Who’s Surprised That Warmists Are Blaming/Linking The Indonesia Tsunami To ‘Climate Change’?

So, a tsunami has hit Indonesia, and there are scores missing and 222 dead at this time. Some of the video is amazingly horrific. It was caused by Anak Krakatau, and ever growing volcano in the same area as the original Krakatau. But, of course, Cult of Climastrology

Really? Mankind created the volcano because people drove fossil fueled vehicles?

Seriously, this goes on and on and on. These are not just a few scattered ravings (well, they are ravings) of demented people. And many more are just mentioning the tsunami and include a #climatechange hashtag.

  1. JGlanton says:

Making the connection of a volcanic eruption to an effect of climate change can only come from the magical thinking of children. Objective reasoning is becoming a scarce commodity in today’s twitterverse.

  2. Kye says:

I was thinking the same thing, JGlanton. Let’s list a whole bunch of random occurrences and blame them on “climate change” and by inference it’s man’s fault. How about this: stabbings, beatings and poisonings! We need common sense gun control! Now!

  3. Jethro says:

Actually, it makes sense that increases in sea level would increase the damage from tsunamis.

And geologists claim that large changes in ice sheets and glacial ice can trigger earthquakes. Fracking also triggers earthquakes.

But none of this suggests that the latest Indonesian tsunami, likely triggered by landslide from a volcano, has an association with global warming.

Actually, it makes no sense at all, since tidal waves are caused by earthquakes and/or volcanic eruptions.
