    They aren’t defending their journalistic integrity since that isn’t challenged. They are defending their “right” to taxpayer compelled funding. They could easily save the lost revenues by shutting down redundant stations. Especially since all of their content is available on line. Radio stations are no longer needed.

    And yes, Congress gets to appropriate the funds, but there is nothing requiring the Executive to actually spend that money. Just as the Executive has the power to decide how (or whether) to enforce specific laws, they also have the power to decide not to disburse monies that Congress has appropriated.

    Otherwise, we’d have been able to force Biden to enforce our border security and immigration laws. But he had the discretion on how to allocate the resources Congress gave him.
