Supreme Court Votes To Block People With Mental Illness From Serving In Armed Forces For The Time Being

It’s not a hard thing to do to find information on the huge amount of mental illness problems among those who are increasingly calling themselves “transgender”, what is medically termed Gender Dysphoria. Their rates of suicide, being suicidal, and depression are sky high. Add that all the changes they put their bodies through via things like hormones, and they aren’t the best candidates to serve to defend the nation during time of war. Hey, they may be nice people, they may want to serve, but the military shouldn’t be a testing ground for social justice stuff

Supreme Court Revives Transgender Ban for Military Service

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted the Trump administration’s request to allow it to bar most transgender people from serving in the military while cases challenging the policy make their way to the court.

The administration’s policy reversed a 2016 decision by the Obama administration to open the military to transgender service members. It generally prohibits transgender people from military service but makes exceptions for those already serving openly and those willing to serve “in their biological sex.”

The vote to lift two injunctions blocking the policy issued by lower courts was 5 to 4, with the Supreme Court’s five conservative members in the majority.

So, to be clear, this ban is not really a ban, it is an injunction which keeps it in place until such other cases make it to the court. So, of course we’re getting unhinged rants like featured first in the NY Times opinion section, including the web front page

The Supreme Court Just Ended My Military Career

(I’m going to skip past the long recitation of this biological males runup to being gender confused)

No one, including the lawyers for the Trump administration, has been able to show that inclusion of transgender service members or providing care to them has had any measurable negative impact on morale, readiness or unit cohesion. The chiefs of staff of all four service branches of the military have testified to Congress that there have been no issues.

Notice the part about “care for them”. Home many times have we see these gender confused demand that the military pay for their transitions, including operations? And these GC demand that they be allowed to use the same showers, bathrooms, dorms, and such as the opposite biology.

For me, however, it probably marks the end of almost 10 years of trying to find a way to serve my country in uniform again. The court also rejected the administration’s request for a quick hearing on the ban itself, which means at least another year of waiting. By then I will have likely aged out of my eligibility.

If this were through some failing of mine, I could accept it. But it speaks volumes about where we are as a country that the opportunity for many to serve should be denied by the prejudices of a few.

Again, the military doesn’t exist to be a petri dish of discovery. Go join the Peace Corps or something if you want that. I’m not questioning the heart or willingness to fight for these folks, I’m questioning their value and ability to not cause problems.

  1. Jeffery L Keene says:

Neither WHO nor DSM-V list gender dysphoria as a mental illness, so you are wrong.

We all know how this will turn out, despite this SC ruling. Even in the face of right-wing fascism freedoms will march on. Always does.

    • Dana says:

Jeffery L Keene? Has Mr Bodine decided to post under his real, full name?

Even in the face of right-wing fascism freedoms will march on.

Haven’t you been among the advocates of restricting our Constitutional rights, when it comes to the Second Amendment? Haven’t you been someone saying that we should ban the mentally ill from owning firearms?

Well, if we should ban the mentally ill from owning firearms — something I support only after due process of law adjudicating them to be mentally ill — and we do ban the mentally ill from serving in the military, then we should also ban the ‘transgendered,’ who are delusional, mentally ill, cookoo for cocoa puffs.

        OOPS! Again.
Nignorant will probably blame Teach. Again. https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

Because of some computer issues, when my IT professional daughter worked on my ‘puter, my full name comes up whenever I attempt to comment on this fine site. I normally shorten it to my Christian name, but chose not to do so for this comment. Nevertheless, my name is known by anyone who visits my website, and my Twitter account uses my real name.

The photo in my gravatar is a real photo of the real me. I’d suggest that Mr Keene, if that is his real name, add his own real photo to his account; we’d all like to see it.

      • Jacobus Noir says:

I support the 2nd Amendment. But the amendment doesn’t necessarily mean unfettered access to all firearms at all times, at least according to the Supreme Court.

    • formwiz says:

I wasn’t aware they were the final authority.

Most of these trans creeps make it quite clear they have a few bolts missing.

      As does Jeffery.

    • david7134 says:

      Jeff,
No people confused about their sex are mentally ill according to medical opinion.

      • Jacobus Noir says:

Not according to DSM-V or the World Health Organization. You should read up on it.

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
You should get a subscription to up-to-date and see current medical thought. To summate, these people are nuts.

Did RBG issue her opinion from the crypt? We need proof of life.

  3. Dana says:

I was excluded from military service in 1977 because the vision in my right eye was too poor to pass the physical. The reason was obvious: every soldier must be able to serve as a rifleman at need, and, were I to find myself in combat and my glasses broken, I would have been virtually useless, unable to engage the enemy at a distance of greater than several feet.

I was perfectly physically fit otherwise, blew away every intelligence test, и я говорил по-русски; other than my vision, I would have been an ideal candidate. But the need to be able to serve in combat if necessary was paramount. I didn’t like it, but I did understand it.

The so f(ornicated) up in the head that they don’t know what sex they are ‘transgendered’ require extensive medical care, including hormone therapy, and the ‘maintenance’ of surgical changes. If they are pre-‘transition,’ they will demand expensive and time consuming surgical ‘treatment,’ not only costing the taxpayers a lot of money but rendering them unfit for combat for long periods of time.

Male-to-“female” require daily “dilation” of their fake vaginas; will some sexually normal soldier have to be assigned the duty of “dilating” their “vaginas” if they are out in the field? Or will the M-4 rifle have to be modified with a dildo end?

We do not allow diabetics to enlist, and discharge those who develop diabetes after enlistment.

The ‘transgendered’ are mentally ill; we should allow them in the military no more than we do schizophrenics.

    • Professor Hale says:

      Dana,
You are such a bigot. It’s only a matter of time before the entire internet bans you. There are lots of hard working schizophrenics who sincerely want to serve their country, whether we need them or not. Only a bigoted Trumplican would try to force them out. Also, the elderly and Alzheimer’s patients. Just because they can’t remember their own names doesn’t mean they should be excluded from military service. Since “military service” is just another government job, we have to make sure all the demographics have their fair share of those jobs. Especially at the top. At least one general and one admiral should be schizophrenic and another of each should be sociopathic. It’s a civil right.

    • david7134 says:

      Dana,
The problem with transgender and all the transsexual bull not only are your legitimate comments, but also that the medical community views these people as four plus nuts.

  4. JGlanton says:

Maybe a solution could be to only accept transgenders who are completely finished with their transitions and who have been stable for some period of time. People who are in the beginning or middle of changing their gender represent an unknown and variable quantity, physically and mentally and socially, for whom the military shouldn’t expend valuable resources adapting to while they are working to train and position them for an effective role in an integrated team unit. If they decide to change back, discharge them so as not to use up precious military resources adapting to the changes and don’t make the taxpayers pay for their expensive elective medical procedures.

  5. Kye says:

The solution, if you will, is to only accept the highest qualified persons to serve in the worlds finest military. Queers, crazies, trannies, criminals and psychos of any stripe are not needed. Persons not physically, mentally and emotionally top fit should be banned and no person should be able to grift the taxpayers for medical treatment by joining the military.

    • Jacobus Noir says:

According to Con Men, it sounds as if only the brave, white conservative men should be accepted. So be it.

      • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

Wonder why they didn’t accept a nignorant angry little negro fella named jeffery l. keene back during the uh ya know Vietnam war… https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

  6. Jl says:

Didn’t you mean to say “the only brave are white conservative men?” I thought so.

    • Jacobus Noir says:

Transgendered, gay, women, immigrants all volunteer for duty. Did you? Are there just not enough white conservatives to fill the ranks of our military? LOL

      • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

Tell us how you uh “volunteered” little fella. Wasn’t that back uh, ya know during the Vietnam war? https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

  7. Kye says:

Child molesters, rapists, thieves, murderers, drug addicts drug dealers, car thieves, and all other sorts of miscreants also volunteer for duty. So what? That means we should take physical, psychological, mental and emotional misfits? If faggots, women and transgendered were good in combat we would have been drafting them. Why aren’t we? And nobody’s saying what you said that “the only brave are white conservative men”. But nut cases and gender twisted perverts sure aren’t. If a person can’t face the truth of his own sexuality he isn’t fit to face an enemy.

    • Jacobus Noir says:

We don’t have a draft is why we don’t draft them.

You think gays, women and transgendered are akin to child molesters, rapists and murderers?

The problem is that not enough peckerwoods are patriotic enough to enlist. DJT avoided the service… neither DJT Jr, Eric, Tiffany nor Ivanka volunteered. Blacks, Native Americans, immigrants, gays, women and transgendered DO volunteer.

  8. Jl says:

As do white males, I’m sure you just forgot that group

  9. Kye says:

“We don’t have a draft is why we don’t draft them.”

Now you’re just acting stupid. When we had the draft they weren’t drafted because they are lousy soldiers. If they made good soldiers every nation in the world would be actively looking to fill their ranks with faggots, trannies and women. Now I’m sure it won’t take long for the leftists to do to our military what it has done to our art, literature, culture, sports, education, industry and now razor blades but that’s another topic.

    • Professor Hale says:

      … They are lousy soldiers.
Likely as not, this isn’t true. The US military has for nearly a hundred years tried to pre-select those who would be “great soldiers”. For the most part, we can’t tell the difference. The fact is that most of the military services don’t need great soldiers, or at least not a lot of them. The Army needs a lot of truck drivers. The navy needs a HUGE number of “able seamen” to do odd jobs like scraping the rust and putting out fires. The Air force doesn’t need any “great soldiers” at all. Just a handful of pilots and thousands of ground crew to support them. All of the military forces have their “elite forces” but none of them were recruited, selected and moved into that status. They had to be serving first to see if they adapted well to military service first and then could handle more difficult assignments along the way.

It is very likely that Trannies and homosexuals were excluded for so long merely because of bias. We will never really know. In our current politically ccorrect environment, high ranking military officers will ALWAYS do whatever the political forces tell them to do and then claim they were on board all along. They learned this from the homosexual thing. One day they were testifying to Congress that homosexuality was incompatible with military service and the next day the same officers were proudly supporting full integration. Truth: Nothing bad happened. When it comes to Trannies, they likely are a little crazy. But so are 30% of women. They cause all sorts of trouble and it is just a price the military has to pay because we live in a free society and we recruit people from that society. We don’t all need to be ninjas. We do need a LOT of truck drivers, mechanics, fuel handlers, warehouse workers, ammunition handlers, Medical staff and assorted other dogs and cats. We even need chaplains who, by definition, are such terrible soldiers that we don’t even let then have a gun.

The real argument is and should be, what is best for the nation. What price do we pay to gain a certain benefit. For Trannies, it’s all cost and no benefit. Unless you are a democratic party politician, then flooding the military with your favorite LGBTQ activists is all benefit and no cost (to them). This is the way our system works. It takes a Trump to push back on the trend. That’s why he was elected. He won’t serve forever. Then the next guy will pay off his supporters by promoting some lesbian activist as a general.

    • Jacob Noire says:

I see from your picture that you’re an older white woman. Why would you disparage gay men (as faggots), the transgendered (as trannies) and women (as if they can’t be effective troops)?
