Re: Wrong Halloween Costume
My family has tan skin, being from Scotland.
My young son wanted to dress up for Halloween as his favorite musician: Jimi Hendrix
He got all the flamboyant clothing, some ‘tie-died’, some beads with a ‘peace symbol’, etc.
He got an ‘afro’ wig.
He felt he looked perfect except for he wanted to go to our fireplace and put charcoal on his face to look darker skinned as his musical hero does.
But I stopped him.
I told him that this is insulting to many darker skinned people because a long time ago….
Maybe I should have let him look like his hero. But who knows if years from now a picture of him in ‘black face’ would show up and used to label him a racist.
Sad but true. Imagine a pre teen being labeled a racist for Idolizing a black man.
The world has lost it’s mind. In fact I am waiting for the left to begin demanding the above pictures be taken down from blogs. Easy to do. Put pressure on the internet provider. You know the Cancled culture in action.
Mark my words. The day will come when women will no longer be allowed to dress in bikini’s and the beaches will be closed to men. Well white men anyway.
No worries. The rich people and government overlords will still have their private beaches.
