There’s a Dem plan to impeach Justice Clarence Thomas as credible new claims of sexual assault have emerged. Of course, they’ll need the House and Senate and finally a Dem Prez to nominate a decent and fair American.
For whatever reason, at the time the “gentlemans” Congress didn’t want to hear from the other women who worked for or with Thomas who corroborated Ms. Hill’s claims – Angela Wright, Rose Jourdain, Lillian McEwen, Sukari Hardnett, Kaye Savage, Moira Smith… The last thing Ted Kennedy wanted to talk about was sexual abuse. Clearly, Thomas committed perjury during the hearings. Joe Biden, Chairman of the hearings, was outwitted by the Repubs, agreeing to limits on the line of questioning at the time. The Repubs attacked Anita Hill at the time with the catchphrase “a little bit nutty, a little bit slutty”. Classic Con Man! t-Rump would have been proud if he wasn’t busy raping 13 yr olds.

Laughable. Even if we were to believe Miss Hill’s claims, what she alleged was that Mr Thomas made a few crude comments to her. That ain’t sexual assault.
It would take a majority of the House of Representatives, which is controlled by the House of Representatives, to impeach Justice Thomas, and 67 senators to remove him from office. With only ten Republican-held Senate seats up for re-election in 2018, even if the Democrats ran the table, they’d have only 59 seats in the Senate.
And history continues to humiliate the Democrats as they could have passed their gun control legislation (whatever that would be) when they controlled Congress. But whining is much more fun.
Cons and the NRA block all legislation. In fact, the Dems put up a bill, and Mitch filibustered it.
The Repugs are in charge now, and they could fix it if they had balls. But the NRA has their balls.
The NRA spent $200 million between 1998 and 2016 on political action, Unions spent $1.7 billion in 2016 alone. The NRA’s dirty money is buying all of this political action? Do you even read what you write sometimes?

There was no way a bill opposed by the NRA would get past the Senate with less than 60 liberal Dem votes. Even one red state Dem worried about re-election scuttles the deal.
