    Democrats Al Green and Christian Menefee will face off in a runoff election in May after failing to clear 50% of votes Tuesday.

    Longtime Rep. Al Green secured 44.2% of votes in the Democratic primary for Houston’s 18th Congressional District while Menefee, Texas’ newest congress member, received 46%, per The Associated Press.
