More Democrats Want Action On ‘Climate Change’ Than Impeachment Or Something

Which is actually interesting, as it beats out their unhinged rants for impeachment

Impeachment at Bottom of Voters’ Priorities for New Congress

Throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, Democratic leaders have tried to tamp down on efforts among their rank and file to elevate discussion of impeaching the president, but the first day of the 116th Congress illustrated it’s a tough task.

Freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) made headlines that persisted for days after touting her desire to “impeach the motherf—er” in the White House during a Jan. 3 speech to liberal MoveOn.org activists. Those remarks came the same day that two other House Democrats, Brad Sherman of California and Al Green of Texas, introduced a resolution to impeach the president.

A recent Morning Consult/Politico survey — conducted Jan. 4-6 among 1,989 registered voters — underscores why the likes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) have been reticent to discuss the prospect of impeaching Trump: Just 23 percent of voters said beginning impeachment proceedings to remove Trump from office should be a top priority — the lowest on the list of priority topics tested.

It’s rather a weird poll, as respondents were apparently allowed to pick multiple things as priorities, and the article doesn’t include a link to the actual data and questions asked.

So, hooray, ‘climate change’ actually beat something! Among all voters, though, it would be right at the bottom.

And, of course, Democrats want to take out guns, and, weirdly, want health care reform. Wasn’t that what Obamacare was for? Oh, right, now they want government run health care. Gun control is pretty darned low overall, though.

How bizarre is it that the most important issue for tRumpublicans Republicans is “Build the Wall”?

Not the deficit, not immigration reform, not health care reform, but building a silly Wall.

On healthcare, didn’t tRump promise to eliminate the ACA and replace it with a system to give Americans much better and much cheaper healthcare? The GOP has worked hard to disable the ACA.

Should tRump be impeached? Depends on what Mr. Mueller reveals. But at this time, no. He’ll resign before 2020.

The greatest threat facing the US is “economic inequality” (i.e., the continued assault on the working classes).

    • Hoss says:

Building the wall should have been part of immigration reform, I thought it was weird to single it out.

It’s weird to hear someone who was against Trump’s tax cuts complain about income inequality; you guys need to get over being butt-hurt that corporations got a tax cut (my retirement portfolio, as well as millions of other everyday folk’s retirements, has investment in those evil corporations), because the package as a whole has helped a lot of families out.

Stop caving in to the fixed-pie fallacy as well.

    • Jl says:

“The greatest threat facing the US is economic inequality.”. Why yes, then we should open the border to let in more hordes of low skilled, low educated illegals to tip the inequality scale even more.

  2. Jl says:

How bizarre? You mean one of Trunmp’s main campaign themes that got him elected? Where have you been? But it’s interesting that back in 2009 both Pelosi and Schumer were for tougher border security. So why then in 2009 with control of Congress and a filibuster proof senate did they not pass immigration reform? I’m sure a few dollars out of the 787 billion dollar stimulus bill could have been found for security. Gee, it’s almost like they were lying…

    • Jethro says:

In 2009, The Economic Meltdown was central. You know, they even named it – The Great Recession. It was in all the papers. Healthcare reform was a greater issue than immigration as well. And they had passed a Fence Act in 2006.

You mean one of Trump’s main campaign themes that got him elected?

Who cares what the Russians wanted? The majority of Americans oppose The Wall. Isn’t tRump supposed to be the President of the US, not just the alt-right? You know and I know that tRump has little chance to be re-elected in a fair election. Even in a booming economy 60% of American voters are sick and tired of his antics. Why should 35% of Americans dictate policy – especially policy as dumb a Great Wall of Trumpistan?

      • Hoss says:

Really hard to get away from the fact that your team was so for a wall back when it served them well politically, isn’t it.

And Colluders are as effing stupid as Truthers, but don’t let that and yelling “alt-right” and “tRump” get in your way of anyone thinking you sound like a pissed-off 18 year-old loser living in his mom’s basement. Seriously.

Glad you acknowledged we have a booming economy – Thank you, President Trump!

        • Jethro says:

When were the Dems “for The Wall”?

The difference between Colluders and Truthers (incl. The Don) is that collusion has been shown to be real, whereas the Truthers were just wrong. Remember all the blog posts from amateur sleuth Truthers “proving” the fake birth certificate? Good times.

The trajectory of the economy was not changed when tRump became president of the electoral college. Thank Allah!

Your movement has welcomed the alt-right, neoNazis and white nationalists. And tRump does his own amount of nicknaming, ridiculing and insulting, doesn’t he? We thought it was accepted, since the president of the electoral college does it.

          • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

collusion has been shown to be real,…

            Really? Where and by whom?
We know about Hillary and the DNC but there’s nothing on the President.
As usual nignorant makes claims he can’t back up.

          • Hoss says:

Collusion has been shown? Way to double-down on being a dumbass. And don’t be so damned lazy, I know democrats are used to sitting back and letting everyone else do the heavy-lifting, but I’m not going to do your Googling for you. Hint: democrats + wall. You’re welcome.

And you lefties can lie to yourselves all you want, but Obama didn’t have sh*t to do with the trajectory this economy is on. If he would have done anything positive for the economy it will have been purely by accident.

Oh, goodie! A democrat party full of collectivists, fascists, anti-Semites, and general America-haters is going to lecture us on the turds in the punch bowl. And to make matters worse, all these democrat party sub-groups scream their intentions to anyone within earshot. So, you might want to worry about the critters undoing your foundation before you worry about everyone else.

      • Jl says:

So in other words Trump campaigned on a border wall and he’s trying to follow through on it, as I said. “Healthcare reform was a bigger issue..”. Why yes, and the libs screwed that up, too. Funny though, that J comes down on Trump for following through on a campaign promise but lamely excuses Pelosi and Schumer for not. It’s almost like he’s a hypocrite or something…

  3. Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

Gee, it’s almost like they were lying…

    It’seems what they do.https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

  4. Mangoldielocks says:

Ocasio-Cortez retorted, “Of course not. What we have in mind—and what of my—and my policies most closely resemble what we see in the U.K., in Norway, in Finland, in Sweden.” In fact, her economic proposals bear little resemblance to British and Nordic public policy.

    THE VOICE OF STUPID.

The most important thing the left wants is for the nation to fill up with stupid people so their new leaders appear smart. As expected the left has no ff’ing clue about government in Europe. Sweeden and Norway or Finland are not socialist. They are Capitalist and citizens PAY FOR HEALTHCARE. It is not free.

There is nothing free in this world. STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.

George W. Bush’s love child inherited his mental faculties. Now we know where GWB was when he was hiding in the White House terrified of the shoe throwing bandit. He was banging AOC’s momma so we could have another Brilliant mind to add to the DC Cesspool.

  5. Professor Hale says:

Interesting, “health care reform” does not mean the same thing for Democrats as it does for Republicans. In fact, it means exactly the opposite. Same thing for Immigration reform. Democrats want more immigrants. Republicans want fewer.

You have to admire a guy who ran for president knowing ahead of time that half of America would hate his guts if he actually won. Knowing that they would come after him and his family the way they have and still love his country enough to put his family and personal wealth at risk.

  6. MrDeLaGarzenzo says:

And you lefties can lie to yourselves all you want, but Obama didn’t have sh*t to do with the trajectory this economy is on. If he would have done anything positive for the economy it will have been purely by accident.

Actually if you google or bing or yahoo or use one of the many search engines you can look at a chart of Obama’s economy and it looks dazzling. I mean if you didn’t really understand the context of the economy by looking at this amazing and truly mindboggling chart you could only assume that Obama was the greatest economic president in the history of mankind.

Yet the chart begins after the implosion of the economy and after it has fallen off a cliff. So when you look at the bottom of the world, a world in which many feared the US might never recover from it is no wonder that the chart climbs from the bottom of the Grand Canyon to where Trump took over. Most people understand that Obama flooded colleges and SSDI and Vet Disability with unemployed dropping the unemployment from the most likely 16 percent to around 8 percent. Actually not a bad idea in the grand scheme of things but still. Not a long term solution to anything.

    • Liljeffyatemypuppy says:

Also fracking and Quantitative Easing by the Fed.
      The fracking Obama fought.
The QE he could do nothing about.

      • david7134 says:

        Pups,
Obama’s approach to easing is worse than stated. He was doing that simply to manipulate the market, not even the economy. I think he was so stupid that he thought that a rising market was evidence of a better economy. It was so bad that if the market had a few down days you could place money on the DOW knowing the Feds would step in and change the trend. This out is 10 trillion in the hole and thus devalued our currency.
