Adults Need To Stop Tweeting And Start Acting On ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

Kids who cannot live in a world without social media and smartphones are Upset

‘We need to get adults to stop Tweeting and start acting’

Friday afternoon, Albuquerque middle and high school students took over a corner of the University of New Mexico’s Johnson Field—and then a busy intersection nearby—to demand action on climate change.

Alyssa Ruiz from Sandia High School told the crowd that while the United States plans to spend more than a billion dollars building a wall along the U.S./Mexico border, the Trump administration’s proposed budget for 2020 cuts spending on renewable energy. “When will our future be considered a national emergency?” she asked.

Katie Butler, a 17-year-old student from La Cueva High School, was among the co-organizers of the School Strike for Climate Action. “This isn’t about politics,” she said. Rather, climate change is a human rights issue.

And seventh grader Eliott Patton expressed the frustration echoed by many of the teens at the protest. “We need to get adults to stop Tweeting,” she told the crowd, “and start acting.”

OK, let’s get rid of school buses and require the kids to walk or bike to school. We can turn the heat down to 65 and the AC up to 78. No more outlets to charge their smartphones, and turn the WiFi routers off, due to all the vampire electricity. They’re cool with that, right? No meat will be served at lunch, no carbonated drinks, no snacks.

Arriving at the protest with his mom and two siblings, ten-year-old Alex Hanna told NM Political Report he fights for climate change “because it’s our future and we can’t waste it.”

I wonder what type of fossil fueled vehicle they used to get to the protest. ‘Climate’ action starts with themselves. And other Climahypocrites

Is giving up flying the best way to stop climate change?

I start sweating nervously every time I read about how air travel impacts the environment.

Having lived abroad for more than 20 years, I take a plane as if it were a city bus, worrying only about how to get from A to B as quickly as possible.

And yet I know there are very valid arguments for why we should substantially reduce aeroplane journeys, or stop flying altogether.

Warmist Lise Floris is a typical Climahypocrite, and, like most, finds ways to excuse her Bad Behavior. She makes small donations to offset her jet-setting lifestyle, and

Nothing can replace experiencing another country in real life, with all its culture shock and emotion.

Now more than ever, we need to find ways to understand our world. Flying may actually be required for us to experience the world with open eyes and without prejudice.

Flying in order to “be there” has taught me about many things.

With tears in my eyes, I have seen thousands of acres of palm oil plantations in Asia from the air — and their impact on wildlife from the ground.

Interesting. The massive expansion of palm oil plantations coincided with the growth of the Cult of Climastrology. While it is used in many things, including cookies, its supposed low carbon footprint and use as a biofuel have caused environmental destruction. So, Lise wants to see the destruction partly driven by her own cult. Don’t expect the vast majority of Cult members to change their ways, though. Won’t happen. Except where government action comes into play, and then they are very surprised that they stuff they wanted for Other People hurts their own lives.

I’m sincerely trying my best out here! But the cows keep farting and that cancels out my compost heap! And recycle bin! And my bicycle!

~97% of all greenhouse gasses come from natural sources and there is nothing we can do about it.
–Scientists have calculated that termites alone produce ten times as much carbon dioxide as all the fossil fuels burned in the whole world in a year.
–Besides Greenhouse gases, CO2 in particular, are but a fart in the wind of global warming when compared to the variation in energy imparted by the sun due to solar cycles. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif
