Unhinged Abortion Supporters To Protest In Churches Sunday

This should sure win over people to their side, right?

Pro-Abortion Radicals to Terrorize Churches on Mother’s Day

Pro-abortion radicals plan to terrorize Catholic churches on Mother’s Day after a Supreme Court leak revealed Roe v. Wade may be overturned.

Ruth Sent Us, a radical-left organization, has sent out a notice over social media of sadistic protests occurring at unknown church locations throughout metropolitan cities.

“Whether you’re a ‘Catholic for Choice,’ ex-Catholic, of other or no faith, recognize that six extremist Catholics set out to overturn Roe. Stand at or in a local Catholic Church Sun May 8,” the radical group tweeted on May 3.

Protests on Sunday are a part of a so-called “week of action.” Ruth Sent Us has also published the justices’ supposed home addresses online for the radical protestors to locate and therefore intimidate the justices.

“Rise up May 8-15 and beyond… At the homes of the six extremist justices, three in Virginia and three in Maryland,” its website says. “Our 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights,” the group’s website said. “We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics.” (snip)

A second group is also planning activities during the “week of action.” Beginning on May 8, radical protestors are planning to protest outside Catholic churches. The second group’s name is Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights, which is planning to wear green “Handmaid’s Tale” outfits in protest to compare pro-life laws to the rape and motherhood in Margaret Atwood’s novel.

You know this is going to go downhill very fast, particularly since these people are unhinged, crazy, wackadoodle. It may well change people’s minds the other way

CNN poll: The Supreme Court’s draft opinion on Roe v. Wade hasn’t shaken the midterm landscape

Americans remain broadly opposed to overturning the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, following the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion that would strike down the landmark ruling.

Sixty-six percent say Roe v. Wade should not be completely struck down, and 59% would support Congress passing legislation to establish a nationwide right to abortion, including 81% of Democrats, 65% of independents and 30% of Republicans, the survey finds.

But comparing the results of the new poll to one conducted immediately before the revelation of the draft opinion, the impact on the political landscape heading into the 2022 midterms appears fairly muted.

The share of registered voters who say they are extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this fall rose 6 points between the first survey and the second, but that increase is about even across party lines. Among Democrats, 43% now say they are extremely or very enthusiastic, up 7 points. Among Republicans, it’s 56%, up 9 points. And voters who say overturning Roe would make them “happy” are nearly twice as enthusiastic about voting this fall as those who say such a ruling would leave them “angry” (38% extremely enthusiastic among those happy, 20% among those angry).

So, really, this won’t fire up Democrats so much that they can avoid a legislative wipeout in November. If Democrats thought this would push a ton of people over to their side, they were wrong, and, when Independents and nominal Democrat voters see the unhinged gouhls doing their thing for unfettered abortion at all times, well, they might not decide to vote Republican, but, they won’t vote for Democrats.

Their cause would be helped immensely if they could come up with actual examples.

  2. Dana says:

They assume that this was 6-3, but I doubt that the Chief Justice was in the majority. If he was, he wouldn’t have assigned the opinion to Justice Alito, but either written it himself or assigned it to Justice Kavanaugh to tailor it as narrowly as possible.

  3. Elwood P. dOwd says:

Of course, the decision of Roe v. Wade does not sanction “unfettered abortion at all times” as described by Mx Teach, who has also implied that Democrats want to murder babies after they are born. Just winger bullshit. After all, much of what wingers belief/feel is based on lies.

Here’s an interesting article looking into the supremes reversing themselves in the past.

WASHINGTON – When the Supreme Court rules, it’s the law of the land – until it isn’t.

It is true that the high court rarely overturns past decisions. The principle of stare decisis – the adherence to earlier decisions – gives stability to the law. Another way to put it: The justices generally prefer to let the other two branches of government respond to political passions.

But as the Supreme Court itself has often said, honoring precedent is not an “inexorable command.” If a majority of justices conclude a prior case was wrongly decided, if that precedent has proven “unworkable,” if Americans haven’t come to rely on the prior decision or the facts have changed, it may go.

A 7-2 majority concluded in Roe that people have the right to an abortion during the first and second trimesters but that states could impose restrictions in the second trimester. Years later, in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, the court maintained Roe’s “central holding” of a constitutional right to abortion, but threw out the trimester framework.

Instead, the court ruled, states could ban most abortions after viability, the point at which a fetus can survive outside the womb – roughly 24 weeks.

    Some examples:

Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) –> Brown v. Board (1954) which reversed separate but equal.

Minersville v. Board (1940) –> WV Board v. Barnette (1943) which reversed forcing schoolchildren to salute the American flag.

Korematsu v. U.S. (1944) –> Endo (1944) where the SC said, “…whether the relator’s (Ms Endo) detention violated the guarantees of the Bill of Rights of the federal Constitution, and especially the guarantee of due process of law. There can be but one answer to that question. An admittedly loyal citizen has been deprived of her liberty for a period of years. Under the Constitution, she should be free to come and go as she pleases.” Thus ending FDR’s unConstitutional internment of Japanese-Americans.

Bowers v. Hardwick (1986) –> Lawrence v. Texas (2003) reversed criminalization of consensual homosexual activity.

Baker v. Nelson (1971) –> Obergefell v. Hodges (2015) requires all states to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and to recognize same-sex marriages validly performed in other jurisdictions.

Tileston v. Ullman (1943), Poe v. Ullman (1961) –> While not a reversal, Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) affirmed the right of Americans to practice birth control.

Note that in the examples the Supreme Court ruled in favor of greater freedoms for individual Americans.

What American persons derive greater freedom from reversing Roe v. Wade? (Don’t say fertilized eggs, since they are not persons according to the Constitution).

Qdowd regurgitated: “Of course, the decision of Roe v. Wade does not sanction “unfettered abortion at all times” as described by Mx Teach,”

Correct just as the overturning of RvW doesn’t sanction denial of abortion at all times, in all places and for all reasons. Glad you understand that.

By overturning the very unconstitutional law the Supreme Court ruled in favor of greater freedoms for individual Americans. Now instead of having a group of belligerents force a law left to the states by our Constitution we will all get to vote on it. Why does QdOwd hate democracy when it has to do with our Republic? Why does he and the unhinged left hate the Republic and always opt for mob rule? In 1973 when RvW was forced down Americas throat only about 30% of citizens agreed with it. That’s why they used the court to force it rather than allowing the states to handle the question. IOW, they are tyrants.

“What American persons derive greater freedom from reversing Roe v. Wade? (Don’t say fertilized eggs, since they are not persons according to the Constitution).”

ALL American persons derive greater freedom from reversing RvW because we ALL get to decide on it not just QdOwd. Maybe the Mormons in Utah don’t want abortion at all, maybe the farmers in Idaho want some legal areas for abortion and maybe the leftist mass murderers in California want any and all abortion legal even during birth (they do). Why does QdOwd have such a crazy reaction to states picking and choosing what their people want? He hates “muh democrassy). I think QdOwd will be surprisingly pleased at how many states will allow all kinds of baby killing. The last 50 years of propaganda and anti religious brainwashing has completely eradicated most morality from Americans. That is obvious just reading the shit in the papers or QdOwds comments. How else can the same people who love deviant grooming in grade schools and mass murder of the unborn fail to be able to define what a woman is, allow men to beat the shit out of women at “women’s” sports and dress an insane pervert in a dress and call him “Admiral”?

And they can’t see how they believe in all those lies but call others liars. Self awareness where art thou????

      FJB.

      • Model 870 P. dOwd says:

Lying Groooomer Brenda lies that the repeal of Roe v. Wade allows all Americans to vote on abortion! What a silly filly (or gelding).

If Americans were to hold a nationwide vote today on Roe v. Wade it would be the law of the land. The last thing Mx Brenda wants is democracy. She/he wants to control the reproductive functions of others. Period.

Can the Lying Grooomer explain her/his desire to control the reproductive functions of other women? The position seems anathema to personal liberties.

        • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Nothing you typed there is truthful or even makes sense. How about you cut the emotional girly crap and relate like a man. You can define a man can’t you?

BTW, a “nationwide” vote for RvW is just as unconstitutional as the SC decision or a codified law. Now would abortion at any age, time, place be approved enough to have a Constitutional Convention and change the document? I. DON”T. THINK. SO!

Immediately you dial it up to eleventeen don’t you you narrow minded liar. None of us here have stated we “desire to control the reproductive functions of women”.
But you want to tell people in Vermont what laws they have to have. That’s tyranny asshole.

How many babies have you aborted QdOwd? How many? Hell, you’re too old to even get a hard on let alone get a chick pregnant (assuming there’s one that would let you touch her).

Blow it put your ass QdOwd, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

FJB, Heels Up Harris and the fake Injun too.

            Brandon,
You assume that Jeff knows how to have sex. I mean, really

          • Elwood P. dOwd says:

Poor bRenda. So stupid that even porter thinks they’re smart.

The women of Vermont are Americans and have rights, including the right to their own privacy.

“People” such as you want state legislatures to determine what rights women have.

Is it your contention that a fertilized human egg in America is a person and citizen with all the rights and responsibilities of an American citizen? Or are they some subclass of human/citizen?

How will states monitor the reproductive cycles of women? If a pregnant woman claims to have “miscarried” will the police start a potential murder investigation? Will The Abortion Forces need to monitor mail deliveries, telephone records, social contacts and emails? Even now half of abortions are medication-induced, not even requiring a clinic or hospital. That number will increase when Roe v. Wade is overturned.

      • Elwood P. dOwd says:

The Lying Grooomer ignores that Supreme Court rulings are for all Americans. Half the states in America are ready and willing to ban a woman’s right to abortion.

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
As usual, your comments do not make sense. If you desire abortion, make it law.

          • Elwood P. Dowd says:

            Porter,

I do not desire an abortion.

But women who need one should be able to obtain one, without needing the permission of their rulers.

The paternalistic American right-wing desires to be in charge of reproduction. Always have, always will. They strongly support giving parental rights to rapists. They strongly support letting a woman die to save a fetus.

Women see the right for what it is.

  5. Model 870 P. Dowd says:

Ruh-roh. Are forced-birthers bothered that DonJon has not claimed credit for stacking the supremes with forced-birther reactionaries?

Hmmm, seems as if the GOP proper and DonJon have their fingers up testing the social winds before committing.

GOPhers, while maximally devious, ARE politically astute and recognize that Roe v. Wade is supported by at least 60% of Americans.

Mitch the Bitch: “Holy shit! We wanted reactionaries on the court to get the morons to vote for us, not to really change things!”

The best laid plans of GOPhers and men…

    LOL. Pop the popcorn!! https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

  6. Professor Hale says:

So, if this is such a slam dunk, then why don’t the Democrats, who control both houses of congress and the White house, just pass a law and be done with it? I suspect it is because it is too lucrative of a campaign issue for them. They NEVER want abortion to be settled law or regulated by the states, like every other medical procedure.

I am gratified to see that the Democratic party now cares about majority wishes on major issues. So they will be repealing the ACA any day now and start deporting illegal immigrants by the buss load.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

The Senate plans to vote this week. To pass it requires abandoning the filibuster where 60 votes are required. Even then, some DINOs might vote against it.

GOPhers have become quite quiet on the centerpiece of their movement, that is, banning abortion. Even their bombastic spokesman (we take as persuasive Stephanie Clifford’s description of Mr tRump’s male organ, even without the required proof of a Y chromosome) has not claimed credit for installing pro-birth justices. Their spittle soaked fingers are up assessing which way the winds are blowing. State level GOPhers are already making noises about banning contraception! Welcome to the Republic of Gilead!!
