Brandon Admin To Give More Bribes, Er, Relief For Winter Heating Costs

Let’s see, how does this work. First, the Dementia Joe admin exacerbates the cost of energy increase through horrible policy and terrible talking points. Then, they promise to give more money away to help with the problem they helped make worse. Then people are more dependent on the Central Government

White House offering more aid for winter heat, utility bills

The Biden administration is taking steps to help distribute several billion dollars in aid for winter heating and utility bills, an unprecedented sum that comes largely from its $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package.

The package provided an additional $4.5 billion for the government’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which typically has funding of $3 billion to $4 billion annually. Aid for renters can also cover utility costs, while the money provided to state, local and tribal governments can help families that face high heating bills and are ineligible for other programs. (snip)

The aid helps to create a cushion that limits the shock of higher energy costs ahead of winter. Republican lawmakers have said the relief package, which became law in March, caused higher levels of inflation, with prices in October 6.2% higher than a year ago. The GOP argument is that the Biden relief package sent too much money into the economy, sending prices up and hurting middle-class and lower-income families.

Oh, you thought the aid would help you? Only if you’re already pretty much on the government dole to start with.

But in this instance, the spending from the aid package is already helping to insulate millions of households from higher utility bills and reducing strains on household budgets. Estimates by the Urban Institute based off a Census Bureau survey indicate that a third of families used the monthly payments from the expanded child tax credit to pay their utility bills between July and October 2021.

So, instead of spending it on their kids, they have to use the money to pay utility bills. Way to go, Brandon!

Electricity and natural gas prices are roughly 11% higher than a year ago, according to the Labor Department’s consumer price index. Heating oil prices have more than doubled over the past year, according to the Energy Information Administration.

So, for those of you in the middle class, Biden says “screw you, suck it up.” Because nothing he’s done or will do will help.

I read somewhere here that all Brandon had to do when he stepped into his illegal office was nothing. If he just left everything the way Trump had it he would have been great. But the radicals hate Trump so much they’d rather destroy American than allow anything of his administration to remain.

Trump had everything set up for his second term and when the Democrat insurrection/coup occurred the new (cough, cough) leader of the free world immediately went around dismantling first our energy sector, then our military, then the Covid mess, Afghanistan, the major border crisis and on and on until everything he touched morphed into a crisis. It’s really amazing how quickly he screwed up every damn thing he touched.

The good news is imbedded in their psychopathy is the inherent inability to ever admit they are wrong about anything. It stops them from correcting their errors and will enable normal thinking patriotic Americans to regain their country and toss these bigoted, haters out on their crazy asses.

We need to move forward with our country and retreating back to bigoted, racist policies and the CRT crap and the constant din of the Democrats racist rants and accusations is so 1861.

It’s like listening that filthy racist Joy-less Reid all the time. Painful.

Brandon: he stepped into his illegal office

Do you believe the nonsense you type?

We had almost started to take you seriously, now this!

Anyway, we read somewhere that all tRump had to do was die on Jan 20, 2017 and then everything would have been alright!

“president” tRump left us a pandemic, a failed coup, a recession, massive debt, advocacy of civil war and generalized hatred. Good job, donnie.

Ms Clinton only beat donnie by 3 million votes, President Biden beat donnie by 7 million votes.

We know, we know, nuCons hate the truth the way a vampire hates a cross, but if our uneducated, unreasonable, uncivil, unvaccinated brethren on the right don’t come around we may lose this great nation.

Teach: Oh, you thought the aid would help you? Only if you’re already pretty much on the government dole to start with.

Heavens forbid we do something to help the working poor. Does Teach consider being on Social Security, Medicare and Disability to be “on the government dole”?

Anyway, energy prices dropped nearly 70% during the 2nd term of President Obama.

Why? Was it Obama magic? Hardly…in fact,

The true origin of today’s energy crisis isn’t the 2020 COVID crash, but rather, the 2014 oil-price collapse.

In the first years of the last decade, China’s strong growth propelled a global commodities boom, and kept the price of oil hovering around $100 a barrel. This was a boon to energy investors in the short run. But the rally sowed the seeds of its own undoing. Forms of energy extraction that had been prohibitively expensive when oil was trading at $60 a barrel suddenly became eminently profitable. Capital poured into America’s shale industry. Thus, the supply of fossil fuel on global markets rapidly increased. At the same time, slowing global growth combined with advances in energy efficiency lowered global energy demand.

As a conventional oil producer, Saudi Aramco had a much lower break-even price than America’s shale drillers. And as a sovereign government with a foreign-currency reserve worth $750 billion, the Saudis could afford to sell energy at a loss for a lot longer than private firms in the Permian basin. Thus, by keeping the taps on and allowing global energy prices to crash, the House of Saud could reclaim the global market share that frackers had so rudely wrestled from it.

Our allies, the Saudis, decided to no longer subsidize the US fracking industry.

Because of the drop in price of natural gas, the transition from expensive coal continued. Global supply chain issues resulting from the tRump Pandemic have reduced gas supplies.

It’s understandable that the GOP would blame all this on President Biden. It would be political malpractice if they didn’t!!

Mr Teach labels helping the working poor “a bribe”, the typical response of conservatives to any help to the unwealthy.
