken… It sounded good on the campaign trail, but he TACOed out in China. Is there money in it for trump Inc?

      President Trump’s face-to-face meeting this week with Chinese President Xi Jinping comes as members of Congress are calling for a crackdown on China’s ability to acquire U.S. farmland, citing national security concerns.

      Ahead of his visit, a bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced new legislation that aims to close what they described as “dangerous loopholes” allowing foreign adversaries like China to purchase American farmland and real estate near U.S. military bases.

    US farmers screaming at Trump over fertilizer and diesel costs many will not plant, especially with current long term drought.
    China at Trump’s urging has removed tariffs on US imported beef. This will further inflate domestic beef prices.
    Current national avg 80% lean $6.90 That is an ALL TIME RECORD HIGH!!! From our dear leader who promised grocery prices would drop. He promised gas under 2 bucks. Fentanyl? Fenty prices have dropped because of oversupply in the domestic supply. Prices as low as 25cents wholesale in New Mexico Saving American drug addicts BILLIONS !!!

    On the bright side, oil/gas company stocks are up about 30%. That’s where your $4.50/gal gas cost is going. Are they investing in further exploration, LOL? Of course not.

    Billionaire Donny is taking dollars out of your pockets and redistributiing to his billionaire donors! No wonder he’s in no hurry on Iran.

    The media saw Boeing jets, soybeans, tariffs, and another “trade summit.”
    They missed the whole damn board. ??????
    Trump didn’t go to Beijing just to shake hands and count purchase orders. He went there to manage the new world order taking shape right in front of everyone’s face.
    Xi gets the personal visit.
    China gets reassurance.
    Europe gets squeezed.
    Russia moves energy.
    Iran becomes leverage.
    And the old globalist trade machine starts coughing blood.
    That was the real story.
    This wasn’t about soybeans.
    This was Trump and Xi, the two biggest economic apex predators on the planet, making sure their countries stay deconflicted while the entire geopolitical map gets redrawn.
    The press is still counting cargo containers while Trump is moving continents.
    And if the timing around Russia’s LNG, Iran, Qatar, China’s energy needs, and Europe’s economic faceplant looks a little too perfect?
    Maybe that’s because Trump isn’t reacting to the moment.
    He’s been planning for it.
