NYAG sues to safeguard gender-affirming care
New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday joined 20 other attorneys general and the governor of Pennsylvania in suing the Trump administration over a new rule that blocks states from receiving federal Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding for gender-affirming care provided to transgender youth.
The rule, issued last month by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), prohibits Medicaid reimbursement for what is considered medically necessary health care required to treat gender dysphoria in patients under 18, and imposes similar restrictions on CHIP coverage for patients under 19, AG James’ announcement explained.
AG James and the coalition allege that CMS “exceeded its authority” by prohibiting federal reimbursement for health care that states have chosen to cover.

If states have chosen to cover health care for illegals, let the states pay for it, not the Federal government and out-of-state taxpayers.

The Haitians being deported were mot identified as receiving any Federal benefits. The Gov of Ohio a GOP came right out and said that the Haitians in Springfield Ohio the ones the rightwing accused of eating dogs, had revitalized the town and were working in low paying factory jobs that Americans refused to do.
Historically it has always been the rightwing of American politics that has hated immigrants. The Irish, the Italians the Jews, the orientals have ALL been hated. It was the rightwing who fought FDR when he wanted to accept Jews fleeing the Holocaust. The rightwing should be in shame for how they have alsway treated immigrants, legal or not.
