World’s top 3 Christian leaders call for ‘meaningful sacrifices’ to combat climate change
The leaders of the three largest Christian churches issued a joint statement Tuesday calling on the world to address the growing threat of climate change.
The first-ever joint address by Pope Francis, the archbishop of Canterbury and the spiritual leader of the Orthodox Church asked fellow Christians to pray in the run-up to November’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, that world leaders will reach significant agreements to curb greenhouse gas emissions and slow the rate of global warming.
We’re supposed to pray for Government to take away our God given freedoms? My first inclination is to tell them to F off, but, no, I’ll pray that they get a clue and stop trying to force Progressive (nice Fascism) beliefs on everyone, to focus on their jobs, which is to discuss the word of the Lord, rather than the ravings of a doomsday cult. They need to pick which one they want to follow.
“We call on everyone, whatever their belief or world view, to endeavor to listen to the cry of the earth and of people who are poor, examining their behavior and pledging meaningful sacrifices for the sake of the earth which God has given us,†said Francis, Archbishop Justin Welby of the Anglican Communion and Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I.
And what are those meaningful sacrifices? Their joint statement doesn’t really say. There’s a lot of far left social justice, a lot of climate cult doctrine attempting to use a few passages from the New Testament to support this, yammering about “people-centered profits”, ie, giving profits to people who didn’t earn them. Can you guess what’s missing? What are these three Christian leaders sacrificing? The Vatican holds billions in money and treasure and art. How much are they giving to the poor? When is the Vatican tearing down it’s walls? When will the Pope stop using fossil fuels for travel, and restricting all employees of the church from doing so? Same thing for Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
Focus on the teachings of Jesus, rather than joining the climate cult.

Yes the tithing should be giving to the State and Climate change instead of the church. I am all for firing every pastor across the united states for one over arching reason.

That’s what church’s do now. They pay people to pray for us, work for us, witness for us, do good deeds for us while we basically (And by We I mean collectively as Christians) do very little, giving a tithe to sooth our conscience.
Lets see how those church embrace Global warming if we take out tithe and give it to the STATE.
Just tell the church leaders that the economy would tank and that would reduce or eliminate the ability of people to give to the church. That would end their passion for the climate.
Evangelical preachers are part of the nuGOP/nuCon/evangelical cult and they’re universally against such things as science, so they’ll always be in your corner. Joel Osteen, Franklin Graham, Joyce Meyer, the disgraced Jerry Falwell Jr, Kenneth Copeland, Richard Land, Chuck Colson, James Dobson etc. But some wavering evangelical leaders like Rick Warren and other CINOs (Christians in Name Only).

There is no “science” in the climate hoax, otherwise you would have presented it and the solution would not be world communism.
Teach is a wonder at creating a straw man argument, then beating it to death
Teach at this time MOST environmentalists do not advocate the immediate stop of all fossil fuels
But
They do advocate the change to renewables
And of course buying carbon offsets for fossil fuel flights only would add 2 or3 percent to the cost of a ticket
But rational people, NOT environmentalists, see the switch to renewables causing blackouts like Texas had. Renewables are fine expensive substitutes for people who are wealthy elites, but will never provide sufficient base power. Nukes are the only thing that stands a chance of doing that. And things like carbon offsets are just a scam for the gullible to make themselves feel virtuous and have no real technical or economic value in terms of providing cheap efficient power.
This is actually a good thing: by stressing sacrifice, they are pointing out just what people will have to sacrifice. Comrades Biden and Dowd all want us to think that their ideas will lead us all into an era of prosperity for everybody, that nothing, at least nothing of value, will have to be given up, because they simply aren’t telling the truth.
It’s like the Hirsute One’s telling us that just 100 square miles of solar panels would power the whole country; it just ain’t true!
