   As of August 4, 2025, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is experiencing a significant rebound, having risen over 500 points today. This increase reflects a 1.3% gain, following a recent sell-off due to disappointing labor data and trade uncertainties.

   All-Time High
   Record High: The DJIA reached its all-time high of over 45,000 points on December 4, 2024.
   Current Value: The DJIA is currently just 1 percentage point away from this record high.

   that is a German beer “boot” and she holding it wrong. as it is, when the level gets low enough
   all of the beer in the toe part will come out in a rush say we say.
   with the “toe” to the side is the right way to drink out of one of those beer glasses.
   yeah, I spent a few years over there back in the 1970’s. had a hell of a time too !

   Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll has pulled the plug on an attempt by someone at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point to hire Joe Biden’s director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Jen Easterly, a retired Army colonel, a West Point graduate, and former head of CISA, was supposed to assume duties “as the Robert F. McDermott Distinguished Chair in the department of social sciences at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.”
   In an announcement distributed via X, Secretary Driscoll stated that Easterly’s appointment was not approved and ordered a total review of how it came to be.

   My, how refreshing it is to have an executive branch actually run by smart and competent people who actually like the country they are running and want to make it better!!! No wonder that Democrats are going even more berserk than normal.

   Most types of extreme weather exhibit no statistically significant long-term trends over the available historical record. While there has been an increase in hot days in the U.S. since the 1950s, a point emphasized by AR6, numbers are still low relative to the 1920s and 1930s. Extreme convective storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts exhibit considerable natural variability, but long-term increases are not detected.
