In May alone, the economy added 139,000 new jobs — which beat forecasts for the third month in a row — with every single net gain coming from the private sector.     On Sunday afternoon, a line of five Waymo cars was set on fire on Los Angeles Street between Arcadia and Alameda in downtown Los Angeles.

    How did they all get to that one spot? Somebody, or maybe many somebodies, ordered taxis, and the driverless cars simply drove themselves to the scene of the planned riot. These suspects presumably gave payment information, which the company requires, ordered the taxi to the pickup spot, which was in the middle of the street, and then set them on fire.

    The Supreme Court on Friday afternoon handed a pair of victories to the Trump administration on the so-called emergency docket. Over the objections of the court’s three Democratic appointees, the justices cleared the way for members of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency to access the records of the Social Security Administration. And the court temporarily paused an order by a federal judge in Washington, D.C., that would have required DOGE to provide information in a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act. Instead, the justices sent the dispute back to a federal appeals court with instructions for those judges to take another, more skeptical look at the order.

    the president responded, “If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that.” Pressed for details as to what that might entail, the Republican added, “I’m not going to say, but he’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that.”

    Trump had suggested that a fast way to reduce the budget was to cancel Musk’s companies’ contracts… Tesla, Starlink, SpaceX.

    The Congressional Budget Office released a report Wednesday detailing the budgetary and economic impact of President Trump’s tariffs. The top-line result: Even the Democrat-controlled CBO concedes that tariffs will reduce the deficit over the next decade.

    In CBO’s assessment, the changes in tariffs will reduce the size of the U.S. economy—in part because of tariffs imposed by other countries in response to the increases in U.S. tariffs. After accounting for that change in the size of the economy, CBO estimates that the changes in tariffs will reduce total federal deficits by $2.8 trillion.

    Shrink the economy, shrink the debt!!
