De Blasio launches presidential campaign

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio (D) launched his presidential campaign on Thursday, joining a crowded field of Democratic contenders.

“I will take on the wealthy. I will take on the big corporations. I will not rest until this government serves working people. As mayor of the largest city in America, I’ve done just that,” he said in a video announcing the launch of his campaign.

“Donald Trump must be stopped,” he added. “I’ve beaten him before and I’ll do it again.”

De Blasio has cast himself as a progressive during his two terms as mayor, railing against income inequality, touting the benefits of the Green New Deal and feuding with New York’s centrist governor Andrew Cuomo (D).

He is expected to emphasize his mayoral accomplishments during the presidential campaign, including the creation of universal pre-kindergarten and raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, according to news reports.

The video is hilarious, if you can take all 3 minutes. His yammering about ‘climate change’ is particularly silly

Here’s the cover of today’s NY Post

The Post editorial board lists a whole bunch of reasons why his candidacy is a complete farce. You also have his failed New York Works program. Many, many, many, have highlighted what a hypocrite he is on ‘climate change’, and wasted lots of NYC taxpayer money on Hotcoldwetdry related lawsuits. And Carol Markowitz notes that “do as I say, not as I do” on climate change and other issues is the norm for Comrade Bill. Welcome to the gladiator pit, Bill.

In a campaign with a bunch of people who’ve lost elections, is someone who has won his elections but done a terrible job in office really that out of place?

Trump is the best example of that.

Yeah record low unemployment; more jobs available than job seekers; low inflation; wages rising; bad trade deals being renegotiated; useless regulations removed; 500,000 manufacturing jobs added.

Yeah — a real disaster….. For Big Government Libs

It’s gotta be poisoning your soul to know that Trump has accomplished more than Obama ever dreamed of, but that’s the difference between someone who’s actually accomplished something and a guy who’s grifted off taxpayers his entire life. Community organizer, GtFOoH.

Basic math: With each new entry to the field, the weight of each previous entry is diminished. The Democratic party field has already reached diminishing returns where the candidate is as likely to be decided by random selection (flipping a 22 sided coin) as by party consensus. I think Hillary should enter the race to save the party from itself. She is the only one with the gravitas to unite the party.

Bill’s the perfect little commie to represent the modern democrat party.

trumpy’s the perfect fascist grifter to represent the modern republic party.
