Our president had to be going crazy over a problem that involves both declining stock prices and germs. This is the guy, after all, who thinks shaking hands is “barbaric,†who is followed around by aides bearing sanitizer. During his press conference he told the story of a fever-ridden supporter who gave him a hug. Do you think it was an apocryphal fantasy? Either way, the idea has been haunting him forever.

This Coronavirus will likely be just like the Swine flu panic, the bird flu panic and every other flu panic over the last, well, forever.
While the potential is there for this to turn into something major, all indications show that it is unlikely. This is an election year and since Russia,Russia, Russia failed, impeachment failed and the Dems have noting but losing prospects back biting to get the nomination, they HAVE to create panic over this, blame Trump and get all the help they can from their MSM pals.
Trump is handling this exactly as he should and that infuriates them even more.

Perhaps a dose of reality is in order. In my classes I have noticed the virus has taken on a political tone that is scary to say the least. The same thing happened in the early 80’s when HIV began popping up around the world. Fear. SARS and MEV was a blip on the radar, because it was not very infectious. Deadly to be sure but not very infectious. HIV was a horror show because if you had sex you could get it. If someone in the same town as you had HIV you could be infected. None of that was true but the whole story, but truth died when the people panicked.
What one has to remember is that the truth is the first casualty in war. A tired saying but true never the less. In this case it does not matter where the truth lies, it only matters in how the governments are perceived in dealing with this truth.
Today the right does not trust the government except when it comes to dealing with the virus because it affects them politically. The left does not trust the government because Trump is in charge and of course we know their feelings for him.
In this case I would like to point out a few facts.
Panic is gripping the world. It does not matter if it is rational or not. It is happening.
Entire countries are locking down their means of production. This will inevitably lead to shortages of food, medicine and raw materials which will end up causing the loss of jobs, wages and property. No amount of the government claiming it is okay will help when people worldwide tend not to trust their own governments any more than the United States trusts theirs.
This virus is much more likely to spread and faster. When confronted with a healthy healthcare infrastructure the chances of dying are slim.
The problem is in trusting the infrastructure to not be overwhelmed. This is appearing not to be the case. One has only to look at China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran and others to see that this will swamp a country very quickly.
And finally I would say once again it does not matter where the truth lies. In the end it only matters in the repercussions of human activity when faced with the uncertainty. We are a nation who does not trust our own government on either side of the political spectrum and use it to arm us to fight each other.
Why I have concerns is one fold. The CDC could not even provide adequate test kits when asked to do so. The ones they provided were flawed and as a result the United States weather on purpose or by incompetence has only tested 400 plus people nation wide. We are now learning bits and pieces of information about people locked down, California claiming they have 33 cases not reported by the government.
The lack of transparency because of fears of a meltdown economically are understandable but they only lead to more panic.
COVID-19 is relatively easy to treat. A simple blood pressure medicine is showing promising signs. Losartan. The virus tries to constrict the vessels in the body and shut down the flow of oxygen. Losartan simply coats the receptors and prevents COVID-19 from attaching and creating panic in the body. RNA vaccines show extreme promise in that they are injected into the body and order your immune system to confound and confuse the COVID-19 without actually injecting you with something that could be detrimental in the long run.
So.
Relax people. We will get through this. Just like no one gives much attention to HIV anymore other than to think a bit more carefully about their sexual habits.
