Doomsaying Models Claim Up To 9 Degrees Increase

There’s always some sort of doom coming from the Cult of Climastrology, so, it’s no wonder their flock are unhinged, anxiety ridden messes

A few climate models are now predicting an unprecedented and alarming spike in temperatures — perhaps as much as 5 degrees Celsius

Several recent climate models have suggested the Earth’s climate could warm to a far higher temperature than scientists previously predicted, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The startling anomaly first appeared in models from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), which suggested that if Earth’s atmospheric carbon-dioxide concentration doubles (as it’s expected to do by the end of the century), the planet could wind up 5.3 degrees hotter. That’s 33% higher than the group’s previous estimate.

About a fifth of new climate-model results published in the past year have indicated similarly stark global temperature spikes, according to Bloomberg. The UK-based Met Office Hadley Center predicted a 5.5 degrees of warming, the US Department of Energy calculated a 5.3°-degree jump, French scientists estimated a 4.9-degree increase, and a model from Canadian scientists predicted the largest rise: 5.6 degrees

Five degrees Celsius is nine degrees Fahrenheit. We’ve had a minimal 1.5F since 1850.

If global temperatures rise by 2 degrees, models predict, sea levels would get 1.6 feet higher, global heatwaves would become far more common, and subtropical areas could lose a third of their supply of fresh water. Nearly all aquatic life in oceans worldwide would be impacted; 99% of coral reefs could die.

They do understand that coral reefs developed when seas were much higher and the water and air temps were higher, as well, right? This line from the Bloomberg article is great

It takes climate modelers, who run hugely complex calculations on supercomputers, more than a biblical six days to create their virtual worlds.

Nope, not a cult, not a cult at all.

Let’s hope they’re wrong! 2C will be bad enough.

The DC (Denier Cult) keeps claiming that a 1.5C increase in miniscule or minimal. No. Bad Denier Cult!

If your body temp goes up 1.5C it’s not miniscule. And although on a summer’s afternoon in the Ol’ Confederacy you’d be hard put to differentiate between 37C and 38.5C, that’s not what the mean global surface temperature references. It refers to the mean (average) over the entire Earth’s surface over a period of time. And 1.5C for the entire globe’s average is not minimal.

    • Jl says:

‘2C will be bad enough..”. Of course, there’s no proof for that.

      • Kye says:

There’s no proof for any of it and quite frankly based on their previous prediction failures of 100% I see no reason to take them seriously now.

        Trump 2020 Keep America Great

  2. Well, that sucks. Good thing air conditioning has already been invented. I expect to save enough on Winter heating to easily pay for it and even save money. Is there nothing Donald Trump can’t do? Saves us money on Winter heating!!

  3. Professor Hale says:

In other news, real scientists have announced that the Sun is going into a 30 year cool down period. This is part of a normal cycle that has already been observed. Expect temperatures everywhere on Earth to decline. Maybe we all need to increase our carbon footprints to stave off this disaster.

    • Kye says:

Does that mean Al Gore will now start selling Carbon Debits?

    • Zachriel says:

Professor Hale: In other news, real scientists have announced that the Sun is going into a 30 year cool down period.

You didn’t provide a citation to “real scientists”. There are a number of pseudo-scientific claims going around, so it’s hard to know to which you are referring. In any case, there is no consensus concerning a period of solar cooling. Even then, the predicted cooling is of insufficient magnitude to significantly slow anthropogenic global warming, after which solar radiation and global warming will return to trend.

      • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

You didn’t provide a citation… for your claim, kiddiez.

        Z,
You are back, must be playtime. Since you have bought the climate change myth, tell us how taxes change the climate, I really do not understand that concept. Also, why is it necessary to destroy the US economy when little is done to China and India who are the major polluters.

        • Kye says:

Because a 97% consensus of scientists say America must go.

        • Zachriel says:

david7134: Since you have bought the climate change myth, tell us how taxes change the climate, I really do not understand that concept.

Taxing carbon emissions will tend to encourage consumers and businesses to reduce their carbon emissions.

david7134: Also, why is it necessary to destroy the US economy when little is done to China and India who are the major polluters.

“Destroying” the economy would be counterproductive. Developed countries have lower emissions per unit of GDP. Furthermore, continued economic growth is essential to spur necessary technological and engineering innovation.

China and India are beginning to address their own emissions, but they have huge populations and are still developing.

      • Why would I bother with a citation when you already have no intention of accepting the information? If you are curious, use your own Google.

        • Zachriel says:

Professor Hale: Why would I bother with a citation when you already have no intention of accepting the information?

We would certainly consider the information. In any case, you might do so for the benefit of our readers.

In short the Grand Solar Minimum is the end of the Solar cycle identified as 27 cycles of 11+ years for each cycle. The last time we had a solar minimum was during the maunder minimum in which the river Thames froze over.

Right now the earth is ending sunspot cycle 27 and the sunspots have been almost non existent. Sunspots provide heat as I am sure you know.

Winston St. John: It is called the Grand Solar Minimum Zachriel

A Maunder Minimum event would probably cause a cooling of about -0.3°C. Anthropogenic global warming is expected to be about 2-4°C, so the cooling would not be sufficient to forestall global warming. In addition, once the event had ended, the global mean temperature would revert to trend.

GRAND SOLAR MINIMUM IS UPON US and might last 50 years, bringing about a serious crimp to your 1000 degree warming.

But NO!!!! NOT ONLY NO BUT hello NO.

So Zach I asked your better half Elwood what is the lefts/AGW’s proposal to fix our climate in the next 10 years and he gave me nothing.

        What do you propose?

        • Zachriel says:

Chumpchange: Nor do you provide any citations to real scientists who dismiss something you dont seem to even know what it is?

Well, that’s rather the point. If we don’t know the exact claim, it’s difficult to make an exact rebuttal.

Chumpchange: GRAND SOLAR MINIMUM IS UPON US and might last 50 years, bringing about a serious crimp to your 1000 degree warming.

    Doomsday is here:

China the last couple days has revealed almost no new cases of Coronavirus. Trying to calm the fears.

    Why?

The extended New Years ended and with it, all of the people are being ordered back to WORK! They no longer get to ride this out hiding relatively safely in their houses but rather have to rub shoulders with millions and when that happens.

    The infestation will EXPLODE.

Everyone has been all praising China for locking down their citizens when in fact almost everyone goes on a two week vacation anyway at this time of the year. They just extended it but now its back to work in the middle of a raging Epidemic.

The end is nye. Bring out your dead.

  5. Chumpchange says:

Latest on the nCoV now being dubbed the Wuhan Flu or Kung Flu.

It appears the time from contact until symptoms appear might now be 24 days instead of 14 days.

The one ship is a raging epidemic and I hope the military in Japan is prepared for 3000 sick people to storm off the boat. It is egregious they are keeping them on this ship instead of guaranteeing them. (They all breathe the same air through a central air system and in quarantine they would not) The cases have skyrocketed to over 100 now on board this ship which means probably 90 percent will catch the virus and each time a new case is diagnosed…..the quarantine time is reset.

More and more discussion of this as a military weapon is occurring due to some really bizarre attributes of the disease. Spread with no symptoms, now a 24 day incubation period. ACE2 is what is targeted by hypertension drugs.

A recent paper by China indicates that Children and healthy adults are not nearly at risk as once presumed. In fact, it hardly affects children. Again not peer-reviewed work.

Bacteriophages might be the answer to killing what ultimately kills half the people, which is an antibiotic-resistant infection of the cell linings of the lungs. These killing machines are what kills most of the bacteria in the world. They can be cultured and have been used to kill almost instantly penicillian resistant infections. But somehow the drug companies dont want to invest in them.

Know why? Because Each Bacteriophage is a different concept and hence they cannot patent it and charge a bazillion dollars so they are ignoring it. Yet within certain prestigious colleges in the USA the work with these amazing critters has proven a smashing success. But drug companies won’t touch them because they can’t patent them.

Japan claims it is too difficult to test 3000 passengers on a ship. If this is so, it implies the lack of medical means to deal with 3000 people in a confined area. What does that mean for the world?

Did you know that 90 percent of all medicine is made in China and India and that India Relies on China to provide 80 percent of the raw materials to make their medicines?

We are facing a serious medicine shortage. I can’t even believe that the US is allowing its citizens to be treated by China. Literally, our worst enemy is filling Americans with god knows what when it comes to drugs. People wonder about the epidemic of ADHD and vaccinations. Well, guess where all our shit comes from? CHINA.

China literally could drop the US to its knees and yet here we get cheap ass drugs from China and charge egregious amounts for them to citizens when in other countries they pay a fraction. The USA is bankrolling the world when it comes to drugs.

The Kung Flu appears to love ex-smokers. The ACE2 seems totally attracted to ex- or current smokers, in addition, it loves inflammatory diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure.

A study by China itself concluded that 95 percent of all cases are nothing but the sniffles. Of the 5 percent, they require hospital confinement. Of those confined Roughly 45 percent end up in ICU and the rest on the floor. Most of the deaths occur in ICU giving this thing a substantial mortality rate IF you are forced into the hospital with your bout of Kung Flu.

The reason for the faulty numbers is that many, many, many people develop only mild symptoms and do not ever get tested or go to the hospital. As a result, the mortality rate for this Kung Flu appears to be around 1 percent. Comparable to the Spanish Flu. However, if you have a billion people infected in the next year you are still looking at the potential of 10 million deaths.

Satellite pictures show massive amounts of heat plume over Wuhan. This could be from the round the clock cremation of dead bodies. Recently once it was discovered this was happening the Government ordered trucks to sweep through the cities pouring out some form of chemical which is claimed to be a disinfectant. Perhaps they are trying to hide their pluming signals from spy satellites or they are trying to convince their people to go back to work when the outbreak is far from contained.

William Teach: Nope, not a cult, not a cult at all.

While scientists certainly could be wrong about the degree of warming, projected to be 2-4°C per doubling of CO2, handwaving is not much of an argument against scientific findings.

    • Chumpchange says:

      YOU call these outliers.

      I call them FEAR MONGERING!!

Why even publish a paper like this if it is so far out there? Oh I know what you will say but then when someone publishes something that is contrarian to the AGW position your kind lose it and call it LIES.

How so pathetic the AGW crowd is and the scientists who have whored themselves out for a payday.

      • Zachriel says:

Chumpchange: Why even publish a paper like this if it is so far out there?

Because that’s the result they got. Publishing in the peer literature allows other scientists to study the result and find out why it is an outlier.

Chumpchange: when someone publishes something that is contrarian to the AGW position your kind lose it and call it LIES.

You would have to be specific.

        • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

          Ya see this is how it works;

The kiddiez get to deal in generalities and claim it fact but everyone else does not.

          Believe their usual response is
“is not…” or “no citation” or “handwaving” or… point to some obscure study and claim it’s “peer” reviewed so therefore it must be “proof”.
