For Her Final Act, Tulsi Gabbard Is Promoting A Bill That Threatens Trans Women In Sports
While she might be ending her final term in Congress in just several short weeks, former presidential candidate and Representative Tulsi Gabbard partnered up with Representative Markwayne Mullin to introduce a new bill before she says goodbye — and it has a deeply transphobic twist. H.R. 8932, entitled the Protect Women’s Sports Act, seeks to limit women’s collegiate sports programs to only people assigned female at birth. “Title IX was designed to give women and girls an equal chance to succeed, including in sports. Allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports diminishes that equality and takes away from the original intent of Title IX,†Gabbard said in a statement.
But this is only the latest attempt to prevent transgender athletes from competing in sports according to their true gender as opposed to their gender assigned at birth — or what Gabbard has referred to as “biological sex.†In September, Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler paired up with Tom Cotton and several other senators to propose another transphobic bill, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. That bill similarly aimed to make it a violation of Title IX protections for any educational institution that receives federal funds to allow transgender women to participate in women’s sports.
Good for Tulsi. Why should actual, real women have to compete against biological men in their sports, so often losing to the “trans women”, which has a real world implication of losing scholarships and wins which they would have earned? They shouldn’t have to
Additionally, a law that bans trans athletes from participating in school sports also passed in Idaho. However, a preliminary injunction was granted to stop the bill from doing irreversible harm. In June, the Supreme Court also decided that under the Civil Rights Act, discrimination on the basis of gender identity is classified alongside sex discrimination.
Akin to Loeffler’s bill, Gabbard’s new bill introduced would also make it a violation for schools that receive federal funding to “permit a person whose biological sex at birth is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.†If it were to become law, it would make it impossible for trans women to play women’s sports. So far, advocates have come out in droves to denounce the harm that the Protect Women’s Sports Act could do. “Dare I say that women’s sports may benefit from actual protection like resources, equal pay, training, support. Stop weaponizing your fear of transness to hurt all women,â€Â said Chase Strangio, an ACLU lawyer and trans advocate.
Gotta love how the activists say that protecting “trans women” so they can beat real women in competitions is somehow protecting real women.
What is perhaps just as alarming is the fact that Gabbard may be the only (technical) Democrat to promote anti-trans legislation like this.

The credentialed media are, of course, going right along with this stupidity, referring to Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Health Richard Levine as ‘Rachel,’ and uncritically using the feminine pronouns to refer to him. The Philadelphia Inquirer no longer even mentions that he is ‘transgender,’ but simply goes along with Dr Levine’s delusions like they are perfectly normal.
Every bird, every reptile, and ever mammal has the ability to recognize the sexes of its own species; only human liberals have become so stupid that they have lost this ability.
My problem with Dr. Levine is her support for the cheating New England Patriots.

The problem with Richard Levine isn’t his mental illness; that’s his problem. The problem is that the left are trying to normalize his delusions, something in which you engaged by using the inaccurate pronoun to refer to him. If someone wants to try to change his sex, as far as I am concerned, that’s his business . . . as long as he pays for it himself. I will very much object to trying to force the government, meaning my tax dollars, to pay for that wholly elective procedure, and I very much object to the government trying to compel other people to accept the delusions of the ‘transgendered.’ New York City actually has regulations in place, complete with huge fines, on businesses if their employees ‘misgender’ or ‘dead name’ a ‘transgender’ person. The city is essentially telling businesses that they must lieor be fined.

In a comment in which I criticized New York City for having a regulation which would fine businesses up to $250,000 if their employees ‘misgender’ someone, Mr Dowd chose to ‘misgender’ me, I shall assume because he thought it would somehow anger me. A clue for him: a boy growing up with a name more commonly associated with girls quickly grows a thick skin where such things are concerned.
But there is a difference: in referring to the Secretary of Health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as male, I wrote the truth, while Mr Dowd deliberately lied. But, what can I say: leftists do that.

But, you see, there is a difference between being “brought up to refer to people how they preferred,” and deliberately lying, and referring to people by anything other than their natural, biological sex is lying. The solution is so simple it is literally staring everybody in the face. Question when girls wanted to start competing in sports what did the powers that be do? They created girls/women’s sports. Instead of competing against boys/men they competed against other girls/women. So if trans want to compete they MUST compete against other trans not biological females . Problem solved. Do that and watch the number of Male to female trans competing in sports rapidly decline. If you have 2 X chromosomes you are a FEMALE if you have an X and a Y chromosome you are a MALE. Neither adding or cutting off body parts changes that.
I find it amusing anyone making a legal claim that being denied sports opportunities “harms them”. Fat, slow, clumsy, weak and short kids will be fascintated to learn this. The only fair outcome is to allow every kid a chance to play on whatever team he/she wants and to all get sports scholarships regardless of ability. Why do only the exreme ends of the spectrum merit advocates?

Regarding m to f transgendered in open sports, in general I’m against it, but I recognize it’s an issue of civil rights vs fairness that will have to be resolved. Conservatives find the transgendered disgusting, just as they find most LGBT people disgusting.
It’s estimated that 0.58% of the US adult population, or some 1.5 million Americans, are transgendered. We know, we know, Kye doesn’t know any transgendered Americans so they don’t exist.
