Court Once Again Blocks Obama Immigration Plan For Illegals

No worries, I’m sure Team Obama has plans to circumvent this court order

(AP) President Barack Obama’s plan to protect from deportation an estimated 5 million people living in the United States illegally suffered another setback Monday in a ruling from a New Orleans-based federal appeals court.

In a 2-1 decision, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a Texas-based federal judge’s injunction blocking the administration’s immigration initiative.

Republicans had criticized the plan as an illegal executive overreach when Obama announced it last November. Twenty-six states challenged the plan in court.

The administration argued that the executive branch was within its rights in deciding to defer deportation of selected groups of immigrants, including children who were brought to the U.S. illegally.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott praised the ruling.

“President Obama should abandon his lawless executive amnesty program and start enforcing the law today,” Abbott said in a news release.

Of course, the problem here isn’t just prioritizing deportation of, as Obama constantly calls them, “the worst offenders’….let’s not forget that the illegal who cold-bloodedly murdered Kate Steinle was one of them, who was protected by liberal San Fransisco….it’s that, as Politico notes, giving “quasi-legal status and work permits to millions of illegal immigrants”. Stealth amnesty.

Hey, look, another one of Obama’s “worst offenders

Ramon Jaime Horta was deported from the United States six times, but still the Mexican national was somehow able to come back into the country and is now accused of a hit and run accident that left a man dead.

Horta (who was identified in some other reports as Ramon Horta-Jaime) was arrested this week and charged with killing Marcello Bisarello. Police said Hort did not have a valid license and was under the influence when he struck and killed the man in Santa Ana, then fled the scene.

He has multiple convictions for drug offenses, battery, and others. How did he end up back in the country?

  1. john says:

Teach if all the undocumented are deported who will be doing the lawn maintenance where you live?

If they are deported 5 million kids who are American citizens will have one or both parents taken from them. How many will you agree to foster care?

    Ummmm…..documented workers?

    Why wouldn’t that happen john?

If they are deported 5 million kids who are American citizens will have one or both parents taken from them.

Once again, we see john offering the line of supporting slavery. His only solution is for the government to take possession of children and not allow the family to return to the parents’ country of origin.

“Who will be doing your lawn maintenance?” John, in the constitution where they talk about the functions and powers of the executive and legislative branches, I guess I missed the exception for lawn maintenance that would allow a president to over-ride congress. But to answer your question, by the law of economics if no one would do the maintenance then the property owner would have to raise the wage he pays to have it done until somebody accepts. But in the end it would get done.

    jl is correct.

    Correct again.
