U.N. warns 2021 shaping up to be a humanitarian catastrophe
Next year is shaping up to be a humanitarian catastrophe and rich countries must not trample poor countries in a “stampede for vaccines” to combat the coronavirus pandemic, top U.N. officials told the 193-member U.N. General Assembly on Friday.
World Food Programme (WFP) chief David Beasley and World Health Organization (WHO) head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke during a special meeting on COVID-19, which emerged in China late last year and has so far infected 65 million globally.
The pandemic, measures taken by countries to try to stop its spread and the economic impact have fueled a 40% increase in the number of people needing humanitarian help, the United Nations said earlier this week. It has appealed for $35 billion in aid funding.
“2021 is literally going to be catastrophic based on what we’re seeing at this stage of the game,” said Beasley, adding that for a dozen countries, famine is “knocking on the door.”
He said 2021 was likely to be “the worst humanitarian crisis year since the beginning of the United Nations” 75 years ago and “we’re not going to be able to fund everything … so we have to prioritize, as I say, the icebergs in front of the Titanic.”
Well, there are lots of things they can set aside in 2021. They can get rid of their climate change scam funding. All those climate change conferences. They could spend a lot less on needless travel and bureaucrats. Perhaps stop giving so much money that ends up in the pockets of dictators and governments rather than helping citizens. The UN Peacekeepers program is a disaster, what with all the rapes and property theft.
U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and his top officials have also called for COVID-19 vaccines to be made available to all and for rich countries to help developing countries combat and recover from the pandemic.
Tedros appealed for an immediate injection of $4.3 billion into a world vaccine-sharing program.
“We simply cannot accept a world in which the poor and marginalized are trampled by the rich and powerful in the stampede for vaccines,” Tedros told the General Assembly. “This is a global crisis and the solutions must be shared equitably as global public goods.”
That’s nice and all, but, America should worry about Americans being vaccinated first. Germany should worry about Germans. India should worry about Indians, etc and so on. If the U.N. wants some extra cash, why not hit up their buddies in China, whom they helped hide the outbreak of COVID19 and are still helping hide what’s actually going on in China. Otherwise, they have no power to dictate anything.

This is a world in which the nations of the world are incapable of taking care of themselves because they are so absorbed in micro managing their little children inside their borders they cannot pay their bills and defend themselves from predators.
So they are willing to let the UN do this for them. An agency so fraught with corruption as to Put the worlds biggest violators of human rights on the human rights oversight board.
The UN has no power, and even worse is the most horrendously operated organization in the world. It serves very little function other than to appear to give weak countries a voice in a very large world. But it only appears that way.
Even their peacekeeping missions are so fraught with oversight that the ground forces are paralyzed into inaction by bureaucracy.
Trusting the UN to distribute Vaccines would be the most horrendous mistake ever made. These people would just give their doses to CHINA and IRAN and the rest of the needy people of the world would die. China will take the does and reverse engineer a shitty version of it and put out 3 billion doses which will keep the virus spreading throughout the world for years.
It’s going to take a really long time to vaccinate 7.5 billion people and putting the broken and wrought with FRAUD UN in charge of the vaccine is tantamount to world wide genocide. The UN should be disbanded not given the most important role in the history of its existence.

At least in the Bluegrass State, Reichsstatthalter Andy Beshear (NSDAP-KY) wants teachers to get the vaccine next, but he’s closed down the schools to in-person learning, so I’m not sure what good that would do, since the students wouldn’t be protected. And Kentucky has the dubious honor of having the largest percentage of children being reared by their grandparents rather than their parents.
The multinational drug companies developing the vaccines are making all sorts of business deals with nations for distributing the products. The US government has contract with Pfizer to buy and certain number of doses for a set amount of vaccine. The government does not own or control what Pfizer does beyond that. Moderna accepted up-front cash from BARDA so their obligations may be more stringent. Russia is using their own vaccines. UK/Swedish co AstraZeneca is distributing to US and Europe.

What a shame that the U.N. didn’t invest a trillion dollars into vaccine development. Guess how many countries did that. The answer is one. Only one country put in the effort. Everyone else just waited to get the benefit from it. And a hypothetical Joe Biden as president would absolutely share limited vaccines with the rest of the world, not caring how many Americans died for lack of a vaccine access. And it was Chinese scientists who first published the DNA sequence of the virus allowing Pfizer/BioNTech (Germany) and Monderna to warpspeed their mRNA vaccine programs. Germany funded the BioNTech research. Oxford U (UK) and AstraZeneca (UK/Sweden) are conducting a Phase 3 trial with an adenovirus vaccine and have plans for US and EU distribution.
Pfizer/BioNTech (Germany) has agreements to distribute the vaccines globally.
So no, the vaccines are not just an American endeavor.
