Devils Beat Rags

And, yes, don’t expect many posts when the Devils lose (such as to the Flygirls on Friday!) However, it is still not to early to say Vezina for Marty Brodeur. Once again, he was incredible in goal, as the Rangers outshot the Devs 13-1 in the first and 13-7 in second. And with the Devils putting up more silly penalties. I hate to say it, but you have to hand it to the Rangers, who played a darn good game Saturday night. I have said many times that they could never start to get better as long as Dolan owns the team and Glen Sather coaches it. Sather is no longer coaching, Tom Renney is. 1 out of 2 ain’t bad.

But, back to the game. Jamie Langenbruner said it best: "We kept our eyes closed in the first two periods anyway," which was in response to the lights at Continental Airlines Arena being dim due to severe weather in the North Joisey area, at one time having flickered mostly off. Game On!

Except for the 3rd and OT, the Devils did not have have much Game On, but they had managed to tie it up with their one and only shot in the 1st. Mogilny scored his second of the year to tie it at 2-2 in the 3rd, then Rafalski ended it in OT.

Overall, the Devils still own the Rangers. They Devs have lost like what, 2 games in the past 28-30 to the Rangers?
