If All You See…

…is a world turning to desert from carbon pollution, you might just be a Warmist

The blog of the day is Victory Girls Blog, with a post on Trump supporters and willful ignorance.

I’m going to do something in this IAYS post I never do: make a statement. I received an email after I had set this post up for a 1pm posting, asking why I picked on Trump so much, and, isn’t that divisive? I make no bones that I am not a Trump supporter, and I think he is not a Conservative. He has some good ideas, and he has some really bad ideas, and I am concerned with his ability to win the General election.

But, here’s the big point I want to make: if you support Trump, you’re more than welcome here at the Pirate’s Cove, just as liberals, even hardcore ones, are. Politics is rough and tumble. People debate and argue and disagree. That’s what makes it fun.

BTW, I’ll reiterate that IAYS posts are open threads, discuss whatever you want.

So a guy who has claimed not to be a part of the GOP, stands against conservatives and acts like a liberal is “owned” by the GOP?

Trump is Hillary without the vagina.

I think the GOPe still doesn’t get it. The hoi polloi are tired of the establishment republicans picking our candidate for us. They are trying to push Marco Rubio down our throats as we speak, but we are having none of it.

Ted Cruz could have been the guy, but his vote on TPP and his despicable actions in Iowa turned a lot of people off that could’ve voted for him. He has continually shot himself in the foot, most likely because of bad advise. I also think he should’ve stayed out of the mud. Trump’s an expert and Cruz is over matched when it comes to tussling in the mud.

Trump is non-establishment…or at least he portrays himself to be. He speaks to the fears Americans feel about the influx of illegal immigrants who take our jobs and some of whom are potential terrorists in disguise.

Basically, Trump is a big FU! to the GOPe establishment. People are tired of the elites pissing down our necks and telling us it’s raining. Trump will be far better than any candidate the Dems put up.

Anybody who thinks Ted Cruz can win a national campaign is dreaming.

Anybody who thinks most of Rubio’s voters will support Ted Cruz without a big quid pro quo is dreaming.

I don’t know how many of the people who denounce Trump on comment boards are Lefty trolls, but I’m betting it’s a lot more than the Cruzzers think.

Ted Cruz just might be this year’s Todd Akin.

    Think about it.

Gee, where have we heard that before?

Oh yeah…..from Ron Paul supporters who felt that anyone and everyone who thought Paul was a looney was a left leaning “O-bot.” How’d that turn out for ya?

Ted Cruz just might be this year’s Todd Akin.

Funny thing is that Akin lost his election because of his comments about women.

Now who in the race has made obnoxious, ridiculous and unsubstantiated comments about women?

    (Hint: It ain’t Cruz.)

Cruz against Hillary would be a classic beatdown of Hillary. Trump vs Hillary would be a side show worthy of a carnival.

There are huge policy differences between Hillary and Cruz. There is very little difference in policies between Hillary and Trump.
