Surprise: World Leaders Yammer About Solving Climate Crisis (scam) While Taking Lots Of Fossil Fueled Flights

Think back to the 2007 UN IPCC Conference on the Parties, held in the exotic location of Fiji. So many people took private jets to complain about ‘climate change’ that there was nowhere to park the jets, so they had to deadhead them, ie, fly with no passengers, to other islands. Then fly them back for people to leave. Well, guess what? That even happens when they fly into New York for U.N. meetings

While world leaders are at the UN talking climate change, their private jets are often forced to fly and park hundreds of miles away

New York City in September is a hotspot for world leaders as the United Nations holds its annual General Assembly. Climate change is a key topic at this year’s conference, with leaders including President Joe Biden announcing additional investments in climate finance for developing countries.

But while leaders talk about commitments to climate change on the world stage, their government planes are burning extra jet fuel by flying empty to airports across the Northeast just to park during the event.

New York’s JFK International Airport is the preferred gateway to the UN for many visiting countries due to its proximity to Manhattan. A long-standing rule of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, however, restricts those aircraft from staying at JFK while their passengers head to the UN.

Foreign military and state aircraft are barred from staying at Port Authority airports overnight due to traffic and space constraints, a spokesperson confirmed to Insider. After they’ve landed at a Port airport, those aircraft have two hours to depart for another airport where they’ll park while in the US.

Good on Business Insider in exposing this, which happens at ever ‘climate change’ big wig event, which can now include standard U.N. meetings since they yammer about climate doom. Some will say “well, how will these world leaders get there?” They could fly commercial. They could “plane pool”, essentially picking up other world leaders. They could take a ship. Sure, it’s slower, but, lower carbon footprint, right? These same people want to restrict the peons from flying, and skyrocket the cost of flying making it harder for the non-rich/important to fly. Yet, they casually jet off themselves

The COVID-19 pandemic gave New York skies a reprieve as the General Assembly went virtual in 2020. But despite fears of the Delta variant, this year’s in-person session pressed on and foreign leaders were ready to adopt “have plane, will travel.”

Many of those planes were jumbo jets, such as the one that brought Boris Johnson, and “a Boeing Business Jet 747-8i of the Turkish government, Airbus A319 of the Italian government, and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, among many others.”

They do know they can Zoom the meetings, or do some sort of virtual one, right? Oh, right, they want to press the flesh, eat well, and show how Important they are, repeat the rewards of their position. And stop you from doing the same.

Making Meals From Mealworms Is ‘Part of the Answer’ to the Climate Crisis, the CEO of Ynsect Says

Global food production accounts for one-third of all greenhouse-gas emissions, according to a comprehensive study published this year in the journal Nature Food that looked at every aspect of food production from transportation to packaging. Meat production alone makes up nearly 60% of that total.

The study underscores the growing consensus that in order to stave off the worst impacts of climate change, the world needs a dramatic rethinking of how food is produced and consumed. Especially since the U.N. estimates that food production will have to increase by 70% by 2050 to feed the world’s growing population.

They always have this food doom, yet, records keep being set. Such as with grain harvests and seafood.

Increasingly, companies and scientists are viewing insects as an environmentally sustainable alternative source of protein. Crickets, grasshoppers and beetles are already commercially produced and processed for human and animal consumption. Ynsect, a 10-year-old French company, is focused on mealworms, the larval stage of beetles.

Nope. Piss off.

Teach you bare already eating once eaten meal worms
And ??? Have you joined the pledge to stop selling commie Chinese products?

I participated in a videoconference in 1999; That was last century!

But the Patricians can’t be denied the trips for their mistresses and themselves, to Fiji, to Davos, to New York City; such restrictions on travel and fuel consumption are for the ruled plebeians, not for Our Betters.

Does the intellectual Mr Dowd or the Hirsute One wonder why so many people give the stink eye to the warnings of the warmunists? It’s because the people telling us how we must live our lives are showing us, with their deeds, that they don’t believe their own words.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Does Mr Dana always base his intellectual positions on what other people do?

Regardless of what handfuls of “Patricians” do, how does HE interpret the data on global warming?

We all know that Mr Dana is not seriously using the actions of others to rule his own life. He’s employing a tactic, cynically.

We’re always impressed when right-wingers employ the Rules for Radicals.

Alinsky Rule #4: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.

Using this tool is especially effective, Saul Alinsky says, because no one can always live up to their own set of rules.

If you are a small-government conservative how can you justify accepting Social Security and Medicare??? As a liberty-loving libertarian how can you tolerate stop signs, speed limits, tax confiscation etc etc and so forth? Pure Alinsky! Pure propaganda! And not relevant to discussions of policy!

How can a conservative Christian not live by the Ten Commandments? Very few do. Is it any wonder Americans are deserting organized Christianity? Perhaps if EVERY conservative Christian lived by their own rules more Americans would return to Christianity. It’s because the people telling us how we must live our lives are showing us, with their deeds, that they don’t believe their own words.

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

      You shall not murder.
      You shall not commit adultery.
      You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

A communist bitching about the “rules” of Christianity. You make us laugh. And I notice you use the term “conservative Christianity” like the religion was some sort of political party. All Christians conservative or liberal and NON Christians are subject to the same rules and nobody lives up to them.

The problem is Elwood, if Christians lived up to the Ten Commandments the world would be a much better place but sadly the NON Christians do live up to their ideals: murder, kill babies, enslave people, force their desires on the public while exempting themselves and mostly just lie and deceive their brains out.

So while we find it impossible to live up to our ideals and therefore accept Jesus Christ to save us, you live up to the very expectations one would assume for fukin Nazi’s.

We all know that Mr Dana is not seriously using the actions of others to rule his own life. He’s employing a tactic, cynically.

I do look at the actions of others who want to tell me how to live my own life, to see if they seriously believe what they say they believe. I’m sure that you’ve heard the old saw, ‘actions speak more loudly than words.’

I have, of course, already told you my solution to global warming climate change emergency: if it comes, deal with it as it comes. Don’t base punitive economic actions on projections, which may or may not come to pass, of conditions eighty years from now. Rather, deal with established facts on the ground as they occur, at which time we will have much more accurate information and real knowledge about what we need to do, if anything.

Remember: it wasn’t that long ago that some scientists were projecting that we would soon enter into another ice age!

As a small government conservative, I can very easily justify accepting Social Security and Medicare, because I was taxed for fifty years to pay for them. This was not a ‘bargain’ that I willingly accepted, but one which was forced upon me by the police power of the state; go along, or go to jail.

Who knows, I might reap multiple times the ‘benefits’ that I was forced to pay in taxes, or I could drop dead before collecting another penny; my mother did, dying at age 63. That’s the ‘bargain’ forced upon us, and if I had a billion dollars in the bank, I would still take every last penny of those ‘benefits.’

Road laws? As a small government conservative, I do believe in some common government services, police, fire, schools, border security, and roads. And it only makes sense to obey stop signs, because we all know that other people have expectations that others will, and to just ignore them is to invite being broadsided by someone else. Of course, I view speed limits as more of speed suggestions, as do what appears to be the rest of the motoring public; driving at the purported speed limit is an invitation to have the guy coming up behind you to run slam over the top of you! That’s an expectation, too.

Now that is a very accurate statement: far, far, far too many (purported) Christians only rarely, if ever, darken the doors of a church. Am I the only one here who actually went to church this morning? I can’t know, of course, but can only tell you what I have done: since Reichsstatthalter Andy Beshear (NSDAP-KY) so graciously allowed us to return to church, on May 24, 2020, I have missed Sunday Mass only twice, once when we were out of town, and once when I was out of hearing aid batteries, and couldn’t have heard anything of the service.

I’ll turn it around on you: how can those of us who visit this piratical site believe your words, since, despite having been challenged by me, and by others, to tell us what you, personally, have done to reduce your ‘carbon footprint,’ to reduce your consumption of fossil fuels, you have, at least as far as I have seen, declined to tell us what it is you have done, what sacrifices you have made.

I’m not one of the global warming climate change alarmists, but I have told you the few things I have done in that regard.

You have told us that you are very well-to-do, and that you believe that taxes on the top producers should be raised, but if you have voluntarily paid in more to the Infernal Revenue Service, if you have voluntarily paid more in taxes, you haven’t told us of that.

Tell us more, Mr Dowd, tell us and show us what you, personally, have done, so we may know that the neighbor of Mark and Patricia McCloskey has sacrificed.

  3. Conservative Beaner says:

The “do as I say not as I do” crowd want you to sacrifice while they party on is usually harmless so they are hypocrites.

When politicians want you to conserve while they party on and can and will pass laws to restrict your life it becomes tyranny.

    • Kye says:

Agreed Conservative Beaner. I’m not sayin’ they’re intentionally trying to shut down small businesses, destroy the middle class, transfer the majority of all wealth to the world’s largest corporations, divide us with Fear and Hatred, and take away our Constitutional Rights and God Given Liberties.

But if they were what would they be doing differently?
