Bummer: Trump Admin Revokes Palestinian Visas Ahead Of (worthless) UN Meeting

Well, yeah, why would we allow terrorists into the U.S.? The Biden admin is no longer in charge

US revokes visas of Palestinian president and other officials ahead of UN General Assembly

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has revoked the visas of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and 80 other officials ahead of next month’s annual high-level meeting of the U.N. General Assembly, a step the Palestinian Authority decried as against international law.

A State Department official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss visa issues that are normally confidential, disclosed Friday that Abbas and other officials from the Palestinian Authority were among those affected by new visa restrictions. Palestinian representatives assigned to the U.N. mission, however, were granted exceptions.

The move is the latest in a series of steps the Trump administration has taken to target Palestinians with visa restrictions and comes as the Israeli military declared Gaza’s largest city a combat zone. The State Department also suspended a program that had allowed injured Palestinian children from Gaza to come to the U.S. for medical treatment after a social media outcry by some conservatives.

The State Department said in a statement that Rubio also ordered some new visa applications from Palestinian officials, including those tied to the Palestine Liberation Organization, be denied.

“It is in our national security interests to hold the PLO and PA accountable for not complying with their commitments, and for undermining the prospects for peace,” the statement said.

It said that to be considered partners for peace, the groups “must consistently repudiate terrorism, and end incitement to terrorism in education, as required by U.S. law and as promised by the PLO.”

The PLO was designated a terrorist organization by Congress back in 1987, though there have been presidential waivers since 1988 after they recognized Israel. But, still, a terrorist organization. And they’ve sure been Israel and Jew haters as of late, so, yeah, we do not need them here. And how many in the delegation might be members of the Hamas, a State Dept designated terrorist organization? The Trump admin is not playing with these people, and won’t let them in so they can rail against the U.S. and Israel on US soil.

Pro-Palestinian conference panelist calls US ‘evil,’ urges ‘destroying the idea of America’

A panelist speaking at the “People’s Conference for Palestine” in Detroit on Friday called the United States “an evil country” and expressed a need to “destroy the idea of America in Americans’ heads.”

Speaking on a panel titled “No Weapons for Genocide: The People Demand an Arms Embargo,” Sachin Peddada, a Ph.D. student in economics and research coordinator at Progressive International, repeatedly ripped on the United States as an “empire” motivated by greed.

In response to a question about how Americans can get more involved, Peddada paraphrased a quote by deceased Palestinian author Bassel al-Araj, saying, “The average American will never understand the plight of the Palestinian person because the state of Israel is a carbon copy of the United States.

“And, therefore, the thing to do is to destroy the idea of America in Americans’ heads so that they can see the humanity of everybody outside the warping of American exceptionalism and imperialism and all these evil things.”

There were lots of US and Jew haters at the conference, which goes on through the weekend. I hope Marco Rubio is paying attention, and cancelling the visas of those on one. Too bad he can’t boot out Rashida Tlaib, who was a sponsor of the event.
