The United Nations has warned the continued use of fossil fuels is hurtling the planet to 1.5°C of global warming, relative to 1850-1900 levels, a threshold that will result in “unprecedented” extreme weather events. According to new research, climate change will also result in coral bleaching that will be “catastrophic” for reefs, and potentially, the marine life that live around them.
Is this the same UN that held a ‘climate change’ conference in Scotland, one where so many private jets were flown that they had to deadhead (fly with no passengers) them to other airports? They supposedly were going to ferry the Elites around in EVs, yet, there are no photos of that occurring. Strange, eh?
Once the planet hits 1.5°C of warming, researchers said, just 0.2% of Earth’s thermal refugia will have enough time to recover between extreme heat events, and more than 90% of those reefs will suffer “an intolerable level of thermal stress.” At 2°C, researchers found, no thermal refugia will remain, and all coral reefs will be exposed and vulnerable.
They do realize that corals built islands when the seas were much higher and the oceans much warmer, right?
This study was published the same day that other researchers concluded that marine heat is the “new normal” for oceans.
Until the earth hits another cool period. Then we get another warm period. Then cool.
Anyhow, when the Earth doesn’t hit 1.5C in 10 years, who gets called on the carpet? Who gets sanctioned for scaremongering? Who loses their job?

Since the planet HAS warmed and cooled repeatedly for the last few billion years, claiming that THIS time it’s all due to evil human activity is the option that needs to be proved.
So far, it hasn’t been.
Stormy refuses to acknowledge that this time evidence demonstrates it is due to humans burning fossil fuels.

Funny that in the entire time you have repeated these same old claims, you have never substantiated the claim. You have never, ever provided a source for your claims except from Better Homes and Garden or Cosmopolitan. And the kicker is that the only way to save the world is destruction of our economy, not Asia. And then admit it would do little good.

Once again, I don’t require an alternative hypothesis, by asking that you prove your lack of scientific knowledge. Note that many of the 99 scientist you touted years back now have retracted. They did not provide an alternative explanation for anything.
As to developing a study, that is your problem.

Yes, it is and it’s not a scientific theory. It’s a medical fact.

Actually it’s not a fact that cigarette smoking causes cancer.
We treat it like a fact because that’s the scientific/medical consensus after evaluating decades of accumulated evidence. There is a statistical correlation between tobacco smoking and many forms of cancer including lung, bladder, head and neck, kidney, liver, esophagus etc. In addition, of the thousands of compounds in cigarette smoke, 100 or so have been demonstrated to be carcinogenic in cell and animal studies. So the evidence is pretty dang strong.
On the other hand, a life-long smoker only has a 10-15% chance of developing lung cancer! Maybe something else in a smoker’s lifestyle leads to cancer. Maybe there’s a genetic predisposition to smoke that also makes one more susceptible to cancer! What if smoking is just a marker for cancer?
Anyway, that’s the way science works. Credible evidence accumulates by observation and experimentation that at some points makes it unreasonable to not accept the theory. That’s a scientific consensus. BUT, that doesn’t mean the theory is a fact, only that it’s unlikely, but not impossible, to be rejected.
All we need is a repeatable lab experiment showing CO2 plus naturally occurring LWIR at 15um warming anything..

A huge lab experiment has been conducted for millions of years!! LWIR from the Earth has been interacting with atmospheric CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) for as long as there has been an atmosphere! Even before the industrial revolution the Earth’s average temperature was about 15C. Calculations predict that without an atmosphere the Earth’s average temperature would be -18C! Thank goodness for CO2 and H2O!! As predicted. the modern increase in atmospheric CO2 correlates with the increase in surface temperature. It would be a surprise if it didn’t warm.
Remember when you denied that the Earth was even warming – arguing instead that it was all from “data adjustments” and faked hockey sticks? What changed your mind?
