(Washington Times) Illegal immigrants plan to picket the White House Monday afternoon, calling on fellow immigrant-rights advocacy groups to refuse to meet with the Obama administration until President Obama specifically includes illegal immigrants in any future meetings.
“We are among the millions of people who will either benefit or be harmed by the decisions the President makes, and we are here to represent ourselves in any future negotiations,†said Rosi Carrasco, one of organizers, in a statement announcing the action.
Billing themselves “undocumented immigrant leaders,†the organizers said they will erect a picket line to symbolize their demand.
Sadly, these illegals will surely not be arrested during the protest.
Anyhow, again, this is exactly part of the reason illegals have created a backlash: they Demand. As I noted a few weeks ago
They demand that legal American citizens change to accommodate the illegals. The illegals want to “shift the conversation around citizenshipâ€. They can start by stopping the entitlement mentality and being all sorts of demandy. Post 9/11, when the security of the border and concerns over those who were overstaying their visas become a serious issue, illegals could been humble and conformed to America. They could have shown that they really wanted to be Americans, not citizen of another country who was legally entitled to be in America. Stop demanding we provide them with social services, healthcare, taxpayer money, housing, all sorts of things in their language. Instead, they did the opposite. America is a generous country. Illegals took heavy advantage of that generosity, and the resulting backlash is of their own making.
Now they’re demanding representation. This is like gang members demanding that they be allowed representation on parole boards and prison administration. Along those lines:

That works out to about 22 per county
Teach do you think your county could handle that size of an invasion ? Or would it be overwhelmed. ?
And we add them to the tens of millions already here. And the ones the illegals want to bring as family members. Few who are interested in assimilation, being a part of the US, who demand we accommodate them.
Tell you what: we’ll send them all to liberal cities as wards. No voting rights, y’all pay for them and deal with the crime and problems. It hasn’t worked out well for California so far.
And you miss a central point about the US supposed to being a nation of law, not a nation of whim.
John’s type will never tell us what number of illegals would be unacceptable or how much money the Government should steal from us to support them. Big Thinkers! They usually destroy everything that they touch.
