Surprise: UN Links Hotcoldwetdry To Ebola And Zika

Warmists linked Ebola to ‘climate change’ when the latest outbreak occurred. Because Ebola obviously only happens because someone drives a fossil fueled vehicle. And, with the rise of Zika, Warmists linked it in the same manner. Now comes the United Nations

(The Hill) The United Nations is urging action on climate change as a way to prevent the spread of diseases like Ebola and the Zika virus.

In a speech this week, the executive director of the UN’s Environment Programme (UNEP) said officials should take a more aggressive stance toward climate change, highlighting studies that show nearly a quarter of premature deaths around the world can be attributed to environmental problems.

“The spread of Zika, just as with Ebola, has sent a strong signal to the international community that there is a need for increased attention to the linkages between environment and health,” UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner said on Thursday.

What this does is diminish the threat of diseases, putting them under the banner of the More Important Issue to them, ‘climate change.’ Instead of making the diseases the primary issue, they’re secondary to Hotcoldwetdry. Yes, diseases can spread more in certain ways due to a warmer climate. That doesn’t prove anthropogenic causation, or the need for draconian controls on our lives, nor massive taxation increasing our cost of living. Don’t forget, the Black Plague and the 75 million deaths happened during a cooling period.

In fact, we can walk and chew gum at the same time!

We can fight the spread of communicable disease AND the global warming that makes them more widespread!

And even you admit the problem!

Yes, diseases can spread more in certain ways due to a warmer climate.

although you still deny why it’s warming.

Your claim that bubonic plague pandemics occurred during a “cooling period” is untrue, or what you would call a lie.

Are you saying that there is no link at all between those formerly tropical diseases and our environment ?

The current very rapid warming trend certainly is caused by the increase in CO2 generated by our burning of fossil fuels.

What is NOT proven, or even supported by evidence or economic models, is the conservative exaggeration that transitioning to non-CO2 emitting energy sources requires “draconian controls” or “massive taxation”.

William may be on to something with his whole hotwetcolddry schtick!

Record hot in St. Louis yesterday! It’s our normal dead of winter here and it’s almost 80!

Record wet a few weeks ago, too.

And all because of a minuscule increase in tiny CO2, MW of 44 g/mole.
