On The Whole Sydney Sweeney Jeans Ad Is Nazi

I’m sure you’ve seen it

I mean, seriously, the left has been going Category 5 Moonbat for days over this. Why? Well, they’re nutbar for one. For another, most of these 1st World libs really have nothing really bad in their lives, so they have to invent Bad Thing. This is what led to microaggressions and such. And liberals like to always look for the worst and complain, because barking at the moon make them happy, which makes them sad because they are happy. They just cannot enjoy.

Now, there are lots of reasons why we see so much moonbatting. Consider one of them, that it is so easy to do. For those old enough to remember, go back to the late 70s when the Rolling Stones released Some Girls. There were a few songs, particularly Miss You and Some Girls, which some freaked over, including Excitable Jesse Jackson. But, most who complained had to work for it. It wasn’t as simple as today.

Want to complain? You had to either call or write a letter. Calling? Well, you had to look the number up in a phone book. But, say, if I wanted to call a NYC rock radio station I’d have to either go to the library to look at a phone book for NYC or call 411, because the phone books for my area south of NYC on the Jersey shore didn’t have those numbers. Then you would have to call and talk to someone.

Sending a letter required one to hand write or use an actual typewriter, and you had to consider what you were writing. Couldn’t just erase and start again. Then you had to work to get the address. Put it in an envelope. Get a stamp. Put it in a mailbox. So, you had to say to yourself “Am I upset enough to do this?”

Nowadays it is too easy. All the social media, email, making your own stupid videos. People can make the most minor things into mountains. And they demand that Everyone Comply. “It is about all of us!!!!!” No matter how rando the person is. It’s rarely “this upsets me, I don’t like it.” Look, I do not care for PRS guitars. Something about their necks. But, I don’t bother complaining, I don’t demand they change for me. I move on.

They all think they can Do Something about these minor things. How about just leaving us alone? If you’re upset do not buy the product. Stop being unhinged. You’re a tiny vocal minority. Go to the gym. Ride a bike. Go for a walk. Listen to some music. Watch a movie. Take up a hobby. Play guitar. Read a book. Stay away from social media. Stop being wackadoodle and insufferable.

Do what I do with these ‘woke’ and delusional moonbats: Ignore them.

Mr teach forgot to give any examples of widespread criticisms.

In any event we all realize that white supremacists believe caucasians are genetically superior to non-caucasians. And given that we have a white supremacist wannabe chief exec people can be overly sensitive.

Clearly Neil deGrasse Tyson, Frederick Douglass, Michael Jordan, Halle Berry, MLK Jr, Lebron James, Louis Armstrong, Usain Bolt, A’ja Wilson, George Washington Carver, Simone Biles, Tracy K. Smith, Stevie Wonder, Amanda Gorman, Willie Mays, WEB DuBois, Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, Aretha Franklin, James Baldwin, Sade, Langston Hughes, Katherine Johnson, Rev William Barber, Josephine Baker, Richard Wright… have better genes than most white people. Or maybe they just worked harder. So some individuals may have superior gene-based qualities than other individuals. Big deal.

Those criticizing Ms Sweeney’s commercial are being a little too sensitive.

Given that the objection to Mis Sweeney’s ad is that the implication is that “good genes” made her prettier than most people — something objectively true — you have conflated attractive with being genetically superior in general.

Those criticizing Ms Sweeney’s commercial are being a little too sensitive.

Isn’t that the general modus operandi for the Special Snowflakes™ on the left?

    • Those criticizing Sidney are wackjobs. All she did was pose, she didn’t make the ad campaign. If they want to criticize American Eagle, that would be one thing: denigrating Sydney is absurd. Calling her a Nazi is absurd. Trying to link to her initials is absurd.

You’re also missing the point that this is a big nothingburger, just some people feel the need to go Full Moonbat, and it is too easy to Complain.

It’s just another public relations gig, silly.
        Successful too!

        However she’s a big fan.

        • Dana says:

American Eagle has to be loving this: look at all of the free advertising they’ve gotten. Their stock is up 15% over a month ago as well.

This was incredibly smart advertising. Women’s jeans have gone from skin tight to the wider leg, and this advertising, which is designed to catch the eyes of men, helps get men used to wider leg, more relaxed jeans on women, which encourages more women to buy the new jeans because they are less likely to think that men won’t like them.

Let’s tell the unvarnished truth here: slender, blue-eyed, blonde-haired young women have been the standard of beauty in advertising ever since we’ve had photographs in advertising. While definitions of slender may vary slightly — bigger or smaller boobs for example, or the famous “thigh gap” — fatties will never fit the standard. We have had a couple of spells of redheads replacing blondes, but those, too, have been temporary.

The woke just can’t stand the idea that white women might be regarded as simply more attractive, generally speaking, than non-white women. And we have seen some ‘women of color’ used in advertising, but look at which ‘women of color’ get used: unless they are ‘celebrities,’ almost always they are ‘women of color’ with enough Caucasian ancestry to give them more European features!

Blondes? There are tons of women who lighten their hair, but how many real blondes choose to dye their hair darker? Not many!

Blue eyes? Well, there’s not really a lot you can do about eye color. I did know a girl, back in the early 90s, who had beautiful, deep brown eyes who got some blue contacts, but the deep brown behind those contacts made the blue contacts show an unnatural shade.

Then, and this really frosts black women, we have the preference among many black men for white women, while the reverse just isn’t a thing, despite a few simps like Doug Emhoff. If you ever see the silly “WAGS”, “wives and girlfriends”, of NBA players and the like, you’ll see a whole bunch of black athletes and their white girlfriends.

I don’t know: perhaps areas which have very few white people, the cultural preference is for black women, since that’s what the people there are used to, but in every country in which whites are the majority, the standards of beauty have been what I said: slender, blonde-haired, blue-eyed younger women.

  6. Elwood P. Dowd says:

The trajectory of all this is well rehearsed at this point. Progressive posters register their outrage. Reactionaries respond in kind by cataloging that outrage and using it to portray their ideological opponents as hysterical, overreactive, and out of touch (i.e., Snowflakes).

Then savvy content creators glom on to the trending discourse and surf the algorithmic waves on TikTok, X, and every other platforms. Yet another faction emerges: People who agree politically with those who are outraged about Sydney Sweeney but wish they would instead channel their anger toward actual Nazis. All the while, media outlets survey the landscape and attempt to round up these conversations into clickable content.

    Rinse and repeat.
