Teach should know that the amount of CO2 in beer is only a miniscule amount of its total carbon footprint. Farming, brewing, storing and the transportation of beer uses a great deal of energy. How much of that energy production is from fossil fuels is the issue. The fermentation of carbohydrate by yeast yields alcohol and CO2 but recall that the carbohydrate comes from barley, wheat or rice, so CO2 is being released from plants that recently absorbed CO2 from the atmosphere. They do not ferment fossil fuels trapped millions of years underground.

So, now the esteemed Mr Dana, who is becoming increasingly detached from reality (a pandemic sweeping through the right), misinterprets a recitation of facts about beer production and consumption as a condemnation of beer. No, sir! Beer is good.
N.B. – Fossil fuel burning is the culprit, not beer, cattle, cars, A/C or computers. Burning fossil fuels to generate energy emits gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere which is causing the Earth to warm at an accelerating pace. Contrary to recent comments, a “warming” Sun is NOT causing the Earth’s increasing temperature.

Yes, at an accelerating pace. The Earth has warmed nearly twice as fast in the past half-century than in the century before.
You arguments, such as they are, would be more persuasive if you backed them with evidence.

Kudos to Walker who devised a method to to take smaller and smaller bits of temperature data, plotting monthly changes (statistical noise!) to show lack of significance! He measures the noise in global warming to show it stays reasonably static! Yet, actual data shows that it’s warming more rapidly in the last 50 years than the previous 50. That’s what acceleration is. dv/dt = rate of change of velocity.
