Federal judge temporarily blocks Trump’s termination of protections for Haitians
A federal judge has paused for now the Trump administration’s termination of Temporary Protected Status for more than 350,000 Haitians. The status, known as TPS, allows holders to live and work in the US and was set to expire after Tuesday.
In a harsh 83-page opinion, US District Court Judge Ana Reyes of the District of Columbia on Monday granted the request by five Haitian TPS holders to temporarily block the termination while the case works its way through the courts.
The plaintiffs are challenging the Department of Homeland Security’s termination, arguing the agency didn’t conduct the necessary review of whether it’s safe to return to Haiti before deciding to terminate the protection. The suit also alleges the agency’s decision stems, in part, from President Donald Trump’s “racial, ethnic, and national-origin animus towards Haitians.”
Reyes slammed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem for referring to certain immigrants, including Haitians, as “killers, leeches, or entitlement junkies” on X in December. Plus, the judge wrote, Noem “ignored Congress’s requirement that she ‘review the conditions’ in Haiti only ‘after’ consulting ‘with appropriate agencies.’”
The thing is, the TPS was given an 18 month extension, which is the norm for a TPS period, which ends today, February 3rd, 2026. It’s right there in the name: Temporary. It’s not permanent.
Haitian immigrants became eligible after an earthquake rocked the country in 2010. The designation has since been renewed multiple times as the country faces a host of crises, including widespread violence by armed gangs, food insecurity, displacement and a leadership vacuum after the president was assassinated in 2021.
This has been going on for 16 years. How many are assimilating? How many are basically stuck in their 3rd (4th?) world shithole mentality? Why does no one else want to take them in? Why does the Dominican Republic have a big wall between the DR and Haiti? Heck, maybe it’s time to let the DR take over running the whole island so they can civilize the other part.
According to census figures, around 3100 flights for Haitians, and fewer than 1000 flights for Somalis (of 300 passengers each), could REMOVE everyone of these two nations of heritage from our country. Just saying. Fewer than the number of flights most airports see a month for sure.

Before deporting the asylees, we’re supposed to determine if where we’re shipping them is safe.
The communist judge, Ana Reyes, was born in Uruguay, no doubt a 3rd world shithole. She was nominated by President Biden and is, of course, gay. It’s unclear if she eats dogs and cats.
Incongruously, Judge Reyes ruled against the Biden administration, blasting them for NOT complying with Republican subpoenas in the Hunter Biden laptop investigation!!
Judge Reyes also sentenced Charles E. Littlejohn, who leaked the tax returns of Donald Trump to the media, to five years in prison, saying, “When you target the sitting president of the United States, you’re targeting the office and when you’re targeting the office of the President of the United States, you’re targeting democracy — you’re targeting our constitutional system of government.”
She also accused the Biden DOJ of hypocrisy for prosecuting Trump administration official, Peter Navarro, then director of White House National Trade Council, and as the director of the new Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy.
The trump administration needs to amp up deportations to meet Stephen (goebbels) Miller’s target of 3000 deportations per day.

Medicare costs Americans about $0.9 TRILLION/yr!! (Avg about $16,000 per person per year).
Social Security costs Americans about $1.5 TRILLION/yr!! (Avg about $25,000 per person per year).
White folks over 62 collect Medicare and Social Security until they die, usually much more than 10 years!!
