Teen Vogue: Having An Abortion Is Best, Most Mature Decision Or Something

This is the kind of garbage that teen girls are being taught

You know I prefer to avoid getting into a discussion of abortion on demand, but this is truly demented. From the insane story by Elly Belle

Teens Are Speaking Up About Their Abortions Through Youth Testify
The new program is helping young people advocate for their reproductive rights.

When 22-year-old Jessy first learned she was pregnant, she was in shock. At the time, she was a junior at the University of California, Riverside, the president of her campus chapter of Planned Parenthood Generation Action, and a reproductive rights activist. Still, she said she never quite imagined herself as someone who might someday be fighting for her own right to have an abortion.

“I just didn’t know what to do for myself even though I knew what I would always tell others,” Jessy told Teen Vogue. “Knowing that what was inside me kept growing as time progressed really did take an emotional toll on me, my grades, my social life… it wasn’t until after I got my abortion that I got some sort of relief.

One would have thought with that SJW abortionista pedigree she would have understood the need to have responsible, protected sex.

Jessy was ultimately able to get an abortion, and now she is one of 13 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 who will be participating in Youth Testify. The new leadership program being launched by Advocates for Youth and the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) is specifically for young people who have had abortions and want to share their stories to change the conversation around abortion and combat misinformation. “Because of all the hurdles I had to go through with insurance, I had to play the waiting game for so long, and because there’s so much stigma surrounding abortion, I was ashamed and didn’t try to reach out for more help,” Jessy told Teen Vogue.

Or, she could have just paid for the abortion herself. Better yet, had protected sex.

Youth Testify aims to provide these resources, and simultaneously reframe the narrative around abortion by giving platform to some of the most vulnerable abortion storytellers — particularly people of color, LGBTQ people, and people with varying abilities and citizenship statuses. The goal of the program, according to the NNAF, is to show that young people who have had abortions are the experts on reproductive rights as well as the experts of their own experiences, and must be trusted with making decisions without anyone else’s permission. The participants come from states all over the country including California, Illinois, Mississippi, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Washington, and have had anywhere from 1 to 3 abortions. Through a range of trainings, including community organizing trainings, and teachings on how to bring attention to the financial and logistical barriers to abortion that young people, the participants will learn how to tell their own stories while gaining a deeper understanding of abortion and reproductive rights so they can uplift and fight for others who face challenging circumstances.

So, we’re supposed to listen to the people who became pregnant through irresponsible, unprotected sex as the experts?

And although Veronika, a 19-year-old Latina woman (it’s great that Liberals put everyone in a Box, eh?), was ultimately granted the right to an abortion without approval from a parent or guardian, it didn’t make the process any less nerve-wracking. “It was stressful emotionally because I was really scared they would say no,” Veronika told Teen Vogue. But she also wants the world to know how much relief and joy her ability to get an abortion has brought her, and that she has no regrets. “It was the best, most mature decision I made in my life, because I got to determine my future. I made a decision for myself and for a child, that I wasn’t ready emotionally, mentally, or financially.”

I would have thought that the most mature decision would been to not have irresponsible, unprotected sex with a person(s) that she didn’t want to have a baby with. And that is exactly where this type of insanity goes completely off the rails, as these SJW abortionistas are pushing abortions rather than safe, responsible, protected sex. They’re positioning the murder of an unborn life as the mature response, that it’s no big deal whatsoever. What they are saying is “just go ahead and have sex, no big deal, don’t worry about protection, just have an abortion!” Psychos. This is not a healthy attitude.

These same people are also pushing obesity as being OK, as well, but, that’s a different rant

I was surprised to learn that some of my adult male friends are reading Teen Vogue. I’ve teased them about it when they quote or recite some far-leftist ignorant emotional article from that rag. When they link some “shocking” story about science or health care, I reply that the most shocking thing is that a grown man is reading Teen Vogue. I guess people seek the type of information they are looking for, and if you are looking for rational thought, objectivism, empiricism, or logical progression, you need look elsewhere.

Anyway, its just Teen Vogue, it means nothing. What makes me concerned for the state of intellectual reasoning today are periodical like NYT and WaPo, who believe that one man is changing the weather, the climate, and making storms worse. That is pure mysticism.

I had no idea there were that many drunk, blind men.

irresponsible, unprotected sex with a person(s) that she didn’t want to have a baby with

You have no idea if this was the case. Are you familiar with the failure rates of various contraceptive methods? Condoms? Emergency contraception? IUD? Oral contraception?

Do conservative men ever have sex with person(s) they do not intend to have a baby with?

she could have just paid for the abortion herself

Should the man who inseminated her share the responsibility?

Can you define “irresponsible” sex? Is it sex without marriage? Sex with a person(s) just met? Rape? Or sex using the “rhythm method”?

    Yes. Are you?

Should the man who inseminated her share the responsibility?

If the woman claims that she and only she has the right to determine whether to have an abortion, then no, the male should not have to pay. You cannot have it both ways. You can’t say “my body, my choice” and then say “my body, you pay for my choice.”

    Can you define “irresponsible” sex?

Yes. It is sex without preparing for or willing to take responsibility for the consequences of intercourse.

  5. Jethro says:

    Here’s a solution to abortion!

Every man not desiring the responsibility of a child should get a vasectomy!

The reason women should have the choice of whether to spawn is because they take all the responsibility.

Here’s a response to Jeffery, quit betraying your people by following Margaret Sanger’s teaching and encouraging them to exterminate themselves.

      • Jethro says:

        Who are my people?

In the US, nearly two-thirds of abortions are obtained by Christians, including evangelicals.

Less than a third are obtained by Black women.

Three-fourths are poor. 80% are in their 20s and 30s.

Over half paid for their abortion out of pocket.

  6. Jethro says:

Vasectomize all males as teens, and either reverse the surgery when they become responsible enough to become a father or use in vitro fertilization.

Abortions would drop to nearly zero!!

  7. formwiz says:

Teach kids the object of intercourse is babies and that’s why we have only 2 genders.

Teach boys to be men and that one of the obligations of a man is to face their responsibilities.

Teach girls to be ladies and that acting like a slut only gets her sorrow.

  8. Jethro says:

It’s incredibly difficult to have an unwanted pregnancy without a male – boyfriend, fiancé, husband, friend, acquaintance, stranger, rapist – ejaculating inside a female.

Do MEN have any responsibility or is the official position of the American Right that unwanted pregnancies are always the female’s fault?

Looked at the article photo has me wondering “who’s knocking up all the fat chicks?”. Sue me for fat shaming, but I doubt there are many sexual partners looking at these girls for long-term relationships. If they look like that at 20… You know they know it, too. I’m betting there was a lot of blind-drunk sex going on here. I date women who are 50 and they are all 100X hotter and fitter than these fatsos.

They do look like a group of candidates for future feminist leadership roles. Just give them a few more years for their anger to reach a boiling point.
