House Bill Would Block EPA From Using Advisors That Double Dip On ‘Climate Change’

This is sure to make the members of the Cult of Climastrology very upset

(Daily Caller) House lawmakers introduced legislation to block the EPA from appointing science advisers who are currently taking money from the agency.

The bill stipulates EPA advisers “shall have no current grants or contracts from the [EPA] and shall not apply for a grant or contract for 3 years following the end of that member’s service on the Board.”

“This bill would ensure that scientists advising EPA on regulatory decisions are not the same scientists receiving EPA grants,” said Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith, chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.

In other words, people advising EPA on Hotcoldwetdry cannot be the same people who personally profit in some manner from the rules and regulations, and funding, they recommend the EPA pass.

Smith also introduced a bill to prevent EPA from using “secret science” to develop major regulations. Republicans argue EPA and other agencies shouldn’t be able to base regulations on non-public scientific data.

Well, that would blow out the vast majority of the “science” the Warmists push, as they fight tooth and nail against releasing their raw data, their methods, and how they arrive at conclusions. A later section, on page 7, line 15, notes that all material received by the board must be made immediately public.

Section 2 will also make them upset

20 ‘‘(A) the scientific and technical points of view
21 represented on and the functions to be performed by
22 the Board are fairly balanced among the members of
23 the Board;

That would appear to mean that the board cannot be stacked with just one point of view. Back to the Daily Caller

EPA and environmentalists traditionally argued such science should be kept non-public to protect confidential patient data — though it’s not clear why that can’t be redacted.

“Suffice it to say it will not make the EPA great again; it will gut the EPA at the expense of public health and safety,” Andrew Rosenberg, with the Union of Concerned Scientists, told InsideClimate News in February when Smith scheduled a hearing on EPA “secret science.”

    This is excellent.
Next they should get rid of the Union of Concerned Scientists or rename them the Union of Corrupt Scientists.

You mean all this time the EPA has been appointing science advisers who are currently taking money from the agency? That’s crazy, ridiculous and sounds like an illegal collusion for public funds to me. No wonder they never vary regardless of how sloppy their science is nor how often their models and predictions fail.

It also shows how the soft minds of AGW supporters are so easily fooled and manipulated and how they really don’t believe the “science” since there is very little of that. It’s a job protection scam for people who have degrees where they’d generally be unemployable on their own.

It is not science if it requires “faith”, it’s theology and since we all know these idiots are Godless it must be their religion. I happen to personally know a few couple real atheists and none of them believe in AGW. They readily admit they just don’t have that kind of “faith”. AGW is to science what democrats are to Freedom, neither bear any relation. Even after we took their slaves away.

Even though all life on earth is based on carbon, that basic and essential element has become the devil in the new religion popular among those Americans who regard themselves as atheists. The Gospel of Global Warming offers a version of sin and redemption far less demanding than the Judeo-Christian faith tradition. Buy an electric car (heavily subsidized by taxpayers), carry your groceries home in a hemp bag (but watch out for those meat juices soaking in and contaminating the vegetables you take home next time!) and you’re saved, without ever contemplating your actual sins against your fellow men and women and God.

The patina of “settled science” (an oxymoron) they seize upon disguises the blind demonology that motivates them and perverts genuine science to their own spiritual imperatives.

A woman from Los Angeles who was a tree hugging, liberal Democrat and an anti-hunter purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA . There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree.

As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters.

The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor re-appeared. The angry woman demanded, “What took you so long?” He smiled and then told her, “Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a ‘recreational area’ so close to a Waste Treatment Facility. And I’m sorry, but due to Obama-Care they turned you down.

At the bottom of all man’s institutions, Science included, there is a moral foundation that makes them great or evil. Science, business, religion, government, charity, education, all require integrity and honesty, loyalty and honor, industry and frugality, and community to function successfully. Without these virtues all that is left is power, money and privilege.
