As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page. While we are on pinups, since it is that time of year, have you gotten your “Pinups for Vets” calendar yet? And don’t forget to check out what I declare to be our War on Women Rule 5 and linky luv posts and things that interest me

Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!

Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

      Well done, little guy.
      Well done.

    • Huh

Former President Bill Clinton was a much more frequent flyer on a registered sex offender’s infamous jet than previously reported, with flight logs showing the former president taking at least 26 trips aboard the “Lolita Express” — even apparently ditching his Secret Service detail for at least five of the flights, according to records obtained by FoxNews.com.

Might want to think twice before bringing this one up, Jeff. Where was Hillary when Bill was flying the Lolita Express?

Here in the Poconos, on the 20th of February, when Jim Thorpe is having it’s WinterFest, the sun is shining and it’s pushing 60º F! If this is global warming climate change, why would I ever be opposed to it?

With the same weather yesterday, I got out the power washer, and cleaned the front porch deck and the siding under the porch roof, plus the side steps and part of the siding. Whoda thunked I’d get that done with more than a month left in winter?!

  5. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

We’re anticipating 30F above average today and may break the record high set all the way back in 2016! Of course 30F warmer in July means 120F!! I hope the denier pause comes back soon!

Thank Allah it’s all god’s plan natural. Jim Thorpe sounds like a wonderful place now, with its temperate winters. Get ready for the southerners migrating to get away from the equatorial climate moving into the deep south. Housing prices are really low there too! And it goes without saying, that as a Randian, whatever is good for you is good for… nevermind, Randians don’t give a shit about others.

As a scientist, perhaps you can explain the impact the long term changed climate will have on plant and animal life. The flora and fauna of Louisiana sure differs from that of the Ozarks, so I wonder if we’ll eventually lose our oak-hickory forests here, our white-tail deer and our bluebirds. I wonder if it will get more difficult to grow corn in Iowa and Illinois or wheat in Kansas? That’s OK, our Canadian neighbors will be happy to become the world’s breadbasket, and will treat us fairly.

Our hog and cattle industries are also primarily midwestern. Ever wonder why we don’t have more beef cattle in places like Arizona and Nevada? Or why we don’t grow more crops there? Ocean fish populations have already moved from warming areas to more temperate – hundreds of miles in some cases. But you don’t need to worry about that sciency stuff – it’s nice today in Jim Thorpe PA.

Assuming that we get a few degrees of climate warming, as you noted, the agricultural productivity in the north should expand. Given that agriculture still exists well south of us, I’d guess that agriculture will continue in the Confederacy.

What makes you think there are few cattle in Nevada? I worked on cattle ranches in northeast Nevada, outside of Elko, in the 70s. The cattle ranches tend to be pretty large, with more acreage per head than in the east, but there are plenty of cattle out there.

  7. Jeffery says:

What makes you think there are few cattle in Nevada?

Data. But that’s not what I said anyway, was it? Your anecdote not withstanding, Nevada was 37th in 2015, contributing 0.48% of the national total. We in the reality-based community (61% of Americans) prefer data over your stories feelings.

Asking why there aren’t more people in Wyoming is not the same as saying there are few people there. You would counter that you went to Frontier Days and the line for deep fried hog balls was long, “proving” that there are lots of folks there.

The point is that as the climates in states like Kansas and Oklahoma and Missouri get more like Arizona and Nevada, the crop and livestock industries are likely to change.

  8. Jeffery says:

The Senate probably expected Sec of State Tillerson to be involved in foreign policy.

A week before Michael T. Flynn resigned as national security adviser, a sealed proposal was hand-delivered to his office, outlining a way for President Trump to lift sanctions against Russia.

Mr. Flynn is gone, having been caught lying about his own discussion of sanctions with the Russian ambassador. But the proposal, a peace plan for Ukraine and Russia, remains, along with those pushing it: Michael D. Cohen, the president’s personal lawyer, who delivered the document; Felix H. Sater, a business associate who helped Mr. Trump scout deals in Russia; and a Ukrainian lawmaker trying to rise in a political opposition movement shaped in part by Mr. Trump’s former campaign manager Paul D. Manafort.

At a time when Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia, and the people connected to him, are under heightened scrutiny — with investigations by American intelligence agencies, the F.B.I. and Congress — some of his associates remain willing and eager to wade into Russia-related efforts behind the scenes.

The amateur diplomats say their goal is simply to help settle a grueling, three-year conflict that has cost 10,000 lives. “Who doesn’t want to help bring about peace?” Mr. Cohen asked.

But the proposal contains more than just a peace plan. Andrii V. Artemenko, the Ukrainian lawmaker, who sees himself as a Trump-style leader of a future Ukraine, claims to have evidence — “names of companies, wire transfers” — showing corruption by the Ukrainian president, Petro O. Poroshenko, that could help oust him. And Mr. Artemenko said he had received encouragement for his plans from top aides to Mr. Putin.
