Good News: You Now Know If Your Child Is Gender Confused

From the slightly less bat guano insane than other liberals liberals at Vox

How to know if your child is transgender, according to an expert

It’s a troubling fact: Anti-transgender parents can damage their children — potentially for life. A lot of research shows that if parents or families reject, mistreat, or otherwise mishandle a child due to the child’s gender identity, they can significantly increase the risks of the child acting out, developing mental health issues, and attempting suicide. So how can a parent make sure that they get this right?

In other words, they should coddle this stupidity at the children’s young ages. Here it really comes

German Lopez: How can parents realize if their child is transgender?

Diane Ehrensaft: Like other parts of parenting, keep your eyes open and listen. Kids will send out pretty strong smoke signals that they’re working out something about gender. The parents may not be able to know that the child is transgender right away.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a blood test, which everybody wishes we did to be crystal clear. We can only get a cross-section of a child and where that child is at the moment.

Here’s what we look for:

If a child says something like the statement, “you have it wrong; I’m not the gender you think I am” or “why did God get it wrong?” or “can I go back in your tummy and come out with the right parts?” you want to pay attention to those signals.

Seriously, what kids talk like that unless their parents and/or teachers are Leftist morons espousing asininity about there being more than 2 gender pronouns, that gender is fluid, and all the other rest? Even then, it’s doubtful most kids, especially young ones, speak like that, except on a scripted TV show.

If a child, particularly a young child, is really excited about their body parts, and says “Can I grow one?” or “Can I cut this one off?” there’s often a signal of a real unhappiness with the body that you have and that marks you as a boy or a girl in the culture.

It’s a real signal that the children should be taken from the parents and placed with a sane guardian. Or someone in their life should be excluded with a restraining order for child abuse.

It, unshockingly, gets worse as you read on. And it is long long long.

Teach you have no sympathy for the lives of others even children

  2. Jeffery says:

Teach, you’re an ignorant boob, and a cruel simpleton. Have a nice day!

  3. Jl says:

Former head of psychiatry at John Hopkins http://cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/johns-hopkins-psychiatrist-transgender-mental-disorder-sex-change. Why do you two fools have no sympathy for the gender confused? Suicide rate up to 20times higher than general population

  4. Jeffery says:

The term “gender confused” is a slur. Why do you use it?

Do you think slurring and condemning transgendered kids makes their lives easier?

Do you think acceptance might reduce the suicide rate?

  5. drowningpuppies says:

    Gender confused?

    No, gender fucked up.

  6. Dana says:

The problem isn’t that individuals, some of whom are children, are ‘gender confused,’ the problem is that liberal adults appear to be so gender confused that they can’t tell males from females. Every other mammal, every bird, every reptile, can tell males from females within their own species, but liberal Americans cannot.

  7. Dana says:

    Jeffrey is concerned:

The term “gender confused” is a slur. Why do you use it?

Jeffrey is right, Mr Teach. You should use the more accurate term, ‘delusional.’

Do you think slurring and condemning transgendered kids makes their lives easier?

Do you think acceptance might reduce the suicide rate?

Acceptance of mental illness? Acceptance of delusion? I remember when the left used to call themselves the ‘reality-based community,’ but now they are so divorced from reality that they believe it is normal, acceptable and wise to accept delusions.

  8. the problem is that liberal adults appear to be so gender confused that they can’t tell males from females.

Ding ding ding! Dana hits the nail on the head. The post is not about the children, it’s about the unhinged leftist adults, who are unable to understand biological gender, and, instead of setting kids on a correct path, condone and push the idiocy. A 5 year old may have a bit of confusion. They’re 5. It used to be that parents and adults would laugh and nudge them back to reality. A girl being a tomboy doesn’t mean they think they are a boy. Except in Liberal World.

    • John says:

Teach exactly how much experience do you have in parenting ?
Considering your own experience as a child and what a fortunate outcome occurred I am both surprised and disappointed in your views
Teach it sounds like you think gender problems can be “cured”, perhaps with some sort of punishment or negative reinforcement ?

  9. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

You should use the more accurate term, ‘delusional.’

Says the “man” with a girl’s name on the blog whose author looks like Jane Lynch.

We get it. You think the transgendered, gay and lesbians are icky. The world has left you behind regarding your discrimination against gays, and the transgendered are not far behind. Decent society will work this out and you’ll be able to return to your caves and lick your wounds or stroke your egos or whatever it is the personality disordered do.

Speaking of mental illness, has your personality disorder been diagnosed?

  10. Jeffery says:

    Real men protect children.

It’s difficult to express how wrong you self-identified “men” are on this issue. You’ve chosen the path of mean-spiritedness and ignorance, which may serve your politics well, but is no way to live.

We’ve supplied numerous medical journal articles explaining the complexities of gender identification which either you didn’t read or didn’t understand (after all you even deny the science of global warming). You advocate checking the birth certificates of everyone who needs to pee.

You attack children who have a problem. You mock kids. You are a “tough guy” who picks on children. You call them names. “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

    Real men protect children.

What kind of “man” are you?

  11. Jeffery says:

The problem is bathroom fascist conservatists wanting to use the State to monitor who goes into what bathroom.

The problem is bully conservatists ridiculing children instead of protecting them.

  12. drowningpuppies says:

    Real men protect children.
What kind of “man” are you?

–that little guy who exaggerates often and thinks assraping prepubscent boys is ‘manly’

    Well okay then!

  13. Jeffery says:

    drowningpuppies,

You’re describing a horrific crime. As I’ve advised you many times call 314-638-5550 (local police) and report me (Teach has my complete name). The police station is less than a mile from me.

  14. drowningpuppies says:

Soooo, the little guy who exaggerates often falsely accuses others but is concerned about accusations that may be true about himself.

    Well okay then!

  15. Dana says:

Jeffrey thinks that he can somehow hurt my feelings:

You should use the more accurate term, ‘delusional.’

Says the “man” with a girl’s name on the blog whose author looks like Jane Lynch.

Jeffrey, I grew up with this name, in the South. I was the first kid to wear glasses, was the tallest, skinniest kid there, and I had what the other kids heard as a funny (Maine) accent. Somehow, I was tough enough to survive that. At 63 years of age, it’d be kind of difficult to hurt my feelings that way now.

We get it. You think the transgendered, gay and lesbians are icky. The world has left you behind regarding your discrimination against gays, and the transgendered are not far behind. Decent society will work this out and you’ll be able to return to your caves and lick your wounds or stroke your egos or whatever it is the personality disordered do.

It is simple: I will not accept lies as the truth. I still can’t figure out why you do.

Speaking of mental illness, has your personality disorder been diagnosed?

Only liberals would see not accepting lies as the truth as a personality disorder.

  16. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

So you don’t like being insulted about your girlish name? It hardly seemed to just roll off your back as you claim. It seems that everyone making fun of you, mocking you, and ridiculing as a child over what now seems trivial to you so many years later left an impression.

Now, imagine you’re 8 years realizing that what people think about you doesn’t square with how you think of yourself. Imagine that 8 year old that everyone says is, and treats as, a boy feels with all her soul, heart and being that she is in fact, a girl. Your prescription: “Man up kid, you’re delusional. You’re mentally ill. You’re a pussy. Now, act like a man. You’re embarrassing me in front of my friends. You’ll have years to kill yourself later.”

  17. Jeffery says:

    Mr. Puppies,

Better yet, rather than Mr. Teach giving my contact info to one of the two resident psychopaths here, you should persuade Mr. Teach to call the county police here with my info.

If I don’t hear from the police in a few days, Mr. Teach and I both will have concluded, if not proven, you are full of shit.

What kind of “man” are you? The kind that claims to have witnessed a horrific crime but does nothing about it.

    Mr. carver,

This also applies to you. You accuse me of being a rapist. Can you back your accusations of my horrific crimes with action?

  18. It’s always interesting how liberals are virtually unable to defend their positions, so they turn to personal attacks to deflect the debate.

    Jeffrey:

    Real men protect children.

Yes, they do. Real men teach their children to not fall for idiotic leftist notions of gender being fluid. They teach their kids that there is nothing wrong with being their biological gender, and teach little boys that they aren’t really little girls (and visa versa). They don’t coddle stupidity.

  19. Hank_M says:

jeff wrote: “Says the “man” with a girl’s name on the blog whose author looks like Jane Lynch.”

You’re going to hold your breath and stomp your feet next, aren’t you?

  20. Dana says:

    Jeffrey plays amateur psychologist:

    Dana,

So you don’t like being insulted about your girlish name? It hardly seemed to just roll off your back as you claim. It seems that everyone making fun of you, mocking you, and ridiculing as a child over what now seems trivial to you so many years later left an impression.

[Laughter] If I had been that upset about it, I could have gone by my middle name. You were the one who tried to hurt my poor little feelings, so I answered you.

So, your solution is to lie to the boy?

There’s a show called “I am Jazz,” about a boy who decided, at the age of three or five or something like that, that he was really a girl, and his idiotic parents decided to go along with it. (I’m assuming that the premise of the show is true, which might be a stretch.)

The parents found some quack to prescribe puberty blockers for this boy dressing as a girl, and got him dolls and makeup and dresses. There was one episode where ‘Jazz’ was lamenting that “her” other female friends all had boys interested in them, but that none of the boys was interested in “her.”

Why not? Because it doesn’t matter that ‘Jazz’ got puberty blockers and it doesn’t matter that ‘Jazz’ thinks he’s a girl; the other boys aren’t interested in him because they’re interested in girls, and he’s a boy! The high school boys all know that ‘Jazz’ is a boy, and, being normal boys, they aren’t interested in him.

‘Jazz’ will never be a girl. Once he turns 18, perhaps his parents can find him some quack physician to give him fake boobs and a faux vagina, but he will still not be a girl.

Yes, the better option is to try to get him some psychiatric help, to help him accept that he is male. It’s entirely possible — and I’d say, probable, given his supposed parents have wounded him — that he will never be mentally right.

  21. david7134 says:

    Dana,
This topic is one that really sets off Jeff. I am sure he has female leanings. But always remember when dealing with this guy that he was educated on our dime and his business is funded by taxpayer money, which he does not pay back (remember the experiment of the shrimp on the treadmill, that is what he does).

The fact is that medicine is not in agreement on this transsexual issue. The best advice is that the public should not support what most doctors consider a delusion.

  22. o0Nighthawk0o says:

To the idiot left, if a 4 year old decides for themselves that they want a closer look at a gorilla then the parents are to blame and should be strung up. Let that same child at the same age decide they are really the opposite gender then the parents should encourage that and when they do, they are held up as shining examples of good parenting.

  23. gitarcarver says:

The problem is bully conservatists ridiculing children instead of protecting them.

Yet the laws would allow people who merely claim to be transgendered to enter a bathroom of the opposite sex.

That’s the problem Jeffery and on some level, you have to know that.

Instead of protecting children, you and your ilk are putting kids at risk.

When you get called out on that, you lash out like a 3 year old who hasn’t gotten what they wanted.

As for being a rapist, I am just going by what you said. The odd thing is that the other day, you used the same standard in an attack on drowningpuppies.

You may remember that you said that everyone who believed in God or was a Christian was “delusional.” That would, of course, include your wife. (I wonder if the “real man” in you had the guts to tell her that you think she is delusional in her beliefs, but that is another issue for another day.”

A delusional person cannot form consent for sexual acts, Jeffery. Most people know this, but apparently you didn’t care.

Whether you realized it or not, you admitted to raping a woman you felt was delusional.

And now you come along and talk about “real men protect kids.” Yet your history and comments here show that you aren’t interesting in protecting kids or women.

In other words, you’re just another liberal.

  24. Dana says:

    Mr Carver wrote, concerning Jeffrey:

You may remember that you said that everyone who believed in God or was a Christian was “delusional.”

Even accepting Jeffrey’s definition that a belief in God is delusional — solely for the sake of argument, of course — if God does not exist, and therefore people who believe in God are deluded, they would be deluded without evidence: no one, after all, can prove that God does not exist.

But it’s another kind of delusion entirely to have actual evidence, as in a person’s genitals, and still believing that someone with a penis and testicles is actually a girl.

  25. Jeffery says:

Did I ever say a belief in gods was delusional, or did I accurately say that there is absolutely no evidence to support the existence of gods, demons, angels, miracles or magic? Mr. Carver made the jump that your beliefs are delusions. It’s just beliefs in gods, demons, angels and miracles and magic are unsupported. Kind of like believing Shaq was a better center than Bill Russell. Not a delusion, just unsupported by evidence. If you want to call religious believers “delusional”, that’s on you. As I always say, I could be wrong.

Mr. Carver makes the astounding leap that consenting sex between agnostics and believers is always rape, so much so that he accuses all agnostics and atheists of rape. And Carver is relatively smart for a conservative! And you wonder why your movement is in the toilet.

dana – Your humiliation as a child clearly had a lasting impression and may contribute to your current need to humiliate children today, at least online. You would never verbally assault a child in public, would you, regardless of how odd you thought they looked, right? We hope not!

dave (Kleagle-Dee) – Why do you even type stuff? Most of what you type are lies, mostly wrought out of your own psychological projections. YOU make a good living off federal subsidies – Medicaid and Medicare patients, whom you repeatedly call lazy and stupid (conservapedia translation = Black).

Listen “men”, conservatists have never been strong on empathy. We get it. You have never been strong on evaluating evidence, especially evidence that conflicts with your deeply held beliefs. This is to be expected of those who do not have “reason” as the cornerstone of their existence. We get it. Gender identification is clearly more complicated biologically than your beliefs allow, but your willful ignorance does not permit you to assault transgendered children or adults.

You want to check birth certificates at public bathrooms, ostensibly to protect defenseless women from predatory male rapists who dress as women. Really? This is where you’ve decided to make your stand against males assaulting girls? Unbelievable. No wonder your movement is about to have the plug pulled.

Did any conservatist “man” answer my query about the Stanford rapist getting only 6 months for rape? Wouldn’t this be a good place to start – showing you will not stand for violent rapists not being punished for violently raping a girl? You’re faux outrage is showing.

  26. gitarcarver says:

Did I ever say a belief in gods was delusional,……

    Yes.

In fact you said that those who believe in God were delusional.

Mr. Carver made the jump that your beliefs are delusions.

Caught in his own words, Jeffery tries to wiggle out by blaming others for the things he wrote.

If you want to call religious believers “delusional”, that’s on you.

I agree. It’s on you as you said it – not me.

So have you told your wife you think she is delusional? Have you told your kids that you think their mother is delusional?

Mr. Carver makes the astounding leap that consenting sex between agnostics and believers is always rape, so much so that he accuses all agnostics and atheists of rape.

Most people would know that when they are in a hole to stop digging. This simple idea is lost on Jeffery as now he desperately trying to get away from his own words.

You said your wife was delusional. People who are delusional cannot consent to sex.

Really Jeffery I thought that you’d come up with a better defense for your actions and words.

    Your writings here are pathetic.

  27. Jeffery says:

    Mr. Carver,

You’re delusional. And you’re a pathetic idiot to boot.

We get it. We whip your butt over and over, and you’re threatened. A cornered animal is dangerous.

You said your wife was delusional.

    Prove it, asswipe.

  28. Jeffery says:

    Mr. Carver typed:

You said your wife was delusional.

Like I said I raped someone? I’ve already proven that to be a lie on your part.

You’re a poor twisted soul. Come back when you have something relevant to discuss.

    Buh bye.

  29. Dana says:

    Amateur psychologist Jeffrey wrote:

dana – Your humiliation as a child clearly had a lasting impression and may contribute to your current need to humiliate children today, at least online.

Now, how do you know that I was “humiliated”? It’s entirely possible that I won every fight that resulted; you’d have no way of knowing.

You see, Jeffrey, unlike the left, I don’t believe that whatever insults a child may have suffered must make some sort of “lasting impression.” We, or at least conservatives, do something really radical and grow up!

How, I ask, am I “humiliat(ing) children” by telling the truth? That’s the part you really don’t seem to understand: the truth is the truth, period, regardless of how some people might wish it otherwise.

It does allow us to tell the truth, Jeffrey. “Gender identification” is not complicated at all: either one understands that he is the sex that he is, and is psychologically normal — at least in that regard — or he does not, and that means that he’s delusional.

Did any conservatist “man” answer my query about the Stanford rapist getting only 6 months for rape? Wouldn’t this be a good place to start – showing you will not stand for violent rapists not being punished for violently raping a girl? You’re faux outrage is showing.

While our esteemed host hasn’t put up a post on it, many other conservatives have, including me.

Mr Turner isn’t being punished enough, in my opinion, but he is being punished.

  30. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

You are wrong on gender dysphoria, and cruelly so. Can telling the truth be humiliating, you ask. Of course. Gender dysphoria has biological origins, and is not solely a psychological problem.

I appreciate you writing about the horrible Brock Turner and the system that has put him back into society. Perhaps this is what Mr. Trump meant by having a judge more aligned to the genetics and life of plaintiffs. Judge Persky is a Stanford grad, and a white male who seemed very sensitive to Turner’s plight. Why should one rape at 20 change your life? Ask the victim.

  31. John says:

  32. gitarcarver says:

Like I said I raped someone? I’ve already proven that to be a lie on your part.

    You haven’t proven anything.

You said people who believe in God are delusional.

Your wife believes in God therefore you said she is delusional.

I know that logic isn’t your strong suit but your twisting and turning in the wind on this shows that you don’t even have the mental capacity to understand what you said or the moral fortitude to admit that you called your wife delusional.

Wonder how your kids feel about you calling their mother delusional?

  33. Jl says:

Jeffery is less concerned about a suicide rate than if a term is a slur or not. More proof that liberalism is a mental disease, in that possible hurt feelings outweigh anything else. But tell me, what PC Brownshirt decided that is a slur? How far we’ve fallen-the word “gender” and “confused”, which perfectly describes the situation, is a slur. At least to the ignoramuses of society. Hello, Jeffery

  34. Jeffery says:

    j,

Do you have evidence that treating the transgendered with the dignity and respect they deserve causes them to commit suicide?

    I didn’t think so.

Will you admit to at least the possibility that the social stigma of being transgendered contributes to their suicide rate?

Don’t play dumb. Why is “gender confused” a slur? Because it is. Ask Mr. Teach – and if he answers honestly he’ll admit he uses it as a slur. They are not confused, you and Teach are. We all know the slurs – warmist, denialist, communist, fascist, etc

The usual suspects here, and King Kleagle all make pronouncements about the transgendered, yet refuse to learn anything about the transgendered – denying that they even exist. You refuse to acknowledge what science and medicine is telling us. Why? It’s always hard to admit you’re wrong. It’s hard to accept facts contrary to your deeply held beliefs. It’s hard to give up deep-seated hatreds.

The evidence is clear. There is more to gender identification than penises, ovaries and testes. It is now clear that unseen biochemical, endocrine, gene expression, enzymatic, neuroanatomical and neurochemical factors also play a role in determining who a person is. For the vast majority of us the brain matches the equipment, but for some, there exists a mismatch. You refuse to acknowledge these complexities, sticking with your iron-age thinking about gender.

You are letting your sympathy for people with a mental illness affect your judgement, to the point where you are denying the truth just to not hurt their feelings.

  37. Jeffery says:

    Dana,

It’s OK to be wrong. Conservatives must be used to it by now. Conservatives are like a car going 20 mph on the freeway, with society racing past at the speed limit.

If someone had health and functioning genitals, then ‘gender dysphoria’ is an entirely psychological problem.

    That’s absolutely untrue.
