Supremacist Medical Organization Says ‘Climate Change’ Is Threat To Health Of Humanity

Since the membership of this supremacist/separatist group tends to vote 90% Democrat, of course they oppose getting rid of one of Obama’s “signature” accomplishments

Climate change is a threat to the health of the human species

The National Medical Association opposes the proposed repeal of the Clean Power Plan and replacement with the Affordable Clean Energy or “ACE” rule.

Since our founding nearly 120 years ago, the National Medical Association has faithfully carried out our mission to represent the interests of over 50,000 African-American physicians and the patients we serve. It is our firm belief that enactment of the ACE plan contradicts the core principles of our organization and harms the health of our patients, who already suffer disproportionately from the health effects of climate change.

The increased emissions attributable to the proposed ACE rule will negatively affect the immediate health of all members of the country and will disproportionately affect children, seniors, low-income people, those with chronic disease and many communities of color.

According to the NAACP, 68 percent of African Americans live within 30 miles of a coal-fired power plant, and an additional one million live within one half-mile of natural gas facilities. This proximity to fossil fuel facilities places these communities at risk of increased exposure, magnifying the potential for heart and respiratory disease.

A group that only allows a specific skin color as members and only represents that skin color would be the very definition of racist, would it not? Imagine that the group only represented whites. How would that be treated? Anyhow, it sounds like 68% plus one million of blacks live within 30 miles of low cost, reliable energy plants. Which is what the NMA is attempting to get rid of.

A study of our members conducted in 2014 revealed that 88 percent of African-American physicians are already seeing health effects of climate change in our patients. From exacerbation of preexisting cardiac and respiratory disease to injury from severe weather, our patients are affected more often than the general population.

The most common cause of weather-related death is heat stroke. This death occurs most commonly in elderly, urban shut-ins who do not have air conditioning or cannot afford to use it. With climate change, northern cities like Chicago and Philadelphia are now at highest risk.

Now imagine dramatically increasing the cost of energy: think they’ll be able to afford it then? Might not be able to afford the domicile.

We, as African-American physicians, are called upon to respond to the needs of those who do not have the ability to evacuate from locations of hurricanes and floods such as those from the recent storms in North Carolina, Texas, and Florida.

Interestingly, these same people vote Democrat, who do all they can to keep blacks down on the Dem plantations, beholden to government while living in poverty. And the same Dem governments fail the blacks when storms come (and storms are entirely normal for Earth), such as during Hurricane Katrina. Blacks (and whites and others) didn’t have these same issues in the states and areas run by Republicans during Katrina.

The proposed ACE rule will accelerate this climate change when compared to the Clean Power Plan. By 2030 alone, we expect to see 1,400 more premature deaths and 120,000 more asthma attacks if the ACE rule is enacted. Therefore, I voice our opposition to this proposal to replace the Clean Power Plan with the ACE rule, and it is why we urge you to reaffirm policies that reduce both immediate and long-term health risks to all, as well as reducing health disparities.

So, a potential tiny increase in the global temperature, which could be as much as .1F!!!!!!!!!1!!!! by 2030, which do all that? This is the kind of scaremongering that should be remembered to see if it occurs. It won’t.

BTW, yes, I know that in Liberal World it is raaaaacist to point out the racism of a blacks only group.

Are you certain that white folks aren’t allowed in the NMA? Do you have evidence or facts to support your contention.

It would be racist of you to race-bait by lying about an organization that tries to make life better for a racial minority.

The ball’s in your court, Porter. What have you found?

from the FAQ section of their website:

    Who can join the NMA?
Active Membership is open to all regular physicians and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) licensed to practice medicine in any state or territory of the United States and in the District of Columbia.
Associate Membership is open to 1) physicians who are members of chartered medical organizations in non-U.S. countries, 2) U.S. physicians who are located in foreign countries engaged in medical missionary work, 3) physicians and non-physicians engaged full-time in academic teaching in an accredited medical school and not engaged in clinical practice, and/or (4) Allied Health Professionals.

Post Graduate Physician Membership is open to physicians in training in an accredited medical education program.

Student Membership is open to students duly matriculated in an accredited medical school.

Resident/Fellows membership is open to those in medical residencies and or fellowships.

Emeritus Membership who have been members in good standing for twenty consecutive years and have reached the age of seventy (70) or are completely disabled, upon application to the Executive Director and approval by the Board of Trustees.

    and from their founder:

“Conceived in no spirit of racial exclusiveness, fostering no ethnic antagonism, but born of the exigencies of the American environment, the National Medical Association has for its object the banding together for mutual cooperation and helpfulness, the men and women of African descent who are legally and honorably engaged in the practice of the cognate professions of medicine, surgery, pharmacy and dentistry.”—C.V. Roman, M.D. NMA Founding Member and First Editor of the JNMA 1908

    • Jethro says:

And for the white nationalists reading along, ‘exigencies’ means ‘that which is required for a particular situation’. In this case, Dr. Roman was likely referring to the poor medical care experienced by African-Americans. ‘Cognate’ means ‘related’ or ‘of a similar nature’.

      • formwiz says:

Ooohhh, Jeffery is going to lecture us on vocabulary.

        We’re all impressed.

Actually, exigency is an urgent need or demand.

We’d be more impressed if Jeffery wasn’t just a little more concerned that a group of black doctors, supposedly trained scientists, are dumb enough to believe in global warming.

    • formwiz says:

Apparently, Idiot Boy never heard the old line, what they say and what they do can be two different things (surprise!).

And the line the men and women of African descent who are legally and honorably engaged in the practice of the cognate professions of medicine, surgery, pharmacy and dentistry sure sounds like it.

  2. Jethro says:

    Porter typed: Supremacist Medical Organization…

How is an organization ‘Supremacist’ for trying to help the disadvantaged in a society?

Don’t tell me you think that Americans of African descent are privileged?

We do understand that white supremacists whine that they are the ones discriminated against. That white men built America so America is rightly theirs. That white men distribute rights to their inferiors.

Porter? TEACH? Porter? Can you defend your BS?

    • formwiz says:

Contrary to Jeffery’s Commie propaganda, not all blacks in America are disadvantaged.

About 20% are in poverty, but then white children are the largest group numerically, so why not help them, too?

  3. Jethro says:

    TEACH? Porter?

What’s your reasoning behind calling the NMA a supremacist organization that excludes whites?

  4. david7134 says:

Having been an MD since1974, I can assure you that this is the first time I ever heard of the NMA. But reading its mission statement indicates that it is a racist organization. I have always received junk from the AMA and have never, ever seen reference to race. I also am not a member the AMA as it is a socialistic society that has advocated for socialized medicine, about 90% of doctors hold that view and are not members.

Aslo Jeff’s stupid statements about poor black people not getting adequate treatment, that is not true. Numerous studies have addressed this issue but the consincous has been that poor medical results have been secondary to ignorance and social factors and not prejudice. I have never seen doctors treat people different based on skin color. It would seem that Jeff is the only bigot and racist here.

  5. formwiz says:

Well, since the AMA long ago tossed its credibility in favor of being PC (in the article, they do the Full Court Alinsky in obeisance to this NMA), and the Forbes article is nothing but a Lefty dishrag to advocate for socialized medicine (we didn’t want it, but were made to try it, anyway), my guess is, in the face of the opinion of an actual MD, Jeffery will tell us all that an actual practitioner’s experience can’t compare to what the Glorious World Socialist Revolution says.

dave, keep on keepin’ on. You’re the kind of people who have made America the real world standard in health care.

    • Jethro says:

Do you ANY evidence other than dave’s biased opinion to refute ALL the data showing the poorer care and outcomes? Didn’t think so.

      • formwiz says:

I didn’t see any evidence, just a lot of opinion and shilling for socialized medicine.

This is why you are so wrong all the time. You can’t tell the difference.

  6. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
Give evidence of my so called biased opinion. No, you cant. Anything, person, paper, book that disagrees with you is incorrect, racist, biased. Yet, it is beyond evident that you view black people as beneath you and requires your so intellictual, modern, informed and enlightened attitude to raise them to an exhaulted status just not as equivalent to you. As I said, there are numerous articles on the in real journals, look them up. Try JAMA, JACC.

Then for the NMA, look up the description in wiki.

    • Jethro says:

      dave,

I supplied two references, there are hundreds more describing the health and healthcare of Black Americans. You have previously described Blacks as lazy and stupid.

Was there something in the NMA Wikipedia article that troubles you?

    • david7134 says:

      Jeff,
No you characterize blacks as lazy and all the other trash talk, grow up and keep your lies straight.

      • Jethro says:

        dave,

That’s just not true. We recall you stating that your Black patients caused most of their own problems by being not hard-working and not smart.

Kudos if you’ve changed your opinion of Black people.

        • david7134 says:

          Jeff,
I was perplexed with the initial attack and what conversation you were referring to. With your second comment it is beyond obvious that you are cherry picking statements and once again LYING.

Now, as to black patients, they are just like white patients in that most of their social activities result in their illnesses. I am a cardiologist and I would be without a job is people exercised daily, lost weight, did not smoke and in every other way maintained a healthy life style, but they don’t despite being told to so I make money.

Now one thing that disturbs me is your passing on a perceived attitude I might have. You don’t have the right to tell any of us how good we are because we grovel at the feet of black folks, like you did when you were the white pet of a black gang. You see Jeff, that is a major issue with you, instead of earning respect, you try to show the world how enlightened you are and we are supposed to worship you. Well that is not happening. You are a low life and have very few accomplishments, I looked them up. You think you are a great intellectual but you do not have credentials to back up that concept. So, you turn to liberal attitudes to try and show you are great as it apparently takes a great intellect to be a liberal and above the masses. In reality, you are a low life. Why don’t you tell all of us just what you have done for the great black people, that I can’t find.

  7. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
You provided opinion pieces. The AMA is a liberal organization so of course everything is racist, just like you think. Forbes is not a study. You seem to have major issues with propaganda and no facts. Then the NMA clearly states that it’s intention is the advancement of black doctors over other races. Imagine an organization saying they would protect whites. Finally, poor people have more health issues than their richer cousins. There is not doubt about that. If you hired me to follow you daily, you would live past 100. Of course I would never do that for scum like you. But instead of looking at the realty of this issue, you frame it in racism, which does not exist.

  8. Mangoldielocks says:

Of course I would never do that for scum like you.

I am perplexed at this sentence in an otherwise generally well written post. Why do you allow this troll to get under your skin. He is here for two reasons. Either to drum up hits to the OP’s website or to troll right people into hate speech so the left can then point to comments like this to validate their thinking of the right.

    This man is a troll.

TEACH/Porter is despicable for calling them a supremacist group, lying about the organization, then whining about criticisms of white orgs. Classic tRumpublican race-baiting.

He trolls you by saying whites are supremacists stirring your anger and getting you riled up and then throwing out FORBES studies which is about as far left as you can get. See the problem with dealing with trolls and shills is that you can never win an argument.

A troll will ask you to defend your position while never defending their own. Only throwing out links to dubious studies. When you respond. They respond with more questions and never answers. They never defend their own positions. To do so would invite them to need to defend their position.

When Jethro says the science is settled he does not discuss it, only throw dispersions on those who disagree and then ask dozens of questions HOPING YOU will answer so he can then ridicule and defame you for what he will then call stupid and ignorant answers. Science deniers. Racist. Homophobe. Whatever adjective fits his narrative within the context of the current topic.

He is the exact reason why Social media is now censoring content. He is the reason why soon ISP’s will be censoring this website. HE is the reason why in the near future only the left and their ideaology will be allowed on the internet.

Don’t give in to the troll. Doing so is a win for him no matter how foolish YOU THINK YOU MAKE HIM LOOK.
