Mamdani Is Going After NYC Cops

When I wrote this in the morning I was joking: “Hey, maybe the city could simply defund all the cops, fire departments, and sanitation”. But, really, you just had to know that Mamdani would want to get rid of cops

The NYPD is already down at least 16% from their budget for officers, which is also well below what they really need. I’m betting Zohran’s security detail will not see cuts.

I expect he’ll start cutting NYFD personnel next.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Crime rates (especially for violent crime) have been dropping rapidly since the 2021 peak, while during the same period the number of police officers has been dropping.

Why do you think that is? Fewer police, less crime?

“Escape from New York” is going from the big screen to real life.

Only a moron thinks national crime stats are applicable to a city that has lost its collective mind. NYC probably hasn’t even been reporting their crime stats, to avoid embarrassment.

“The New York City and Los Angeles police departments are among the 40% of law enforcement agencies nationwide not sharing their 2021 crime data with the FBI.”
