Senate To Vote On Green New Deal Today, Dems Rather Upset

I fully expect most Democrats in the Senate to vote “present“, a notion they discussed back when this turd of a resolution was released and McConnell stated would get a vote

McConnell to put Green New Deal to vote, forcing Democrats to go on record

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will put the Green New Deal to a vote on Tuesday in a move that will force Democrats to take an official stand on the measure and thus pit the party’s moderates against its progressive wing.

“I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stand on the “Green New Deal,” McConnell tweeted. “A radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy.”

The resolution, which amounts to an ambitious overhaul of the U.S. to combat climate change, undoubtedly will not pass in the GOP-controlled Senate. But Republicans say that the vote will allow them to better gauge Democrats’ commitment to its radical proposals.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has derided the planned vote as a political stunt and accused Republicans on Saturday of “wasting votes in Congress.”

Are Senate Democrats, many of whom have gone on the record (just not with a vote) in saying they support this, especially those running for president, still going to go weasel and vote present?

The New York Times reports that most Democrats will vote present on Tuesday because the terms of the resolution have not been fully flushed out or discussed among the party.

Yup. Weasels.

The vote will be 53-0 against with every democrat voting present. As we all know voting present means your there but it means neither yes or no. If the Dems do this in unison then they will avoid being raked by their own base. If some break and vote yes out of principal then many senators are going to feel the heat from their base back home.

With that said I have to go to work now. Breakfast is over and I have to git to town to buy some hardware to fix a section of fencing that my cows cant get in their head that the grass is NOT greener on the other side of the fence. And then I have to put up a ton of orange Tape to keep stupid kids from chopping their heads off on their ATV’s even though they are breaking the law by riding their ATV’s off marked areas in the national Park that abuts my property.

Then I have to turn on lighting in one section at night to prevent the same thing from happening. Nothing like zipping along at 35 mph on an ATV and running into barbed wire about neck high. Yeah I will get sued even when I have all of this in place. Orange Tape and Lights on the poles at night including String lights in one popular section. Even though the government has posted no ATV’s allowed in this area and it is a violation I will get sued if some stupid kid or adult kills themselves on my clearly marked fence.

But hey, thats why I have a 25 million dollar Ryder on my insurance policy against such stupidity. Want to know why your hamburger is going up in price……Try 3500.00 per year just to have this liability ryder on my policy to help defray the costs of being sued by stupid people. Even though they break the law and they are at fault and I have done everything according to the law and regulation. I still get sued and still have to pay to defend myself. Then when the other people lose the judge orders them to pay 1/10th of my lawyer fees. Aka the last time this happened…..No one was killed only injured….I had to pay 41,000 dollars in lawyer fees and they had to pay back 9999.99 to me leaving me with still 30k in costs that guess what. I PASS ON TO YOU. Capitalism the rich dont pay taxes. YOU DO.
