Like this wackjob, who became a total disappointment
The other GOP wackjob was Warren Davidson (R-Ohio)
Congress declines to halt Iran war
The House rebuffed an effort to halt war with Iran on Thursday, as Republicans teamed with a handful of Democrats to grant President Donald Trump free rein to conduct the vast military campaign.
House lawmakers, in a tight 212-219 vote, rejected a bipartisan war powers resolution that would require Congress to sign off on Middle East operations, a day after the Senate voted against a similar measure.
The back-to-back defeats of war powers legislation come as top officials warn U.S. military operations will soon intensify. And it signals that Trump’s fellow Republicans are sticking with him on Iran — at least publicly.
Republicans benefited from Democratic defections to help defeat the Iran war measure, which was offered by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).
Of course Massie had to work with far left moonbat Khanna to end a war that already started, and is like 47 years beyond when it should have happened.
Four Democrats — Reps. Henry Cuellar of Texas, Jared Golden of Maine, Greg Landsman of Ohio and Juan Vargas of California — defied their party to help kill the legislation.
So, only 4 Democrats wanted to not wave the white flag, wanted to continue letting the Iranian nutjobs scream Death To America, abuse their citizens, treat women as 2nd class citizens. Where are all the feminists in Congress?
“What are our objectives? How will this all end?” asked House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. “If this military action, this war, is so principled, why is the president unwilling or unable to make his case directly to the American people?”
Um, because we don’t want to give away our plans less than a week into bombing parts of Iran back to the stone age.

Funny how Hakeem Jeffries thinks only he speaks for the American people with al his rhetorical questions.
Bwaha! Lolgf Loser!
MAGA47 Motherfucker!
Maybe he should have a little chat with Hakeem Jeffries.

Wackjob William feels his God-King The Donald of Mar-a-Largo should rule with absolute power!!
Article 1 of our Constitution states that only Congress can declare war.
50% of the reasonable men in KY thinks only Congress can declare war. Congress last declared war in June 1942! Have we gone to war since then? Several times: Korea (Truman; 37,000 U.S. dead; ~$1 trillion), Vietnam (LBJ; 58,000; ~$1+ trillion), Iraq (W; 4400; $2-3 trillion), Afghanistan (W; 2500; $2.3 trillion), Iran (Trump; 6; ~$1 billion/da).
American taxpayers are still paying interest on the monies borrowed to finance the wars.
Article I states that lawmakers “shall have power … to declare war.” Article II, makes presidents the “commander in chief of the Army and Navy.” The Constitution gives Congress authority over military budgets.
Since Rimjob hasn’t checked, the last time the U.S. Congress formally declared war was in 1942 during World War II, specifically against Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. Since then, Congress has not issued any formal declarations of war.
Stop being so ignorant, dipshit.
Puupyboy an update for you if you miss this I will repost it the next time you post
About that Iranian missile that “misfired” and strict the girls school killing 125 children??? Within a time period of 90 minutes 6 missiles strict the same city precisely hitting Iranian Naval buildings. Fo you think that it was one of those launched at the same time that hit the school by mistake ?
CumBreath typed: “Since Rimjob hasn’t checked, the last time the U.S. Congress formally declared war was in 1942 during World War II”
Since CumBreath can’t read, I wrote “Congress last declared war in June 1942!”.
CumBreath is such a lonely, belligerent dipshit.
Do they not teach reading in Texas?
Just an added a clarification since I rarely feel compelled finish reading the nonsense you post.
You got me Rimjob, now go off and feel smug.
Apology accepted.
Mr trump’s BLS reported that the U.S. economy LOST 92,000 jobs in February and the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.4%. Job losses in 3 of last 5 BLS reports.
Time to re-replace the acting commissioner?
Is Mr trump’s plan for the ecoonomy to put people to work making bombs and missiles?

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY 4th District) and Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) are Republicans, but they are also two of the very few libertarians (not Libertarians) elected to Congress. Both have long opposed wars, and are definitely not neocons.
The Democrats don’t like them, either!
Under the War Powers Act of 1973, the President has sixty days to remove American military forces from areas in which hostilities reasonably may occur unless specifically authorized by Congress to stay longer. The President has an additional thirty days to do so if he certifies that the extra time is needed to pull out forces in a safe and orderly manner.
The War Powers Act was passed over President Nixon’s veto, when it hadn’t received a veto-proof margin on initial passage, because a few more Democrats, specifically including Representative Bella Abzug of New York, changed their votes as a means of increasing the pressure to impeach Mr Nixon; those additional Democrats had initially voted against the bill, claiming it gave the President expanded war powers, rather than restricting them.
The votes in the House and Senate were consistent with the law, which gave Congress the power to require an earlier exit via a concurrent resolution, something the President cannot veto. The resolutions failed in both the House and Senate, meaning that unless they try another concurrent resolution, President Trump still has to withdraw military forces within the sixty (or ninety) day window, without any further action by Congress.
I agree with this! Vizzini once said, “You fell victim to one of the classic blunders – the most famous of which is ‘never get involved in a land war in Asia’ – but only slightly less well-known is this: ‘Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line’!” It’s a good thing that the Iranian government has been shattered, but we now need to leave it up to the Persian people to set up a new one. Our military forces should go in and destroy every Iranian nuclear facility utterly, and that’s all.
More ‘Princess Bride’, less Donnie!! More Inigo, less regime change!!
Note too, those were the last words Vizzini spoke before the iocane powder took him.
Yes. U.S forces should safely withdraw from the Iran theater. It’s time to put ‘America First’. On that we can agree. Let the Eastern Hemisphere take care of themselves! We’ve already started regime change in the West (Venezuela!, Cuba?, Greenland?).
Big Donnie has a sudden fascination with United States military might. The economy, the people, justice, freedom bores him. This is especially dangerous given his desultory, random, capricious, erratic, mercurial, haphazard, ill-motivated thoughts and actions. The safety and success of the United States is NOT his prime directive. He’s in over his hair.
He starts stupid stuff, clumsily – with no clear plans, other than to dominate the narrative for a day or a week.
Release all the files. Congress: do your job and relieve the commandant in chief of duty. JD Vance is a devious prick but is not demented.
Lots of name-calling but few facts…
Typical Rimjob rant..
That’s all he and the democrats have.
Typical traitor talk.
It’s almost like they don’t care if Iran developed nuclear weapons.
The distinguished Mr Dowd wrote:
Great! We agree that we should put the United States first, which does and must include getting rid of the illegal immigrants, getting rid of those who are not Americans.
Iran? The United States depends upon Western civilization, and Israel is the easternmost outpost of the West. The entire civilized world has benefitted from the technical advances made by Israeli scientists and engineers, and the entire civilized world has benefitted from the Israelis defending the West from further expansion by the hordes of Islamic barbarism.
WWIII Watch
Remember when Covians were frightened that U.S. opposition to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine could lead to WWIII. Quaint times, eh?
Today:
Russia Helping Iran Target U.S. Forces for Strikes, Washington Post Reports

Yikes. How will the God-King respond to this pefidy from his dear friend, Vladimir Putin?
Kinda makes Lil Ol’ Donnie look like a pussy, M’kay.
Our sage from St Louis wrote:
Russia has a strategic nuclear arsenal; Iran does not. Part of the President’s actions are to insure the Persians never get one. The strongest Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is one which uses military force to keep other nations from getting atomic bombs.
The distinguished Mr Dowd roundly criticized President Trump for not getting the United States more deeply involved in the Russo-Ukrainian War, but he’s all-out opposed to our having attacked the mad mullahs and their henchmen, even though it’s an unambiguous good that these men have been sent to their 72 bacha bazi boys. Why, it’s almost as though Mr Dowd’s political positions can be summed up in one phrase: Trump Derangement Syndrome!
If Donald Trump cured cancer, Mr Dowd would combitch that he was putting some doctors and nurses out of work.
Our fascist from Fayette’s political positions can be summed up in one phrase: trump Devotion Syndrome.
Mr trump is highly unlikely to cure cancer given his gutting of cancer research. We wish him good luck.
We DID give him great credit for his Covid-19 vaccine development and distribution programs (which his most ardent and dumb supporters largely opposed!).
Then-President Trump saved over one million Americans (14 million globally!!) with Operation Warp Speed! That was during a term when he still had some wise advisors and had yet been shaped into whatever he has become today.
Repeat: Donald Trump saved over 1,000,000 Americans and some 14 million persons globally with his Operation Warp Speed. He put the energy, knowledge and resources of U.S. industry and military to combat a global pandemic!! Kudos Mr President.
But he eventually succumbed to his mob of ignorant devotees to oppose his own significant accomplishments. Pathetic. And it has led us to our dysfunction today.
Our great allies in Europe were/are threatened by Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Yes, the U.S. and Europe should do more to defend Ukraine. Yes, the U.S. invests billions yearly in Israel to protect them from Iran. Yes, trump has largely opposed NATO. No, the U.S. did NOT bomb Russia to protect Ukraine. We ARE bombing Iran to protect Israel.
Mr trump has a very peculiar relationship with Mr putin. We are unlikely to ever know why. And today it’s reported that Russia is now helping Iran target U.S. forces!!
What will Generalissimo trump do in response? Have another red carpet welcome in Alaska?
Anyway, there are dozens of “bad guys” leading nations and abusing their citizens: Iran, North Korea, China, Russia, Syria, Afghanistan, Haiti, Nicaragua, Somalia, Myanmar, Eritrea, Cuba, Yemen, Texas, Turkmenistan, Eq Guinea etc. Iran is bad but not the worst.
We invaded Iran, not for the good of the United States, but for the good of Israel and the Saudis (and other U.S.-friendly Middle East nations). We didn’t come to the rescue of attacked allies but launched an offensive against Iran.
We are not the world’s police. America First, remember?
Dana how many times has Teach posted earnings about doomy nuclear war. I don’t recall you ever being dismissive at his theatrics
He was always warning us about Biden starting WW3
