El-Sayed faces ‘uphill battle’ winning Jewish support in Michigan

For him, Abdul El-Sayed’s narrow win over fellow Democrat Haley Stevens in the Aug. 4 primary for a pivotal seat in the U.S. Senate represents not a victory by progressives over the establishment, as it is often framed, but a triumph of radicalism and the normalization of rhetoric he believes puts Jewish people at risk from violence.

“It is just a scary time right now,” Tigay, 44, who has three young children, said in an Aug. 5 telephone interview.

The problem here is that so many Jews, along with so many Democrats, went along with the stream flowing towards hyper-leftist Democrats, not paying to the notion that so many of the Progressives were indoctrinated in the late 90s and early 2000s to hate Israel which morphed into hating Jews and supporting Islamic extremists. Or just ignored the flow

Specific concerns identified by Michigan Jewish voters in interviews with the Detroit Free Press include:

The March 13 video message that El-Sayed issued one day after the terrorist attack in which a Dearborn Heights man committed suicide after ramming a pickup truck into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township while an on-site school was in session. Though El-Sayed’s message condemned the attack and antisemitism, he also noted that the alleged attacker lost family members in an Israeli airstrike on Lebanon. “Violence always begets violence,” El-Sayed said, because “hurt people hurt people.” Many Jewish people interpreted that as making an excuse for the attack.

Campaigning with Hasan Piker. The controversial far-left political commentator and critic of Israel, known for once saying that America “deserved” the 9/11 terrorist attack, spoke at El-Sayed events at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University in April and also appeared, though he did not speak, at an El-Sayed campaign event in Detroit on Aug. 3. El-Sayed has said he disagrees with some of Piker’s statements but had not otherwise distanced himself from him, saying it is important for Democrats to engage with a wider audience.

El-Sayed, like so many on the far left, do not believe in the right of Israel to exist and take the side of the murderous Palestinians and Hamas.

Rabbi Aaron Starr of Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield said much of the fear and concern related to El-Sayed’s win stems from his statement after the attack on Temple Israel, when he chose to “falsely justify an act of terrorism.”

Further, “if a right-wing politician were to platform a member of the Ku Klux Klan, we would be outraged,” Starr said in an Aug. 6 telephone interview. “In the same way, when Dr. El-Sayed platforms Hassan Piker, we are outraged.”

These Democrats have been playing with the wackos in the Dem party for a long time, and now are shocked that Jew hatred and support for Islamism is normalized and mainstream. Some are saying they will vote for Mike Rogers. Probably not, they will most likely just not vote. Or, their moonbattery will cause them to still vote for El-Sayed.

“I think El-Sayed has an uphill battle to try to convince Jewish voters to support him,” said Porn, who is not Jewish.

“He needs to make the case and it will be a tough case to make. There are a lot of Jewish voters who have talked to me who have said they will have a tough time voting for El-Sayed.”

Asked about El-Sayed campaigning with Piker, “if I were advising El-Sayed I would tell him to throw him under the bus,” Porn said.

Any backtracking by El-Sayed will just be lies and fake. Will these far left Jews fall for it? They have so far, thinking the alligator will eat them last. But, the gator is here.

Democrats aren’t coddling Scandinavian-style socialists; they’re getting into bed with a nihilistic, deconstructionist brand of third-worldism.

It’s an ideology that seeks the elimination of prisons, policing, borders, the Senate, the presidency, the Supreme Court and democratic free markets.

A worldview that aligns with genocidal jihadist movements like Hamas.

There are, sadly, too many Democrats who are Useful Idiots, and fail to see that Islamism is in direct competition with them. That Democrats are helping the Islamists.
