Naomi Klein: ‘Climate Change” Is Making Everything Worse Or Something

But, not her. She’s not one those nasty, mean, self righteous lefties. She is one of those who tells us that this whole charade is actually about changing all our economic and political systems to hardcore Leftist ones. And

(Guardian) Climate change is spawning injustice, racism, intolerance and wars, according to author and political activist Naomi Klein.

“It is not about things getting hotter and wetter but things getting meaner and uglier, unless we change the corrosive values that are pitting people against each other,” she said in a lecture held in memory of Palestinian literary critic and political activist Edward Said at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre on Wednesday.

“Fossil fuels, which are the principal driver of climate change, require the sacrifice of whole regions and people. Sacrificial zones like the Niger delta and the tar sands in Alberta, Canada, dot the world.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. How’d she get from Canada to London? A row boat? Or a fossil fueled airplane? But, this is just another example, originating from a leading member of the Cult of Climastrology, that ‘climate change’ is just another vehicle for Progressives to push their hardcore, radical ideas, as they link just about everything to ‘climate change’, as either a cause or that it makes some things worse.

Things like Fort McMurray burning up are normal during the Holicene era

  2. david7134 says:

It just is amazing how stupid people are in blaming fossil fuels for the weather. I wonder why they can’t understand how they are being used?

  3. Zhytamyr says:

“Climate change” causes forest fires? Hilarious. You’ve brightened my day, thank you sir.

  4. jl says:

Things like John saying something stupid are normal during the Obama era

  5. Jeffery says:

As predicted wildfires are increasing in both number and extent.

Perfect. They honor the man who has done the most to fabricate history, for a cause that has done the most to fabricate climate history.

  7. Liam Thomas says:

Jeffery said it yesterday. Its all political. To them its science but to the SO CALLED DENIERS its political.

Most Deniers are not deniers so much as they are understanding that this is a political fight to change the worlds way of life to one of MORE WANT that can only be filled by government handouts.

It is political and how fitting that this person recognize a political hot potato among the most politically devisive people on the planet and use them for weather change purposes.

It is political. It always has been. Its never been about the science they simply use science as a means to hide their political agenda.

  8. Jeffery says:

    Laim,

Of course it’s political. If the issue had no political ramifications no one would be interested in the science of global warming.

We still can’t explain the theory of gravity but there’s no human/social/political issues surrounding gravity, are there? So there is no need for special interests to Deny that gravity exists, no Think Tank symposia, no debates in the House of Representatives over the gravity controversy, no WSJ editorials about Big Gravity trying to change humanity!

We don’t understand all the ecological ramifications of trying to eradicate the bacterium Yersinia pestis or the smallpox virus, yet we’ve made political decisions to favor human health and safety over bacteria and viruses! And rightly so. Plague and smallpox have had grave impacts on human societies. So will global warming. We can slow it now. Imagine in 540CE if a physician had seen the first case of plague and figured out a way to eradicate the bacteria. Or in 1915 a scientist discovered the H1N1 influenza virus and stopped it, saving the at least 50 million lives lost over the next 5 years.

The science of global warming is very clear; the Earth is warming rapidly because we humans are dumping gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year. If those scientific truths had no impact on human existence no one would care. Unfortunately, global warming is already affecting humans and it’s getting worse. We have an opportunity, but that opportunity is closing.

Listen, we’re going to run out of gas and oil in a century anyway, let’s just speed the transition a bit. If you can find a way to burn coal WITHOUT significant CO2 production, problem solved – and you’d become a billionaire!!

  9. Zhytamyr says:

You can be certain that your arguments have merit when they always contain name calling…

  10. Jeffery says:

And the only name-calling came from the self-proclaimed “skeptics”. Typical projection.

    Teach: Leftist
    Teach: Cult of Climastrology
    david: stupid
    jl: stupid
    rick: ignorant
    you: hilarious

Is that what you meant? Since the “skeptics” did all the name-calling, their arguments have little merit. Or were you being serious suggesting that the “skeptics” name-calling proved their point?

Who hurt your feelings in this thread?

  11. Zhytamyr says:

Generally you’re not self-aware enough to refrain from the behavior that others note. I feel like you’re growing as a person. Atta boy, Jeff!

  12. Jeffery says:

More ridicule and name-calling! I expected no less!

As Teach and Trump both recognize and practice, Rule 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

Teach’s entire schtick is mockery and ridicule. He’s little different from any other conservablogger in that regard. Those who correctly recognize that the Earth is rapidly warming from CO2 pollution are called: Warmists, Communists, fascists, the Cult of Climastrology, astrologers, hoaxers, etc etc and so forth. Did I miss any?

Yet, the so-called “skeptics” refuse or are incapable of making any plausible arguments.

We get it. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. I expected no less.

  13. Zhytamyr says:

I honestly thought that you were growing as a person. If you kept it up for a month, I was going to spring for a month coin. You can do it buddy, we’re rooting for you.

  14. david7134 says:

    jeff,
You use obfuscation and word play to cover your points, or lack there of. Conservatives don’t necessarily deny warming or any other climate change, over the last several years that has been pointed out to you repeatedly, yet you can’t get the concept. Yes, now come up with a chart or web site that says different, but even you will have to come to the realization that conservatives are actually smarter in science and other areas than the average liberal. Now, the issue is really not about climate change, it is the link of man and fossil fuels to the issue, and no matter what web site or fabricated paper or statistic that you come up with you can’t make that link. It makes me really think that your drug stats are just as fabricated. Then, the only, only solution that you have is taxing and ruining the economy.

  15. Jeffery says:

Zamfyr, I care so little what you feel. Unless, of course, you wanted to actually discuss a topic.

    dave,

Word play? The Earth is warming because of CO2 we’re adding to the atmosphere. Very direct and simple. There’s no word play.

It’s the conservatists that rely on obfuscation and misdirection. “Skeptics” are slow to accept scientific facts that conflict with their emotional beliefs. That’s OK, as long as you finally accept reality. “Skeptics” have recently changed their tune on global warming, proclaiming, “Of course we know it’s warming, it’s just the cause we ridicule, and/or the prescribed solutions.”

Tell us more about your feelings that mitigating global warming will ruin the economy. We would expect your treatise to contain some actual evidence.

What drug stats do you feel are fabricated?
